We had the apartment right next to the paradise bar What a night mare! Music'shouting went on untill gone 3.30am 7 days aweek. Our apartment was horrendous filthy dirty' big gaps in the door holes in the wall' lights didn't work' sockets hanging out' ceiling fan loose ready to fall. A broken tile in the pool 1 boy cut his toe on.We spoke to the Kosmar rep she was a total waste of space. I have it all on camcorder to show kosmar.

These apartments are in desperate need of repair and updating

We didn't stay there but had an ace time at the Paradise bar. Felt sorry for people with kids staying there as heard a few moaning. But Bar is out of this world.cant say enough good things about it. Hi to Nick and Shelley and Stavros.Cosmo looked like chav-ville. Big people, more tattoos than Edinburgh and more piercings than an awld dartboard.

Hi Olly,

Met you in the bar area on your first night - good luck for the wedding. I was the one who's flight was cancelled and had to come back! My family are still there.

As for the question re the beach - it is a good ten minutes walk from the Cosmopolitan and with the heat can seem longer. Try to avoid going/leaving between 12-4 as this is the hottest time, it is so worth the walk though as it is a lovely beach.

I loved the cosmopolitan you couldnt have asked for a nicer friendlier place to stay, rooms are small but how long do you really need to spend in them??

we are going to stay at the Cosmoplitan in sept. Our friends stayed at another apartment and said the beach was 30 min. walk the kosmar says 8 mins. Does anyone know how far the beach is? I have read some of the reports and wondering if they are correct.

Olly S

Hi

We are going to these appartments on the 31st July 2005 with 13 other family members.

Getting married out there at the end of the first week.

A bit concerned by some of the reviews and comments on this message board as we have a 2year old baby and some of our family also have children. Is it really that noisy?

The last review said it was so bad they had to move!!

I'll post a message when we return, hopefully!

Olly.

Our room was adequate but a bit dirty, cupboards were broken and place stank of mothballs. The pool is excellent and The Paradise bar was very friendly with good music but the noise levels were horrendous and music and shouting went on til after 2am every night. So bad that we had to find a new hotel to stay in half way through the holiday. Lovely staff at the Paradise but have to say if you want some sleep or if you have young kids - find other accommodation. This place is well known in the area for partying

Ross

Sorry, forgot to set location etc.

Ross

Lisa, as I remember it all the rooms have ceiling fans which were very efficient. If not then there are plenty of places to hire a fan.

Lisa V

Can you hire fans at the cosmopolitan? Someone who is going from my family doesnt deal with heat too well so we need to know

Any idea how good the nightlife is?

Thanks, Lisa

Just back from two weeks at the Cosmopolitan in Tsilivi. We could not fault these apartments. They were cleaned every day and although they are small, they have everything you need for self-catering. The boys in the Paradise Bar could not be nicer and we would not hesitate in booking the Cosmopolitan again. If you are looking for safe, clean and central accommodation, then have a look at these apartments.

Char S

the appartments were really small wen we got there we were greeted by great people (TONY) he took our cases upto the rooms for us. we walked in and were very surprised. although the room was very small we had a great time and most nites tony wud throw water bombs into our room, but they never smashed so we wud throw them back and they wud lad (usually) at his feet. i had a great week there and i miss every one they were great and it was one of the best weeks ive had away. maybe ill be back nxt year who knows!! and the added bonus is that the bar is just next to the appartments so u dnt have to walk to far. they were clean and tidy, just a little to small. miss you

just back from the cosmopolitan. having never been to greece before, accomodation a bit of a culture shock! rooms small but you only shower and sleep in them and they were ok. staff were excellent and paradise bar really good for families. would go back to tsilivi and the cosmopolitan apartments, pool area great for adults and kids and kept very clean.

Having been to these appatments in 2000 we booked again to return this year. Checking out this web site i was apprehensive after reading so many negative comments.
On our arrival the first word we heard was "welcome" from the very friendly owners. We were actually in the same appartment as the previous visit and found it to be clean, tidy and had everything we needed for our two week stay. The bed linen and towels were changed regularly and the appartment cleaned daily by the very friendly maid. The appartments are only small but are perfectly adequate and the friendliness of the staff far outway the benefits of a little extra space that you dont need anyway!
The pool area was hosed down daily and the pool very clean. There are plenty of sunloungers with cushions that are much more comfortable than the ones on the beach!
The noise from the bar can be somewhat loud well into the early hours, our appartment was ajoining the bar, the music is not booming dance music but more middle of the road and did'nt disturb us too much. What did disturb us, again in the early hours, was the foul mouthed english holiday makers, not necessarily staying in the appartments, who had too much to drink and no consideration for other people. You can stay at the Ritz and have these same ignorant people for neighbours and have the same problem. It is not the fault of the establishment or the staff.
For the price we paid for our holiday we had good value for money, good service from Mel, our Kosmar rep and from the staff at the cosmopolitan. We would thouroughly recommend to anyone looking for a clean and basic base from which to enjoy this beautiful island.

Pam P

We stayed in one of the upstairs rooms found it to be clean and the maid was very good. when we booked the appartment we were more than pleased especially as for the cost we expected a lot less

Douglas W

went to cosmopolitan in june 2003. booked a pool view ,ended up with a tree one side and a zoo the other side. our apartment (35) was fairly clean until we looked under the beds, where we found glass ,money (not enough for a drink), a football and filth. the lock did not work properly on the door, when we mentioned it ,we were totally ignored by the kosmar reps.

