Safety deposit boxes are not in the rooms, they can be found in the Divena next door.

We have just returned from the Elite apartments (Thursday 9th August 2007), we found the apartment’s very basic and very dated, bathroom and kitchen in need of renovation, so be prepared for the shock?

The owner can't be bothered talking to the guests and he speaks very good English with an American accent. Fortunately you are looked after by Tomi who works the Oasis bar, the cleaner works very hard to keep the apartment’s clean, but doesn’t speak English, any problems see Tomi. Location of the apartments is excellent, nice beach at the front and some nice restaurants near by. Oasis bar is good for snacks and the odd cocktail and is reasonably priced.

Beware of the beach late on after the clubs close, some of the guest were robbed while skinny dipping.

Staying at Elite Studios at end of august. Doaes anyone know if there is a safety deposit box in the room or reception?? 

My boyfriend and i have just returned from lagana, and we stayed in Elite. It was the first time for him but second for me as i went 3 years ago.  Reading other peoples comment about the elite has really shocked me as we had a brilliant time and are hoping to return again sometime later in the year. Yes the rooms are basic, but what do you expect for Greece??? Our room was cleaned every day and fresh towels and bed sheets every other day.. The only reason that the cleaner doesn't talk much is she can't understand english (do people ever take that into consideration).

The only thing that i can say that spoilt the holiday was rain.. Apart from that it was amazing, didn't wanna come home.

i agree with michael unless your female the owner doesn t want to know u stayed there last year and it was a pile of pooh i think is the best way to describe it the owners previous to the ass that took over last year were brilliant the location is brillant it a shame its spoilt by that donkey, good job the divina is only a few yards away that a place to have a good laugh in the day and night, dont expect to have a quiet few drinks around the bar they always turn into mad ones either day or nght

we stayed at the elite in july last summer and it was the best holiday ever!!!! at first we were worried about how basic the rooms were.. but to be fair we were only in there to get ready!! the pool is so nice and peaceful for when you want to relax in the day.. ideal location!! and the beach 30 seconds away.. was like our own little private one!! then the nightlife not too close and not too far!! it's perfect!! did anyone see the bridge?! or had it fallen down by august lol!! spiros was awesome... he gave me loads of free drinks & always came to talk to us all!! the cook lady didnt speak much but she seemed nice enough.. cleaners came and did our room every other day.. & george was always there with his binoculars lol!! funny lad!! but i'm confused about who spiros and maria are?!! has spiros left the elite now?! and what about his spiros special .. forgot the recipe.. though he said it every night!! we we're going to book a holiday there this year.. but if it's under new management...............

I don't understand all these other comments, my experience of Elite Studios was excellent. The location right near the beach and also not too far but at the same time not too close to the nightlife was absolutley ideal.  The owner Spiros is definatly a people person and really did add to my enjoyment of the holiday.  As a thankyou for staying there he gave us a bottle of vodka on our last day. We watched England vs Greece on the television there WITH English commentary which not a lot of places would do.  If I was going to Zante again I wouldn't hesitate to go with Spiros and Elite studios again. Our holiday experience was a good time had by all, thoroughly recommended.

  Met by on arrival Room 6 , Front door was dragging onthe floor so it would not open all the way , Kitchen area , large pool of water due to the cleaner trying to defrost the fridge, Bed linen did not look clean it was nearly grey, the towles were the same and stained, Bathroom, the toilet was leaking from the base, sowe had to have towles round it all of the time, The cleaner if you can call her that was ignorant and only understood you when she wanted to, she wore the same cloths to clean, cook, and serve food, bar staff were ignorant unless you were young and female..  SO THE ELITE NEXT YEAR I DON`T THINK SO

I holidayed here last year with a big party of family and had the best holiday possible maria,spiros and mama made us all very welcome which is why we returned this year expecting the same,this was not to be,from day it was a disaster.Firstly i had a ground floor room(which was ideal as my sister and i are both disabled) and the hot tap in the kitchen area could not be turned on at all the sink leaked all over the floor constantly the whole two weeks we were there,the cleaner cleaned maybe once if we were lucky.When we complained to the new owners we were just fobbed off with a load of excuses and the jobs were never put right.We also refused to eat there as my daughter was given mouldy bread with her breakfast and cold coffee there were rats running across the floor and my grand-daughter saw the cook/handyman picking at the food while it being cooked.To end the holiday my sister stripped her bed the morning we left to find the mattress all blood stained,had she noticed this before she would never have slept on it.needless to say we will not be staying there again we will be staying at the divina where the three people(maria,spiros and mama) now run.

