Mimis Studios

I went to mimis last year, it was fantastic, we want to know if we can book directly with the hotel to keep costs down? please e-mail me and let me know

We are looking to book a holiday to the Mimis Studios. We have a 4 month old baby and wonder whether you are able to provide a cot?

We stayed at Mimis Studios 19th-27th June 2005, and had the most perfect holiday from start to finish. Our daughter who is 3 had a great time despite being the only child in the whole complex.  She swam in the pool, enjoyed the kids paddling section, played on the small play park and joined in with the Greek dancers.

We have heard, on this site and others, how good Mimi's is, and how helpful Spiros and Janelle are. Are you near where we will be staying, in a group of 6 villas in an olive grove, specifically Villa Areti? Also, is your pool open to everyone? I like a very early morning swim. Everything I've read about Mimi's makes me wish we were staying there...

My wife and I stayed in Mimis Studios in the last week of June 2005. We were very pleasantly surprised by the high standard of the accommodation-both the apartment and pool area are both kept extremely clean and are very comfortable. We didn't stay too often in the complex itself, but when we did Spiros was very helpful in his very laid back manner.

Myself and my Girlfriend have recently visited Vassilikos and stayed at Mimis Studios. The area was very quiet but the hotel was fantastic. By day the pool area was really quiet and just what we were looking for and by night Spiro and Janell put on some great entertainment. The rooms were very basic but perfectly good enough to make it a good holiday. Would recommend Mimis, Sprio and Janell to anyone we had a fatastic time and they were great. 100% Ben (Hello!!!)

To answer your question about the Welsh flag at Mimis....Myself  Janelle is welsh and runs the  Mimis Studios with my partner Spiros, Obviously when Spiros erected a Greek flag it was only fair for a welsh dragon to join it...See you soon, look forward to meeting you

We have stayed in Vassilikos for the last 3 years and love the place.  We were attracted to the Welsh flag outside the Mimis so have booked it this year.  I'm still not sure of the connection with Wales!

This message is to Julie Finnegan, Vassilikos is a perfect place to enjoy the more traditional pace of greek life, Myself and my partner own Mimis Studios and recommend the studios and area of Porto Roma Vassilikos for a very peaceful and enjoyable holiday, You will find us in a medlife life brochure which is part of Argo Holidays.

Can anyone help? We are recently married and in our earlier 30's and we hope to go to Zante in August (no kids)..we want to stay in a quiet resort in apartment with nice beach, good greek restaurants, bars, (don't like karoake),shops etc..can you recommend? Stayed in Kefalonia last year would like somewhere similar to Skala. We have looked at Kalamaki and Argassi, they don't seem quiet? Does anyone have any other ideas..what is Vassilikos like or maybe Tsilivi?

We have recently returned from a weeks stay at Mimis Studios. After not being away on holiday for a few years, this was everything we could have wanted and more. It was so relaxing and Janelle and Spiros made you feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble.

A definate for going back again next year

My wife. seventeen year old daughter and myself are not long back from an excellent two week stay at the Mimis Studios. We hired a car and managed to see a quite a bit of this lovely Greek island. Many thanks to Janelle and Spiros for making us feel welcome. Spiros, we hope to return some day and I will challenge you to a few games of pool again!

just got back half a hour ago after spending 2 weeks in mimis for the 3rd time, it was absolutly fantastic as always and i cant wait to get back next year!

What can we say... just got back after another brilliant RELAXING 2 weeks at Mimis. Ideal place if you want to go and chill out. Janelle, Spiro, Mum, Dad, rest of family your all fanastic. As for the little puppy CHARLIE.....cute!!!!!
If you want to be brave and want bars bars and bars then get a taxi into Argassi, or wait a couple of years and get a lift on charlies back..lol
Cant say much more except BRILLIANT, and recommend to Anyone.

BEWARE no place to go if your on a diet.......surviving the smell of bacon around the pool bar early morning is difficult......but if your really strong you can survive... but then lunch time arrive s and those home made chips come out.you got NO Chance!! Then finish yourself off with a couple of halves of Mythos beer.erm.........

Just returned from Mimis. Went there last year for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it and this time seemed even better. It's location is very quiet and rural but most things you need are close by. A great little mini-market selling everything for daily needs and several tavernas. Pool and sunbeds are exellent and even though Mimis was full there was plenty of room in and around pool. The friendliness of Spiros and Janelle and Spiros' Father and Mama, not forgetting Charlie, has to be experienced to be believed. Discovered this year that Porto Roma Beach just few hundred yards away, although not too inviting for sunbathing, is great for swimming. Also I must mention Amanda the Argo rep. What a girl. Best rep ever, very friendly, funny, efficient and always came around to check everything ok. Can't wait for next holiday, will be returning to Mimis, only problem is I don't think I can wait for a whole year.

