John A  (22 October 2006)

We stayed in Tsilivi from 17th sept to the 24th and went here twice, once for breakfast and then for dinner. The beef stifado was the best I've ever tasted. The breakfast was lovely as well! Service was good, and food was well priced ... would recommend!

Steve V  (15 October 2006)

All priase once again for Camelot, always good food and service and very good value for money.  Happy Birthday to Anna (18 on the 15th).  Have a good winter and we'll see you all again in June 2007.

B U  (02 October 2006)

"Hello sexy couple, i'm Kill Bill number 2 from Warrington" were the opening words which drew me and my girlfriend into the FABulous Camelot restaurant in Tsilivi. Yes, u heard me, Kill Bill No.2 (remeber the name) is the number 1 restaurant doorman in Tsilivi. His charm, wit and good looks were simply outstanding and i recommend anybody visitng Tsilivi to check out the TOP restaurant in Zante. The Moussaka was mouth watering and we ended our meal with Baklavas which was cooked to perfection. Kill Bill No.2 from Warrington, you are a LEGEND. Hope to see you in Warrington. From your biggest fan.

This place is great. The man at the door never caught his name. Just wanted to say HI its the girl that kept hi 5 'ing you i had blonde hair as my sister pointed out yes its dyed but you cant tell then the last night i came you kissed my hand and asked me how old i was like im 18 do i not look it we never came back because it was our last day dont think it ws because we didnt like it best place around i'd say the bbq chicken or sweet and sour is great dish for young girls that dont like a big meal its just the right size and you leave a bit so you dont seem greedy LOL. Ever fancy gettin in touch email me at sarahmighalls@yahoo.comTongue

Rob R  (20 September 2006)

Having been to Tsilivi with the family every year for the last 10 it is great to say that Camelot not only remember their past customers but also that the quality seems to improve - unlike some other restaurants whereby they are more like conveyor belts and the personal touch has been lost. Would suggest the 'Mammoth T-Bone with peppercorn sauce' for any steak lovers - tell Stavros the 'How Much' man from Newcastle suggested it!!

Elaine B  (09 September 2006)

Hi all at Camelot.  Keep up the good work 'Kill Bill II'.  We have just returned from our week in Tsilivi, we had a fantastic time and couldn't help but not go to Camelot - it's the best restaurant ever! The staff were so friendly and the food was amazing (especially the steaks). Thank you very much for our free ice cream and Camelot Mugs.  We hope to see you all again soon and remember to keep up the good work Bill.  Al the best  Take Care.

Carol R  (01 September 2006)

Hi Only visited here the once even though the guy outside tried to get us in again. We only had a week there but would go next year. Again the staff were friendly brought what we ordered the food was very good. I had lamb in the oven it was very tender. My partner had meatballs and chips and our daughter had a childrens meal pizza. Just so many excellent tavernas to try but we would go here again. Carol Michael & Heather

Mike   (01 September 2006)

Not sure why so many people liked this restaurant it was average, my daughter found two hairs in her meal and the other meals were ok but not great the customer service was average the waiters didn't smile a lot and we felt that the meals were rushed and they wanted to get us out as quick as possible.

Steve L  (25 August 2006)

Appreciate other good comments on this restaurant, but it must have been a bad day at Camelot when we visited. The meat pie was a slab which had obviously been microwaved. The veg was frozen. OK for a quick sit down meal. There are far better restaurants in Tsilivi than Camelot.

Paula P  (21 August 2006)

Hi all at Camelot...Stavros, Anna, Christina & Billy. Just returned from Tsilivi after another great holiday there. We have tried a fair few restaurants in Tsilivi, but nothing comes close to the service, food & hospitality which Camelot provides. It was nice that we were remembered from the previous year, and nice also that both Billy & Stavros said 'hello' to us around Tsilivi during the day when they were not on duty. Stavros gave myself & my husband several 'on the house' metaxas, which went down well!

Cheers you guys..we will be seeing you again soon,

Paula, Ian & Rebecca Poulter

Hello Mr Bill xxx

Steve V  (10 July 2006)

For quality, service and value Camelot delivers time and again.  Always a friendly welcome from the family as well as Bill out front.  Once you've been here you will be remembered.  On my first visit here this year, I was reminded of my last order from last October! Amazing.  Thanks to Anna, Stavros and the rest of the family, see you later in the year.