Mark H

Just got back after a fortnight at the Cosmopolitan apartments. First impressions were poor to say the least. The apartment on arrival was filthy, the previous occupants having left us 1 empty pop bottle, 1 empty snickers wrapper under the bed and 1 half smoked cigarette, in a half full ashtray on top of kitchen cupboards, which was there when we left and probably still is. These apts are not for the faint hearted but, anything can be got used to. The pool area was nice and the staff, Stavros in particular, were excellent. Beware of Alex the guard donkey he aint too friendly. Even after a good holiday we would not reccomend these apts although with a good overhaul they could be really nice. The Paradise bar which belongs to the apts needs a total revamp. Also it needs to remember that it is geared towards families and therefore should limit the noise to a reasonable level and not encourage people to swim in the pool in the early hours when guests are trying to sleep.

Julia C

does anyone know how far away sandy maria apts are from cosmopolitan apts thanks

J P

These apartments are in need of an overhaul. The people staying in the main block on the ground floor said it was damp (especially the corner one). We were in 'the block at the rear' and it was much quieter. Those in the main block were constantly woken-one night with 'outsiders' stealing their towels to go skinny dipping.
One couple arrived after we had been there a week and the previous occupants were blamed for grotty cups! Take your anti-bacterial liquid/wipes etc!
The pool was nice and deep (for us taller people)and Stavros from the Paradise was a gem.

Claire R

We have just booked for last week in September first week in October. Has anyone been at that time of year as we would like to know if the weather will be warm? Also we are staying in a 1 bedroom apartment will this be big enough for a 5 year old a 1 year old and 2 adults?

Diane H

We've stayed in these studios & although they are small thay are more than adequate. The friendly owners make up for the lack of space. We were pool side & had no bother sleeping. (Maybe the ouzo helped!)

Rebecca

I went to Tsilivi last year with my mum when i was 16. I was probably part of an extremely small minority of teenagers, it really is a family resort. All the bars/restaurants are great with younger children.
Hope this helps!

Ross

Penny,
We have been to Tsilivi for the last 3 years and are due to go again in August. It is one of the friendliest resorts we have ever been to and we have never witnessed any trouble. These apartments are attached to the Paradise Cocktail Bar which is (according to Yannis the owner) the best bar in Greece. Do not worry. P.S. the beach here would be wonderful for the 2 year old.

Penny A

My daughter is a single parent and has a two year old son. We would like to take her on holiday. Somewhere where we can all join in and don't feel worried about lots of drunk people mind you we will all have a drink but its gangs of youths I am worried about. Will this be ok

Graham F

The appartments were as small as hen hutches and not much cleaner.Their cleaner needs a course in hygiene (she does not take away the lav bin bag, but empties it into a bigger bag and replaces the oringinal liner, great eh!) The staff were friendly and fun, especially Stavros. The location was great too, central for all the bars and tavernas.

Gail

hello every1. I have just coming back from an excellent holiday staying at the cosmopoliton studios. Yannis and the crowd at paradise r all off their heads, they r mental and crazy but they all have a heart of gold, yannis's wife leslie is really nice and helpful 2 english ppl b coz she comes from scotland and can speak good english and fluent greek. But the apartments and studios r really nice and clean, they get cleaned and tidied nearly every day. me and my parents stayed at the block which is behind the pool area, it hasent got much of a view but it is v.quiet which is helpful at nite time b coz yannis and his crew go on till bout 5 in the morning, literally they do. But the pool woz lovely and warm and it woz neva crowded. N e body who is going 2 stay here be sure 2 b in 4 some real holiday therapy

Rachel F

We have just returned from cosmoplitan apt.The location was excellent, we were in a block behind the pool so it wasnt as noisy as the rooms on the front. Our friends stayed in the front rooms and some nights it was 4am before they got to sleep because of the noise from the bar.The maid seemed to forget to mop our room or change the towels.on the whole if the rooms were more cleaner this would have been an excellent apartment

Dr W

I havn't stayed here, but have been told that the appartments arn't the biggest, but arenice. Anyone can use the pool & the beach is about a 5-10 minute walk away.

Elizabeth R

HOW FAR IS FROM THE BEACH? CAN ANYONE USE THE POOL?AND IS IT SAFE FOR CHILDREN? HOW BIG ARE THE APARTMENTS?

Mark H

I stayed in Zante in June/July & was so impressed that I'm going back in 13 days time! Yannis & the crowd at Paradise are all off their heads, but friendly & add to the great time your guaranteed to have there. I can't wait to get back there!

Tracy M

Best hotel and bar in greece!!! Accomodation very clean and well situated with friendly owners and bar staff!

Fiona G

we had a great time here in May this year fro 13th to 20th. stavro overdid it a bit with the vodka on the last night but what a good crowd!Mark from Doncaster did a great Elvis! Yiannis is a great host along with his wife Anna from Glasgow so anyone going out to Tsilivi++ go to the Paradise Bar

Pete R

We had whit week here. It was quite noisy up to 3.30 am, music etc was turned down at 12? We did specify a quiet room, but we ended up about 20 metres from the "anytime kareoke" bar (Kosmar). Owner Yannis and wife very friendly, staff were too. Overall had a good time although local tavernas weren't the best (compared to Santorini & Cyprus ). Zante airport chaos would stop us visiting again.

Claire A

The apartment was right in the middle of Tsilivi so if you like to be in the midst of things is ideal for you. The apartments were behind a bar which we didn't find a problem at the time of year we went (May) as the resort was quite but could possibly be a problem in the height of the season as could imagine it would be quite noisy and if you liked to go to bed early it might keep you awake. The apartments though were generally clean and the staff were friendly. The pool was literally right outside the front door!

Fiona G

has anyone stayed here recently?Coming out on 13th May fiona