well here goes. after a 11 hour delay at the airport all we wanted was a hot shower but we couldn't as there was no hot water.some days we got no cold water.the elite is now under new owners. i now know why spiros has a pony tail, cause when you lift it up there is an a**e hole underneath it.i thought the other two guys who worked in the bar were ignorant and never tried to speak when you walked through the bar to the beach. they were only interested in the girls.on the whole the elite is a s**t hole and i would not take my family there again. still on the bright side if any one wants a great time and a great laugh go to the divina next door and say hello to the best three people on zante they are maria, spiros and mama. you will not find anyone better in the world.

there were a large group of my family that stayed here this year. we booked mainly because we had such a great time last year. unfortunatly those who we went to visit had moved...(maria and spiros)

we stayed in room 13 which was at the top of the spiral stairs, the rep helped us up with our bags bless him....however when we entered the rooms we were sorely disappointed. throughout our stay it was a race to get in the showers as we continually ran out of cold water. the first 2 days we had no hot water. the toliet didn't always flush and we had to endure the most disgusting smell..(sewage!!) entering our rooms whenever we had a window or door open. when it rained which it did but only on 1 occassion the roof in the bedroom leaked and i had to run around placing towels to cover things in the bedroom.

i could go on forever thus the reason we all spent our time at the divina.....where maria and spiros now are!!!!!

loved the appartment last year the two people that made it for us were maria and spiros unfortunatly they are no longer there, we stayed there again this year and what a let down, the new owner is a bit of a p**ck, six of us lads had too share two double beds and two single beds(if you can call them beds more like concrete slabs) and the new spiros couldnt be a**ed getting off his seat to try and help us out we would have been happy if he could have sorted out two camp beds but he just kept passing the buck to other people. it was a big shame because the location is fantastic the pool is good and so is the bar it has the potential to be one of the best hotels in the area, but out of principle we spent most of our days at the hotel divina where the old owers now run and what a laugh we had there, i would not recommend hotel elite to anyone untill it is run by new owers. very disappointed.

i really liked the elite and i really want to go again because it was so exciting i will be going to the elite again on 14th of september and i really want to met spiros and maria again because they were so friendly and nice. i hope i get to see spiros and maria again. all my family cried when we went and i hope we get to see them again.

when i first got to the elite i felt like crying looking at the state of the rooms, the rooms didnt look secure and were way outdated, there was no cold water to wash in and the toilet didnt work for the first two days n broke again a few days into the holiday and we had to wait two days until it got fixed. we had to get a shower near the pool side as the shower in our room had no cold water, the sheets and towels were only changed once and this was because we asked the maid. the maid didnt seem to clean our room all she seemed to do was open the windows. the elite is not organised at all, when we had problems we had to wait for our rep as there is no recepition, when we arrived at the elite the keys to our room were left in the door. there was no safe and no air condtioning, the rooms got so hot at night you were up half of the night trying to get cool. overall wasnt the best holiday i have had to say the least.

Just came back from a two week holiday at the Elite appartments in Lagana and had a fabulous time. The rooms are pretty basic but you are hardly in them. The staff where so friendly, Sprios the new owner is a  fantasic guy and is very welcoming. he is some character and you can always have a laugh and a giggle with him the same goes for the other barman George. The food at the hotel is lovely aswell and the view is beautiful. The pool was great too. We basically had it to our party of 8 for almost the full two weeks. I would definately consider going back again next year!!!