Angela L  (04 July 2006)

We visited Camelton every night but one on our holiday to Tsilivi in 2004 (we didn't go because we tried a restaurant that had been recommended - it was poor and the next night we returned to Camelot).  We are going back (first time we've ever returned to a resort twice) this Summer in August and we can't wait to visit the friendly staff in Camelot.  My husband is quite adventurous and tried many different things all of which he enjoyed.  I'm not, and I like chicken and chips with everything, which were cooked to perfection.  My 5 year old son also cleared his plate so they must be doing something right!  It was my husbands birthday whilst we were there and he received ice cream with sparklers etc much to his embarassment.  Every night they gave my little boy pens and paper to draw a picture which was then on display within the restaurant - nice touch.  The girls in the restaurant made a real fuss of my little boy which endeared them to us, they loved his spikey hair.

Sharon W  (08 June 2006)

Great food in here.  Bill is great – as ever!  We ate in here for my husband’s 40th Birthday in May and they treated him so well – in fact it was funny!  They gave him special ice-cream with sparklers and everything – they turned all the lights and music off and everyone sang to him!  Hilarious.  Staff are so friendly and if you eat there more than once, they remember you and look after you!   My husband like tons of garlic on everything - and they were really accommodating - he asked for it in most of the food he ordered and they always came up trumps.  I had lamb chops one day and unlike here in the UK where you get about 2 or 3 chops, I was served up with about 10!  Portion sizes were really good, and the quality of the food was great too.  Any request you have, they ALWAYS accommodate you

Steve V  (06 November 2005)

In previous years we seem to have passed this place by but having been remembered by Bill this year, we thought we ought to give it a try.  Had a very enjoyable evening in a very relaxed atmosphere.  Towards the end of the night I promised Anna we would try a breakfast there the next day...  As good as my word, we did...  We never ate breakfast anywhere else after that for the rest of our holiday, exceptional value compared to other places in the village and always a friendly welcome.

Emma G  (02 November 2005)

stavros and bill just a quick hi to you.

Lauren S  (30 October 2005)

Just got back from third visit in Zante and we have many friends there. Have known Bill for 2 years. Get a life everyone who keeps slagging him off!!!! He's a lovely bloke and very trustworthy if you can't tell when the Greek guys are just flirting for a bitta fun then stick to England. Annie and Lauren.

Jacqueline W  (22 September 2005)

Been to Tsilivi twice this year and we ate in the Camelot quite a lot, would recommend the lasagne. There is plenty of choice for kids to choose from. The staff are great and when my daughter celebrated her birthday in September they made a fuss over her, which she loved!

i just got back from zante about 3 weeks ago and i loved it. cant wait to go abck nxt year. camelot was one of the very best restaurants around zante. bill was very very shexeh and such a nice man. cant wait to go back and c him nxt year. all i can say to u peeps who r slaggin him off ish get a lyf. instead of slaggin him off behind his back, y didnt u have da nerve 2 say it 2 him face- where i hope he would of slagged u off back. this is the 1st time ive visited this site and will probably b da last, i just wanted to let evryone know that bill is kind and such a lovely man. he is not p**vy in any way and that i cant wait to c him agen.

Zoe P  (27 October 2004)

I neva ate a the camelot, but people did recommend it. What i want to say though is Bill is a nice guy, its his job to be friendly. Every night i'd go past his restaurant, and he'd talk to me, and he'd do this even if i wasn't going to eat there. Bill alogn with alot of the greek guys, talk to people in order to practise their english. Hes a good guy, so i think people should lay off him.

I will be sure to try the food at camelot when i return next summer.

Rachel B  (24 October 2004)

bill at the door was such a gentlemen we loved the place and it had such a good atmosphere bill is quite pushey but its his job so lay off him absolutely brill go there again

Rochelle W (24 October 2004)

Would someone please help me i am a very good friend of Bills while i went to see him in October i lost my mobile at Zante airport and did not realise until i got home so this now means i have no why of contacting bill which has made me very upset i would be very gratefull if someone could help.