Just returned from 2 fantastic weeks at Mimi's. THINGS WE LOVED - beautiful, peaceful, rural setting, very quiet but pretty corner of Zante; welcoming, informal and relaxed atmosphere; fabulous pool, with underwater music!; Janelle's home made English chips (to die for); Greek night on Tuesdays with BBQ and Greek dancing; very clean apartment, bins emptied daily, thoughtfully equipped with plenty of hangers, light over the mirror which was near a plug point (essential for drying hair!), useful cabinet & mirror in the bathroom, even a shower curtain around the powerful shower; Charlie the puppy; no kids whilst we were there!. THINGS WE DIDN'T LOVE AS MUCH - leaving; king-size grasshoppers. Would just mention that the kitchen facilities are very basic - 2 each of knives, forks, spoons, plates, bowls with 2 electric rings, and of course a large fridge - didn't bother us as we ate out but glad we took our kettle. Mimi's is even better than it looks and sounds in the brochure, we loved it and will definitely go back again.

Well what can I say but thank you Janelle and Spiros for a great holiday!I'm sure you are going to need the whole of the winter to get over the the Cypriot's visit!
This is a lovely place quiet, friendly, clean and a real home from home!
Mimis and Anastasia are the most wonderful people.
If you need any advise Janelle and Spiros are always there to help.

We had an fantastic two weeks at the Mimis Studios. Great location for getting away from it all. Highlights include: great Pool/bar/food, local tavernas, Porta Roma beach (for an evening swim), Gerakas beach (take the shortcut ;), during the day), quiz nights (2 weeks in a row, who'da thought it!), Shipwreck beach, turtle spotting, and much, much more.

WE ARE STAYING AT THE MIMIS APARTMENTS AND WE WOULD LIKE TO RENT A CAR COULD ANYONE WHO HAS STAYED THERE RECOMMENT A CAR RENTAL COMPANY.

We have just returned form a fantastic week at Mimiiiiiiii's, as the other comments state Janelle & Spiro are fine hosts. We would recommend hiring a scooter or car and visiting the local beaches, our favourite being Plaka which was small and very well kept. Could not have asked for more from the apartments, they were of an extremely high standard and very friendly. Both Kellie & I agree that we would go back without hesitation.

Just back from our fifth year on the run. Janelle, Spiros and family are the greatest - so helpful, friendly and accommodating - every year just gets better. I call it my little bit of paradise - and to quote the T shirt - it really is relaxing by day, fun by night. Going to Mimis is like going to our second home - can't wait until we are back again.

Three years in succession we've been and three of the most perfect,beautifull holidays we've had. You need to visit the Mimis and try and find a fault with it. The only way you will find one is if your name's Victor Meldrew. The Accomodation, Pool, Food, Location, its all perfect. We always mention the studios but it also has another special part. THE CALYPSO BAR, It has Greek Nights with amazing dancing and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere (you do not have to be a resident to go). I just love it there and i know that whoever goes will love it also. Roll on July 2004. I

I loved the mimis studios!!! They are in the perfect location and Spiros and Janelle treat you like long lost friends. i would reccomend the studios to everyone as it can provise something for everyone!!! (i love Janelles cooking/fish finger burger)! i hope to be visiting again sometime this year!

I am taking my mother on holiday to Porta Roma. As she has problems walking would I be able to take her wheelchair or should we leave it at home. Thanks.

mimis studios was fantastic spiro and janelle were very helpful about their local knowledge and in helpful hints and spiro even saved a hermit crab by giving me a lift to the beach to return this supossedly empty shell i'd found ...hopefully one day i'd be able to return and thank spiro and janelle for the most memorable experience of my life apart from meeting someone who lives 4 miles down the road hee hee hee obviously no class because the couple wasn't staying at the MIMIS studios!!!!

Returned yesterday having spent 2 brilliant weeks at Mimis. Spiros and Janelle couldn't do more for their guests. The cleanliness and service were second to none. Can't wait to go back.

JUST PERFECT. GREECE AS IT SHOULD BE. SPIROS AND JENELLE, MUM, DAD AND AUNTIE ARE THE BEST. PLEASE DO NOT EVER CHANGE A THING. WE WILL BE BACK FOR OUR 3RD VISIT NEXT YEAR.
