The Cats Whiskers

Restaurants in Tsilivi

Richard C  (21 July 2001)

If chips and curry is your thing, then this is the one for you! Not much of a Greek selection. I ended up having Thai Green Curry..... If your missing home then go here

Louisa P  (16 July 2001)

We ate here at the beginning of our holiday with preconceived ideas of what to expect due to reading certain comments posted on this site. After visiting once,we revisited 4 times. IT WAS BRILL! the price of the food overall in Tsilivi is CHEAP! WOW! for example, a starter between us,a main meal each, two drinks each(and not having to pay for the bread as in some other retaurants!)an average meal each came to about £6-£7 something probably! Girls mainly that work there look as though they're working there throughout the summer(we went 1st July 2001)They're very friendly. Any delays in bringing of food/bills that might occur(though there aren't many)are usually due to the fact that the restaurant is so busy.Lots of cats around (hence the name!!) but are lovely and despite looking undernourished, don't tend to bother you anymore than anywhere else, they're lovely!)If we returned we would certainly eat here again. well the food is excellent not like all the other s**t. the prices are good but the servise poor but because im a big eater i recomendet.

Pauline B  (07 July 2001)

food was very good the first time we ate here, the second time i had crispy duck it was was niot what i expected

Lisa E  (03 July 2001)

Probably the worst restaurant in Tsilivi, food below par, food not reasonable compared to the other Restaurants, and service poor, we had to ask four times for the bill and was then given the wrong one...give it a miss

Cheryl   (25 June 2001)

We found this place to be the best restaruant not only in Tsilivi, but mainly in the whole of Zante. It's a tiny bit more expensive (even though it's still cheap compared to UK prices) because the food is such good quality. Just ask anyone when you get there, everyone recommends it.

Jane   (10 June 2001)

The service and food was good but at times it seemed like they wanted you in and out as quickly as possible.

Chris G  (06 June 2001)

Couldn't see the appeal of this place. If you're homesick you'll love it. Too "English" for its own good, even down to the staff. Not cheap either. There's far better in Tsilivi that at least do authentic Greek dishes.

Pat   (06 June 2001)

Have these people never eaten anywhere else? This is the worst food we've ever had to pay for. Food was reheated and processed. Typical bad english pub grub. Sat at the front, strong smell of sewerage as main drain is at front of restaurant. The Cats Whiskers is certainly not the Dogs B******s!!!

Pete R  (03 June 2001)

I thought this place was very Watford Gap type average, I know that sounds like a Michael Winner comment. But if your pining for good old Blighty and as my Ma would say "I'm not eating that foreign muck" this is the place for you.

Ian G  (02 June 2001)

Good service (English waitresses on summer jobs), good food, especially the desserts. Recommended.

Robert C  (30 May 2001)

Mostly English type food but they do good steak which makes a nice change in Greece.Service can be slow when they are busy.

Steve F  (28 May 2001)

Gave food excellent as what we had was so but you might find choice limited if you are looking for Greek but no problem if looking for other dishes.

Wayne   (26 May 2001)

the food was good ,the girls who worked there were very friendly and talkative, well worth a visit if you are in the resort.never ate a main meal there but the english breakfasts were excellent, full fry up with all the trimmings drinks and toast around £2.50p....toilets very clean and the seating was comfy.

Liz   (22 May 2001)

I quite agree with the comment below! Who wants to go abroad on hols and spend all their time trying to find the most English restaurants and bars!! Sad or what?!

Tsillivi S  (19 May 2001)

this is the place to go if you like English food, they do roast beef and Yorkshire puds but why pay all that money to come to Greece and eat stuff from back home. Try the "family" restaurant, it's much better and GREEK!!!!!

Geoff D  (17 May 2001)

food is just about the best you can get in tsilivi

Alison S  (06 April 2001)

you will not be disappointed! I promise.

Meirion J  (16 March 2001)

The best food in Tsilivi. Never had a bad one.

Sally H  (12 February 2001)

One of the best places to eat, good value for money, Spiros and Liz are a great couple so are all the girls who work there, the 'puds' are quite amazing.

Nancy W  (19 January 2001)