Came back from Zante on Sun 25 June, had a great time! Elite Studios are basic but it's all that you need. Spiros the new owner is a great guy but sadley didn't have a beach party until we left! Definately thinking about going back next year.

hiya my name is tia i am 12 and last june i went to greece. to be honest it was the best holiday i have ever had. i went with the family there was loads of us. i will list all the fab things of the elite studios 1.the pool  2.the beach  3.the rooms  4.the view  and finally the quiz.

all my family like their drink but this holiday they loved their drink (espiecally my auntie janie).

we all got sunburnt but my liitle brother got sunburnt on his legs and couldnt walk

we all cried when we left the elite studios because we made two great friends maria and spiros

 

we are going again this year in sept 14th to 28th hooray

the spiral staircase leads up to the very top apartments so unless you are in apartment 13 or 14 then no you dont have to drag your luggage up there.There are two flights of stairs but it depends on what apartment you have and yes you have to carry your own luggage . Last year when maria and spiros ran the elite it was very clean but the people that run it now i am not sure about but we are due to go again in sept and hope it is still the same but the location you could not ask for better   the first photo is the elite bar the second is the beach which is just down a few steps .the third pic is of the pool. so you can see it is a great place to stay.

Hi everyone, us girlies are going to Elite on 31st August for a week. They said something about spiral staircases on the invoice what does this mean as my friend has a fear of heights believe me even spiral staircases. And do you have to carry your suitcase up them to the apartment. natalie and paula. 

we came out in september and really i was named the stupid one as spearmint kept reminding me!!! the pool is a great hang over cure, and the naked girls running down the beach were funny 2, oh yeh shes here wi us now!!!! on holiday in wakefield!!! well we are coming out nx year so c u then luv fayeness, gracefull and pikey xx

In answer to Kevin White who was wanting information about the Elite appartments.  We booked through Manos, but I know that Maria and Spiro said they were fully booked until the end of Season - end of October - I think.

If you do manage to get booked, I'm sure you will have a brilliant time as we did. 

Maria and Spiros are great hosts (see my previous comment) and we met a lot of lovely people.

Ideal for a couple in their 30's.  We are considerably older than that and had a ball.  Most of the friends we made were younger, but it didn't stop us going to Kamakazi Club and having a good few drinks and load of laughs with them all.

Lovely place, lovely setting and brilliant hosts in Maria and Spiros.

I will be back as the location could not have been better 5-10 mins walk away from the busy strip and what a view you couldnt ask for better and the rooms were very clean. Well we have been back for two weeks now and we are really missing all the people we met i.e Rosanne and Brian who i have still not forgive for lifting me up on to the bar in Kamikazi.You are a lovely couple. Joanne and Neil (who we found difficult to understand after to many beers).Louise and Carl its a good job you wasn't afraid of heights being on that top floor. Hope your flight was not too nerve wrecking (carl). And last but not least Spiro's and Maria who made our holiday one of the best to remember. We will not go on too much about how you both encouraged us to drink (cocktails and shots)

hello to maria, spiros and mamma.

My first trip to Greece was in June of this year when myself and two friends stayed at the Elite in Zante.  We had an amazing holiday and I can honestly say that for the first time in my life I didn’t want to come home!!  Maria and Spiros were absolutely lovely, they made us feel welcome, more than that – they made us feel like part of the family. 

We had such a good time that after we’d been back home for a week we booked to go out there again this September.  I didn’t think it was possible but we had an even better time!!  We felt so welcome by everyone we’d met there in June.  We went with Maria and Spiros to Kamikaze a couple of nights.  The guys behind the bar there were great fun especially Yannis and Peter who seemed to spend most of their days sitting at Maria and Sprios’ bar!!  Sophie the PR outside Kamikaze was so nice and brilliant at her job. 

Best day out was Scuba diving in St Nicholas Beach – we did it in June and again in September and I’d definitely recommend it.

I know it must be hard for Maria and Sprios to keep in touch with a lot of people as everyone they meet seems to love them but we  definitely want to go back there next year.  I need to learn some more “useful” Greek phrases from them both!!!  Take care you dirty, dirty dogs!!!!