Alison G  (19 October 2004)

My family and I arrived back from tsillivi on the 4 oct we ate at camelot everynight. I have worked in the hotel industry as hotel manager I think some people are realy unfair with the comments I have been reading WORKING IN THIS INDUSTRY IS HARD WORK YOU CANT PLEASE PEOPLE ALL THE TIME. While in Tsilivi I went for a drink with Bill I am married with two children ,He never tried anything he was in his glory just to sit and chat . He does not drink only the odd cig he is a nice guy I think maybe some people get confused with a nice guy as there are not many about or may be some people wanted the come on and didnt get. So what if he has slept with people thats his bussiness and I would not ask him about it .We keep in touch he will be a friend to all but as for a relationship go come on he cant give you girls that he just wants friends . So stop putting him down and also i have text all your comments to him he was very upset

Niamh D  (19 October 2004)

Had a great time and loved the food at Camelot. Looking forward to returning next year

Tamsin S  (19 October 2004)

Karen G  (01 September 2004)

Thank you for providing your details, I have now passed these to my solicitor. I have shown the apology to my wife.

Shazza   (01 September 2004)

Further to below, I would just like to apologise to anyone I have upset with my comments (including Bill).

I hope you all accept my apologies and all have great hols!!!! Tsilivi is the best - enjoy!

Shazza   (01 September 2004)

If anyone would like to contact me regarding any of my comments, please see my email address below - I am more than happy to apologise to you all personally:

Sharlee@o2.co.uk

Shazza   (01 September 2004)

Well that's up to you if you choose to take it further but I can only apologise publically on this website to both yourself and your wife for my extremely pathetic and childish remarks.

Please all accept my apologies and be sure that I will not be writing on this website again.

Karen G  (01 September 2004)

As for your extremely insulting comments about my wife regarding Bill, can I just say that I am now in contact with the company who maintains this website and my solicitor so that the appropriate action can be taken.

Shazza   (31 August 2004)

Sorry Natalie - I misread, thought you had been to Camelot! Well I'm glad you had a nice holiday anyway!

Shazza   (31 August 2004)

Thanks Natalie - that's what this website is for, people to voice their own opinions and not slag off that of others if they don't like what they write. I'm glad you had a nice time in Camelot and enjoyed your stay in Tsilivi.

I know (before you all start writing) I am just as bad replying to comments on here but if people must include my name in their comments when they don't agree with me then you can understand why.

Anyway I think these silly comments have gone on long enough now and I for one will not be adding anymore. I hope others will use this website in the correct way from now and let everyone have their own say without things getting out of hand.

I say again as I have said before - EVERYONE SHOULD TRY CAMELOT FOR THEMSELVES!! HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY, I'M SURE MANY OF YOU WILL.

Natalie G  (30 August 2004)

i can't believe how pathetic this is getting! i haven't even been in the restaurant but from the numerous people i met at my hotel and around tsilii during my stay who went to camelot, they all spoke highly of it(and bill) and enjoyed it! therefore im giving it some excellent marks because its completely unfair to get such a low rating just because some people dont like bill. he didn't strike me as any different to a lot of men in tsilivi. he was a p**v, but so were most guys i spoke to! id still chat to them to be polite, i don't like ignoring people. and that's all i can say for now!

Shazza   (29 August 2004)

TO MATE AND KAREN (LOVE) - TRY READING ALL MY COMMENTS BEFORE YOU START ON - SEE BELOW WHICH WAS PUT ON JULY 17TH!! YOU ARE ENTITLED TO LIKE BOTH BILL AND THE RESTAURANT, THE REST OF US ARE ALL ENTITLED TO NOT LIKE BOTH.

To anyone else reading this, please try this restaurant for yourselves. This is only an opinion page and I am sure that a lot of people will like both Bill and Camelot restaurant.

Karen G  (26 August 2004)

I'm sorry love but you really need to grow up and get on with your life.

Shazza   (23 August 2004)

This place finally has the rating it deserves in my opinion. Glad to see.

Jodi M  (23 August 2004)

we hav ate there a couple of times and billy is very friendly

Karen G  (20 August 2004)

We have just returned from 2 weeks at Tsilivi and our visits to Camelot totally enhanced the holiday. There isn't a single thing that we could call the place, service, food or prices for. My daughter felt like a little princess everytime we were there because of all the attention they paid her. They absolutely adore children. After every meal she got to draw and have her work displayed which made her feel very important. So much so that we bought them a load more felt tips as their collection was running dry. As for Bill, he is a complete gentleman. I take my hat off to somebody who can be as busy as he is at times yet still takes time to shake our hands and have a few words with Bethany. Well done to everyone there. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Natalie G  (18 August 2004)

I never went in the restaurant but I've met Bill a couple of times. He doesn't really seem much different to quite a few other waiters I encountered (some which were much worse actually asking me to go to bed!) I can't say it bothers me, i think it's quite funny and I think he's and ok guy!I know a few people from my hotel who went to the restaurant and they said it was nice.

