Sue W

Food OK, but try Casper's just a bit further down the road on the right hand side. Same type of food but much better than here.

Emma E

The guy on the door was rather pushy but we went in anyway and he was very chatty and friendly once inside. He didn't just ignore us once he had got us through the door and came over to talk to us a few times while we there.

I had chicken pita and chips which was average. It was edible but nothing to get excited about. However, the chocolate and banana pancake was out of this world although a bit sickly. I can't remember if it was expensive or not. Probably not, i'm sure I would have remembered if I had been ripped off.

I had a stomach bug the next day. Not sure if it was from this place or somewhere else.

Aine K

Advoid this place at all costs. Got food poisoning from a chicken pita and was in bed for a full day. Very Very Sick!!!!!

Stephanie P

The gyros pita are very good! We went at least 3 times and were never dissappointed. The service was quick and the restaurant stays open very late.

Robert C

Smiler is back!!!! But don't worry he is at Tom and Johns round the corner

Clair H

Can't see how some of you have slated this restaurant!. I found the food, service and prices to be excellent. There isn't anyone on the door anymore, only a polite waiter to welcome you when you decide to go in. The owners are wonderful people as are their staff and they will do anything to make your time there more enjoyable. As far as I'm concerned, Gyroland is one of the best restaurants in Tslivi!.

Jim J

Unfortunately my wife's meal had not arrived when I had almost finished mine. I stopped eating, being a gentleman and enquired where my wife's meal was. Clearly it had been forgotten but instead of admitting that the waiter who took the order tried to tell us they were waiting for the chicken to cook. This despite two tables, who ordered after us being served before my wife with the same meal. Ah well not bad as this is really the only complaint out of 21 nights eating out.

Alan G

AVOID AT ALL COST, nice english guy on entrance tried for about 10 days to get us to eat in there, eventually gave it a shot and what a waste of time it was, i ordered the Kleftiko (lamb)and there was more bone and fat than meat, when i complained the waitress tried to say she did not understand english very well, finished up going across the road for a take away chicken giros

I LOVED THE KEBAB BIT AT THE FRONT. EVERY NIGHT AFTER THE PUB AT ABOUT 6 IN THE MORNING THEY WERE THE ONLY PLACE STILL SERVING FOOD AND THE PANCAKES ARE LOVELY! TRY THE CHICKEN,MAYO AND CHEESE OR SUGAR AND LEMON!! GREAT PLACE FOR A LITTLE SNACK AND MARK AND TOM WORKING AT THE DOOR ARE BOTH TOP BLOKES!

Dawn L

The top bloke at the entrance we know is called Mark, very helpfull. When we sat down at our table it had just been cleared away. There were also other tables that had not been cleared away. When we were seated we were not asked what we wanted to drink...this took about 7-10 mins after being seated. We had the Greek platter (both the chicken and pork) anf the chicken strips were over cooked and dry. After paying the bill the same tables had not been cleared away. Looking back now I can see why it need a top bloke to pull in the customers.

Maureen T

My daughter and I ate here during June and found it to be very good value with resonably quick, very pleasant service. The new 'man on the door'[Asif]was much more than pleasant - he is extremely charming and has a wonderful command of several languages.

Philip C

I wouldn't eat here if I were you. It looked nice enough. I had a mixed grill but was unable to find the steak, which I was promised. Most of it was cold. The total price was twice what I would pay at Mario's....The kebab place (part of the restauarant) is probably quite nice. Avoid at all costs.

Robert C

Relax everybody! The "Guy on the door" aka "Smiler" is no more, gone, vanished. He was replaced early May by a femail Dragon who lurked inside and swooped out as you pass but even she seems to have been replaced by a young man who seems quite pleasent. By the way we went in once and had a very nice salad.

Andrew M

What a place, should be in Restaurants from Hell, and who on earth is that freak of nature who I am amazed no one has flattened yet what is it??? My advice, wrestle past bottle tanned freak with toupee!! and go next door (Ariadne), as long as he hasn't pushed you into the road for ignoring him.

Shelley G

i agree withthe little gremlin man on the door what a pain in the a**e eh! the food was great (i reccomend the jacket potato) and very cheap when you want to spend alot of money on your drinks at the nite condsidering what it costs at the chinese down the road across from the xl bar! the freaky man outside always used to come into reportage with his hot pants on trying to chat me and my mate up but don`t worry weren`t having any of it!! cya x

Don R

All I can really say about this restaurant is 1.Bloke outside basically tries to push you in. 2.Food was cold and the worst I have tasted. 3.We waited over 45 minutes between our starter and the main course, which was not worth waiting for. 4.Check your bill as we had three mistakes on ours

Lucie B

the guy on the door is a pain in the f$%'& a**e, keeps trying to get you in even when he knows you have eaten. great place to eat when bars have closed at 5.30am. they think its funny though to order a plate of chips with tommy sauce!! all the locals go in here after work so if you want to mingle go in here afterwards

Shaun K

The Guy on the door was scary!! So we never went in - good food should advertise itself. Most of the excellent taverna's don't use shock tactics and are full! Shaun & Jo

Stan C

yes the guy on the door does his job , maybe his way not ours , that does not make him a bad person does it ? the food and service were good , but the house wine that we had to send back looked like red scrumpy and had more cloud than we saw all week , we did not even have a taste of it . the second time we passed the guy did not ask us in but motioned with a wave , we think he got the point , tell them when you do not like something ,it does pay to show that we are not all mugs , and perhaps they will appreciate that we are not a captive audience to be exploited .

Michael W

The guy on the door was ok the first night but as we had to go by every night to get into town it became a bit of a pain in the end. Still, that's what they pay him for. The food was OK and on a par with most other places, but when you've been there you like to try other places. Someone tell the doorman......please.

Scott A

Very good food, and remember its a 24 hour taverna, handy for the muchies when you leave the bars late! The pleb on the door, well yes he's a pleb but he finishes at midnight or so! All food was nice, recommend the chicken kebad at 4 am in the morning! If you are looking for something more Greek, try the Ariadne next door. Very good quality food.

Anita W

We agree, the guy on the door was a total pain and if he doesn't get a smack one day I'll be surprised it may be his job to get you in there but he may as well try to tie you up and drag you in. Nevertheless we went in 2 times, the first time was OK but the second time my husband and I both have a funny stomach the next morning so beware. The restaurnet itself is the nicest looking but again people may use it more if it wasn't for the "please please" man outside.

Barry C

please don't eat here. the guy on the door is the biggest pain in the a**e ever. he never gives up and if he was a bit less pushy i would have eaten there.

Jason L

Be nice to the man on the door! Its his job to get you in to try the food. We found the whole experience to be very good. Its a fairly new restaurant which is trying to get established. it has childrens seats, very attentive staff and superb food,Greek or English. I would recommend this place to anyone. Remember it pays to be nice to the man on the door!

Hedley P

Watch out for the man on the door - everyone at our hotel called him 'Smiler' as he jumped out in front of you with a big grin and shook your hand trying to make you go inside.I was told that he was a Greek actor who was paid on commission for getting people to go in .The food might have been good but he put everyone off and a couple of people got close to hitting him!

Marilyn K

we went and we loved it the staff were really freindly and the food was good we ended up going about 3 times cos we loved it so much!!!
