 The food was fantastic!!! The prices were good, and the service was absolutely outstanding... especially the sexy christos!!    Would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an all round great meal.

The stars restaurant is the best , we have visited 3 times to argassi and the food here is brilliant .Most of the greeks eat here as it is well known for good food and a friendly Atmosphere.Dennis collects the money in the back Andreas with curly hair is charming and Nikos the Big is a perfect Gentleman.Nikos the beard works for the Government andis brill and is useful for ex pats and their Pensions, Nikos the Young with Pony Tail thinks he is a greek sex god and is great fun, Christos the front man is charming and always spends time having a chat making our holiday fabulous .They will not get their hands on Olly the Octopus which i found snorkelling at porto Zorro azzuro beach.The greek food here is brilliant ,try Stiffado ,Kleftico,Chilli spaghetti or just ask for what you want they will always try and accomodate.We will definately go back ,they are good Guys.

Very nice breakfast. Had evening meal once too, was good. Friends I met on holiday loved it here though. Very busy most nights.

We have been coming to this restaurant for the past 12 years and have met many friends here old and new, each time we come back we always receive a tremendous welcome.  The food was as delicious this year as always, try Steak Diane, Pepper Chicken, Chicken Souvlaki and of course the Sword Fish, wash this all down with a bottle of Solomus (or 2) Rose of course!  Thanks to Andreas, Cristos, Nikos and the rest of the staff, we had a wonderful time as always.

Excellent food and service every night for three weeks, the best value for money too. Souvalaki was just great, came with salad, dip, and pitta bread, our favorite wine Solomos, medium dry, or rose. Thanks for helping with Barbara's birthday night, flowers from the garden  too. Looked after us every night, waiters were all great, love to all at Stars. Jon and Barbara

we ate here once on our holiday and we wouldnt go back!! the restaurant itself seemed nice enough and it always seemed busy i dont know why!! we ordered two pizzas and they were the worst pizzas we had ever had!! and also it seemed like someone had poured a bucket of salt on the pizza before giving it to us. anyway we couldnt eat it and got a refund the staff were ok about it but it really is the worst restaurant in argassi

This place was heaving when we arrived and we had to wait for seats (although its pretty big), so we were expecting something fantastic. The food was ok - definitely plenty of it - but nothing amazing. The service was good and the waiters were very friendly, worth a visit.

Was told by one of the reps that this was one of the best restuarants but it was really just OK.  Between us we ordered garlic prawns, garlic mushrooms and steak with garlic and herb sauce and the garlic sauce on all 3 occasions was like gravy with loads of garlic in.  And the steak was simply topped with garlic mushrooms and the mushrooms were all tinned.

Have eaten at Stars on a previous visit to Argasi and was impressed.  This time, we didn't make it for a full meal, but they do a cracking bacon toastie for breakfast!  Give 'em a try.  8/10

Not the best experience on either of the two occasions we ate there. Fairly limited menu when compared to some of the other restaurants around Argassi, and little use at all to a vegetarian. Quite amusing to be served by Peter Kay though!

Wij zijn nu voor de vijfde keer met vakantie in Argassie en uiteraard gaan wij altijd bij STARS eten. De eerste dag is altijd weer een thuiskomst zoals je ontvangen wordt doorAndreas,Dennis,Christos,Nicos en Tassia.Daarom gaan wij nergens anders eten, het eten is goed en de porties zijn erg groot en de prijzen laag. Wij vinden dat andere restaurants niet kunnen tippen aan STARS.Na een verblijf van 2 weken viel het afscheid niet mee.Wij hebben met Christos een afspraak gemaakt hij weet wel wat dit inhoudt.

What a FANTASTIC time at STARS, Food great, and the Family who own it were the best!!! NO WONDER the Locals themselves eat at stars as this resturant has been up and running longer than the Island has been a holiday resort for us.

AVOID!!!!!!!!! it's more like a zoo (full of mice) than a restaurant.the worst food i've ever eaten.they should close this place before someone dies

One of the best places to eat good food,wine&service.Friendly staff always helpful.One of only two restaurants where I ever eat in Argassi,being going to Zante for over 20years.Bravo to all the family & staff ,see you all again soon.Regards Bobbies & Audrey  

This is the first, the last,my everything - it is a great restaurant. The owners are brilliant folk - hi to Andreas, Nicos, Dennis & Tassia.

If you like school dinners or hospital food that you will love stars as that is about the quality of the food served-YUK! The waiter at the entrance was nice enough but once inside the service is terrible!I got better service at Gatwicks McDonalds!

We were there same time as Iain Kay and ate in Stars most nights, not once did we have cause to complain about anything. Food, service and the friendliness of the staff was excellent couldn't be faulted.

We ate at Stars twice during our holiday and found it extremely good on both occassions, the pork and chicken souvlakis were excellent as well as the mixed grills. Definiately worth a visit.