Jerry C  (18 August 2004)

Have eaten at Camelot several times and found the place a very freindly and warm place to spend a few hours, Bill,Anneka,Anna Stavros, Christina and their Mum and Dad (Christo ?) and all the other guys work none stop. Had nothing but respect for myself, my wife and our two boys, they could not do enough. Our last night was like leaving old friends, everybody came out to say farewell.
Keep up the good work and hope to see you all soon.
Jerry, Debbie and the two boys (mates of Steve,Dee,Rosie and Danny)

Sarah   (01 August 2004)

i didnt go to eat at camelot once. when i was holiday i stayed in the st. dennis apartments and in order to go anywhere in town i had to pass camelot every night, and i dreaded it. that bloke at the door, bill, was horrible, he was completely p**vey and put me completely off the restaurant. i know it's his job to get people to go into the restaurant, but come on, no 17 year old wants to be lured at and chatted up to by some minger when your with a friend and your mum and dad! its completely embarassing! i cant comment on what the foods like there as i never tried it, but from what shazza has said in the past, i think i would want to be lest inpeace when i eat, not have someone loitering around.

Shazza   (30 July 2004)

Thanks Heidi for the warning, at least I know things haven't changed there and I know to avoid the restaurant like the plague!! Glad to see that someone else sees the same as me, obviously another person who goes to enjoy food and not be intimidated by sleazy waiters! I will be walking on the opposite side of the road when I go there.

Heidi   (29 July 2004)

I completely agree with Shazza, i have just returned from Tsilivi, and i found that the food was of very poor quality in Camelot and that 'Bill' to be a disgusting little man. The way he leered at young girls was disturing, and i unfortunately had to walk past the restaurant every night, and i hoped i wouldnt need to see him as i passed and that he was inside the restaurant. i would never go there again. it deserves lower than a 4/10.

Shazza   (17 July 2004)

That's great if you liked it in there - if you'd bothered to read any of my other comments properly you would see that I have put that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, some would like this restaurant and others wouldn't. These pages are great to get opinions of others I think, but obviously you are one of these people who can't stand others having any other opinion. Good for you if you got on with Bill too, I am sure he has many friends, but I am entitled to my opinion on him too!!

Anyway, as I said before, I spent one night in this restaurant and would not go back. I didn't spend any time with Bill outside the restaurant, as I'd had just about enough of him when I did go in there and also from walking past every night! Guess what - I can say he's selfish, all he spoke about was himself and that to me is selfish. With someone like that working there it's enough to put anyone off. Other restaurants have waiters that ask about you and your companion(s) and will speak about themselves a bit too. Also I am not a silly little English girl who will fall for his advances as some would, so for your information no I did not sleep with him (for a start he looks too hairy, do you want me to go on??).

To anyone else reading this, please try this restaurant for yourselves. This is only an opinion page and I am sure that a lot of people will like both Bill and Camelot restaurant.

Shazza   (15 July 2004)

For your information, the comments I made about Bill were based on when he was working in the restaurant or at the front of restaurant. I did see him around outside of work but the most I said to him was hello. I certainly didn't want to get into any conversation with him, he was bad enough in the restaurant. So, my comments are relevant for this 'business website' as you called it!!

Shazza   (13 July 2004)

I too have been to Zante (Tsilivi in particular) many times. In the restaurants I go to the waiters don't do this. They are friendly and interested in you as a person, not as the next person they are going to go to bed with! Anyway, people will find out for themselves when they go in there. Sites like this are excellent as you get varied comments, there will always be someone who loves the place and someone who hates it. I will always try places for myself anyway, even if all the comments are bad (unless the place when you arrive is empty and looks nasty).

As I said before, the restaurant is good for families and the staff are very good with children, as are most other restaurants.

Shazza   (13 July 2004)

This is a site about restaurants, I agree, but does the restaurant not include the staff then!!!!!????? I like to go out for a meal where the waiters/waitresses are friendly and don't make you feel uncomfortable. He hovers around any table like a puppy where there are women and no men! If you enjoy that kind of attention then that's fine, but I don't. We are all allowed to voice our opinions and if you don't like it then don't come on to this site!! Simple!!

