Zorbas

zorbas was brilliant. it was probably the most expensive meal we had all week but it was definetly worth it the food was gorgeous! the staff were great especially the young waitor costas he was very friendly and good looking as well!! we will be going back there next july when we go back to zante!

The food here is fantastic the service is great the staff are very welcoming it should have more than 5 out of 10.

How on earth can this place only get a rating of 5/10 ?? Someone is playing silly b*ggers!
We have just returned from a 2 week holiday in Alykes. We had 2 evening meals in our hotel, and 2 in other restaurants. Every other evening meal was in Zorba's. The food we had was fantastic, service superb, the were so friendly and looked after us every time we stepped into the restaurant. I ahve to say their Beef Zante was the best meal i've ever had away from home.

Don't understand why Zorbas only gets a 5 out of 10 rating when it has so many good reviews. We've recently spent 2 weeks in Alykes and ate at Zorbas for 5 of the 14 nights. The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly, and the food was gorgeous. I particulary liked the chargrilled chicken with garlic mushrooms and the lamb kleftika. My boyfriend thought their mixed grill was excellent and we both agreed that their baklava was the best we'd had on the island. I'd definitely recommend trying Zorbas early on in your holiday as you may well want to go more than once.

Sorry I was not impressed with my meal left it ! my friends did not enjoy their meal as well

10/10 - My wife Sue and I have just returned from a superb week in Alikes made all the more enjoyable having dined 6 of the 7 nights at Zorbas. I can't recommend this place enough. It's managed by the most charming Greek family. The chef Billy and his family, from Athens, along with Billy's lady Debbie from Durham work so hard to make every customers time in there special. The food is excellent and such good value. Billy is a master at the char grill. I had a different meal every evening and enjoyed every mouthful, Char grilled free range chicken, beautiful tender pork, tender lamb, and a quite superb Sea Bream. Everything they served us was beautifully cooked and presented and always delivered with superb service. Most evenings we sat down around 8pm and they entertained us both till 11.30 or more with charm, large portions of great food and drink. I cannot understand the rating on this site that would appear to be from only two almost irrelevant remarks. If you go to Alikes do not miss this Taverna and the company of this great team.

This was the worst meal we had during our two week stay in Alykes. The portions were very small compared to all the other restaurants we ate in. We both had a chicken dish but with a different sauce but it was just the same car grilled chicken portion with a different sauce poured on top - it wasn't cooked in the sauce as you'd have expected. Not recommended if you like Greek food.

Lost count how many times we ate here,but the food was just great,the minted lamb was to die for,going back to zante in 2004,and i'll be heading here for my minted lamb,by the way all the other meals are great aswell,as is the service...see you in the summer

zorba's was superb! the friendliness,attentiveness,service and quality of food must rate as excellent. i can't understand why this only got a rating of 5/10 - when i logged onto this website, it should have got 10/10.food was excellent, the specials outstanding - i particularly loved the steak in pepper sauce - especially prepared by debbie ( debbie if you ever read this please can i have the recipe ? ) and the lamb chops - served exactly as you requested and plenty of them.

my husband particularly enjoyed the gyros - both pork and chicken, my daughter enjoyed the pork chops - any man reading this - you will definitely not be disappointed - my son ate everything on his plate - and we all know how much 15/16 yr old youths eat with humongous appetites !!

nice touch with the liquers that came free with the bill, and hope to see you all again soon.

Zorba's was in our opinion the best restaurant in Alykes, the food was excellent, the waitress and waiters were very nice and the price was very cheap, we had 4 meals in one week here.

Great food, superb service and good prices. What more could you want?

Ate here once during our stay. The food and service were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Would recommend you pay them a visit!

The food was very good but portions a bit on the small side .Childrens menu good and Debbie always had a smile .

me and the girlfriend found this restaurant to be one of the best places to eat out in Alykes. Debbie,the English waitress, was very knowledgable of individual dishes, very friendly and the service was excellent. Highly recommend the Mousaka and especially,the stuffed tomatoes!

A noisy corner location but the delightful waitress and the delicious food took out attention away from the passing traffic.

One of the best meals we had on our trip and, along with the Ponderosa, a place I would have no heitation in returning to.

Frankly, if you wanted to use my toilet I'd expect you to be a paying customer!

we didn't eat here but got put off by the rude english girl who had a moan about us using the loo.