We have just got back from the Elite! I recommend it to anyone and everyone! It is in the perfect location, right on the beach and just a short walk from the main strip, about 5 minutes (but far enough away to make it peaceful). The Elite is lovely, mamma cooks the most wonderful food, we would of packed her in our cases and brought her home. Maria and Spiros (well what can i say) they are so welcoming and friendly, they are that extra added bonus on your holiday. We had the best time and the bar be que's well you just have to be there, the food just does'nt stop coming! The pool is always clean and inviting, with lots of space.  Hello to all you lot that stayed at the same time as me and Elle, and thankyou Maria and Spiros for your hospitality. Check out the pics and thanks again for the most spectacular Hols. See you again soon xx

Just a few words to wholheartedly recomend the Elite Studios,in all the years of holidaying in various places this is the first time a fortnight was not long enough all thanks to Spiro,Maria,Adrianna and Arthur who were excellent hosts nothing was too much trouble.I can recomend the Tuna Onion and Mayo baguette with a beer sat in the bar overlooking Laganas Bay it is just the best.The food is excellent the pool, studios and bar are all immaculately clean and it's in a lovely location with great views.We will miss you all and will be back next year with half of our village too the way we have been raving about the place.

Hi Spiros and Maria

thank you so much to maria and spiros for another fantastic holiday.  we have stayed with them 3 times out of the last 4 years.  we even took my parents with us and they just can't stop going back.

love you both loads and also mama and arthur. 

What an amazing holiday we've had thanks to Maria and Spiros and the location of the Elite. If you read the previous comments you'll find that you will have a great time there, well worth booking a holiday, we've been to Greece for many years and this the best so far. We spent most of the time at the pool and bar area and had great fun with Maria and Spiros, Gary won't let his drink out of sight (Maria changed it to Amstel and vinegar), Steve's head still has the marks of the decking and bar, (too much of Spiros's drinks), Mikki thinks he's Tarzan. Maria and Spiros took us out a few nights and we had a great time seeing different places.  All in all a memorable holiday, we'll be talking about this holiday for years to come.

We'll be back again. (Watch out Maria, Gary is planning his revenge.)

Fantastic location

I am going on holiday to the Elite Apartments on 8 Sept 2005 and would appreciate if anyone has any photos and if the studios are on ground level or higher up, do they have balconies and towels supplied, etc. Also let me know if they are all clean relatively ok for a 2 week holiday. I am really looking forward to it as most of the comments appear to be excellent. If you have any advice I am also taking note of any good places to eat and places of interest to visit.

We are booked for next year,are you.8june,2wks,not many places left according to the travel agent.Wot can we bring this year,A BOAT maybe?????????.will give you a call in a few weeks when things get quieter EASY TIGER........

My family stayed here in June and we visited everyday and stayed all day. The place is brill.

We have just returned from the best holiday we have ever had.  Maria and Spiros are fantastic and they have become very special to us.  the room was excellent and very clean.  mama is fab too and the best cook!!  The pool is excellent too.

We went out a couple of times with them to kamikaze and had a ball.  Mr Dallas Greek is also the best place to eat - apart from the elite (he he  ).

I can confirm to you that all the rooms above the ground floor have balconies.

We booked for the Elite apartments July 04 and 13 days before we flew I got a call to say that Manos were no longer offering the Elite for sale and I had to go to other acommodation. Whilst I was there I walked along the beach to the Elite the bar area and patio area are lovely the pool looks nice to. It faces onto the sea with cameo island to the left were pretty location. I cannot comment on the apartments themselves which are set a bit further back. I spoke to Maria the owner she was lovely and didnt have a clue why I wasnt allowed to go there as Manos have failed to inform her of any changes so whether or not they have been dropped remains to be seen.

Loved Laganas loved getting to see a turtle definentely going again and the apartments we moved to they were fab so it turned out okay in the end.

www.manos.co.uk bookings are withheld for next year till the end of july 05 so we have been told. we are finding it harder to get booked up these days.good luck

I stayed at the Elite a few years ago and loved it. I'm trying to book again for May 2006 but cannot find the studios in any brochures. Can anyone tell me who features them?

we have just returned from our very first holiday abroad ever and really could not have wished for one better,if we could have stayed we would . maria,spiros,arthur and mama are the best hosts you could possibly wish for.our girls(tia and dawn) adored arthur and our son (billy) loved spiros.we have added some pics as the ones already on do not show just how great it is . the quiz night comes highly recommended there were 18 of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed our selves(and trust me not one of us were given food poisoning,so those comments are crap).thanks for the t-shirts and spiros cliff said he needed the large but wont be as fat next time you see him. room thirteen isn't the only one with a great view all of the rooms have an excellant view,we stayed in 10 and the view is just fantastic, the pool is brill in fact everything about the elite is and we will be returning.love and miss you guys