Shazza   (11 July 2004)

All I can say is I can well believe all I hear about Bill. Definitely a ladies man - he's full of sh** and a very selfish person. I didn't believe a word that came out of his mouth, I love you etc. Please!! He is just after you for one thing, as are a lot of the other men on the island. Having said that though I have made a few good male friends out there that are just that - friends and they want nothing else. I can't believe that people believe these men will want them and them only - as soon as you are on the plane home they will be with someone else!! Enjoy the times you have with them when you are there and accept it as a holiday romance.

Also have to say I ate in the restaurant once and would not go back again - food is ok but prices expensive. They are very good with children though so if you are a family then this is a good place to go for that. If you want an excellent meal with excellent service and good prices then go to Koukos up the road - it will be the first place I visit when I go there.

Ian W  (02 July 2004)

Loved this one, food was superb, the man with the bell was my partners favourite man in Greece and I especially liked how the staff involved the kids, our daughter drew a picture (paper and crayons provided by the staff) of our visit which was immediately stuck on the door, lovely atmosphere and an equally lovely welcome.

Martin C  (30 June 2004)

this guy sounds like a right cheating b*****d, mind you albanians see! full of s**t anyway, nick the boats from corfu? remind me not to take my wife here for food the dump

Friend F  (30 June 2004)

yes it was he told me not to come before the 21st as he was going to go home to albania if he could, he has sent me a lovely text just told me what he thinks of me fine he doesnot like to be found out i feel sorry for the girl that text him when i was there she missed him and loves him and i have seen the names on his phone dont get hurt here i did and it has cost me a lot and yes i did get divorced for him ok#

Lyn G  (18 June 2004)

we have just come back from tsilivi we tried camelot for the first time the food was ok nothing special but very exspensive

Jennifer N  (01 June 2004)

I totally agree with the previous comment! We walked past the Camelot every night for the very reason - the guy at the entrance harasses every tourist who walks past - "hello, you want a romantic table?" etc etc...walk on up the road to somewhere much better.

Gary E  (25 May 2004)

the guy on the door is a pain in the a**e but not as bad as some others, it was the most expensive meal we had.

Amy   (17 May 2004)

The food was nice, but it was way too expensive! Our (2 course) meal came to €40 for 3 of us, where in other restaurants it came to much less. We looked at the menu, saw the prices and were shocked.. but we couldn't exactly walk out!

Kerry W  (27 October 2003)

had a fantastic meal here. i had chicken smothered in a creamy sauce and sally had pasta with cheese. compliments to the chef! alfredo and stavros were both very attentive and smiled constantly! and bill at front of house was very entertaining when we passed each night of our 2 week holiday. will definately return xx

Kev J  (21 October 2003)

THE FOOD IS GREAT AND GOOD PRICES

Angie H  (24 September 2003)

We had the special here it was ok but no more. Other people we met loved it though.

Stephanie P  (24 September 2003)

We ate once in this restaurant. The people serving were nice, as well as the food. I recommend yemista (stuffed tomatoes with rice), one of the only plate which is not served with french fries...

Chiara F  (07 September 2003)

My friend and I ate twice here, and we can tell that food and prices are very good, but above all we remember the service, especially a waiter (Alfredo), because he was very nice and zeal. And also the waiter who welcomed the customers at the "door" because he was really really etrovert and nice.

Peter N  (02 August 2003)

How can somebody pass comment and say a place, food and prices are average if they haven't even gone in? Doh!
We thought Camelot was very good and ate there twice. Waiter was quick to provide pens and paper to keep children amused - and their efforts were posted on the wall with many others. Food was good, service prompt and the Mythos nice and cold!

Gary E  (22 July 2003)

We was going to go in but the guy on the door is a pain and dont let you walk past without bugging you.

Dawny-bop   (24 June 2003)

YUMMO! The Food here was great! The Best Scampi...

Christine V  (23 June 2003)

We ate at the Camelot last year and enjoyed it so much we returned this year!!
The service is lovely and Stavros and his sister make you feel very welcome.
I recommend the English Breakfasts, Steak Pie, and Prawns!!!! There are many more dishes which are all quality and cheap.

Josey W  (14 June 2003)

We ate here twice, and it has to be good for me to return as I'm REALLY fusy!! The chap on the door is a little annoying when you pass him in the street a few times and invites you in for his specials every time but if you spare a little time he's such a nice guy, and remember, it is his job after all. There was a really good choice on the menu and it was one of the cheapest places I ate during my holiday.

Kay M  (22 September 2002)

Good food and friendly staff, especially the guy who welcomed customers at the'door'