The worst meal on our holiday. My boyfriend and i decided to go for the sunday lunch, it was awful full of herbs and spices. Granted we weren't expecting it too be like it is at home but that wasn't at all enjoyable. The restaurnt was very busy the night that we went so that could be an excuse for the poor service too

having checked this site before we tried stars it was by far the worst meal we had in our fortnight there.we asked for steak which was
cooked until it was tough as a badgers a**e & served with soggy frozen chips,no veg, & smothered in bbq sauce straight out a jar.if you like well prepared properly cooked food don't go here. try edem

Wij zijn in mei/juni weer in argassi geweest en uiteraard al die dagen bij STARS wezen eten. Om te beginnen vinden wij STARS het beste restaurant wat er is.Het personeel is uitermate vriendelijk en behulpzaam en niet aggrefsief zoals bij andere restaurants. Wij nemen ook ons petje af voor Christos wat een berg werk verzet die jongen. Wij worden als familie beschouwd.Volgend jaar gaan we weer terug naar argassie en uiteraard weer naar STARS.Het is en blijft een aanrader.

The food is the best on Zante!! Exellent service and very smiling persons! See you next year Dennis and Andreas! Yasso fillie mou!!!

We tried Stars on our first night in Zante. The service, food and price were all good. We had mousakka (have had better), pizza (very nice) and the chicken kebabs (these were lovely). We would go back

The first time we went to Stars we had a lovely meal, I mentioned to the staff that my daughter was going to be 6 in a few days time, the waiter asked for me to write down her name and said if we returned on her birthday they would organise a cake. We did return on her birthday, they had reserved a table with flowers, unfortunatly we had already been seated somewhere else and served our starter by the time the waiter realised it was us and I hadnt realised the reserved table was for us. After our meal the lights were turned off and "happy birthday" music was played, they brought out a very big birthday cake with disney princess's and sparklers it really made my daughters day. They didnt charge us anything for the cake. Would highly recommend Stars to anyone going to Argassi.

We ate here on a recommendation from staff at our hotel, maybe we were just unlucky but the service was really slow, it WAS particularly busy when we were there but we waited over an hour for our food and when it came it wasn't very well presented. I had moussaka and it tasted like a frozen meal from Asda, it was served with shredded lettuce and chips so no thought had gone into the presentation.They tried to redeem themselves by giving us a fresh fruit salad on the house which was lovely but didn't make up for a disapointing meal

I would like to thank all the staff at "Stars" for their kindness and helpfullness towards us, thank you all for your kind service.
We ate their almost every night and tried lots of different things the Gammon steak was very good. What can I say, just a nice place to eat. The prices are very good,I had meals off the board most nights, very good value for money.

Chicken Souvlaki best on the Island ask my mate she had the Souvlaki most nights. The staff are really friendly and made us feel like one of the family, we sat for hours in there talking and laughing with them. Don't know why people moan about slow service, you are in Greece for God's sake enjoy the relaxation. Thank you Andreas, Cristos, Denis, Denise and co. for making our stay so fantastic and Andreas is definitely the "Host with the Most".

One of our favourites - Food was great and prices are reasonable.

TIP: If you ask Lucas at Jungle bar for advice on best place to eat, he will give you a card and recommend Stars - worth doing as you get a free drink !

We enjoyed 2 dinners here and the only negative thing I could say is the guy out front used to keep teasing my 4 yr-old and cooing over how lovely she is. My 14 yr-old daughters thought he was fit though.
Lady with the glasses was lovely though, and food was nice better than some places we ate.

Our food was undercooked but were quick to replace it. Im not quite sure what the big deal about the place was, it seemed to be on a really noisy part of the road.

after hearing from other guests at our hotel we decided to give this restuarant a try. it was our last night and it was the worst meal we'd had in the 2 weeks. the service was very slow but they were friendly. we were put off with the food first of all when we saw into the kitchen and saw the chef smoking and had a bottle of beer in his hand!!!!! when the meals came we were very dissapointed i ate one bite of mine and left it. not very impressed

stars was a good resturant located on the main street in Argassi.the food is excellent and the service wasn't bad either.

After reading all the comments about this place i was expecting the food to be lovely, my boyfried didn't like his meal at all and mine was ok, i was quite disapointed with this place!!

Stars: I think the taverna is very good we had good sized meals, at a reasonable price the boys worked hard & yes I would certainly go again

We saw a sign advertising this as "the best restaurant in town" or something along those lines. We would easily say it was the worst place we ate. Surprised about comments of being rushed, although most people had been served when we sat down it took over 30 minutes for our "food" to arrive and then only after we chased the waiter. When it arrived it was not good, I ordered squid which was obviously from a bag and also burnt. Portions are large is the only good thing I can say. It took a further 30 minutes and two requests before the bill came and it was not reasonable in my opinion for what we ate. To me this was a typical "Brits abroad" restaurant, chips with just about everything and large portions. If you want more authentic food there are plenty of other nicer and cheaper locations.

I agree that they are very friendly when getting you in. Once inside they try to rush you. Daytime was better for service. My partner had roast chicken which came with potatoes in a garlic sauce, this was really nice.It was just a bit off putting when they were rushing me into choosing my meal.

These guys were very good at being polite to get you in off the street, but food was average, service not great and price not the cheapest. We only ate here once.

i loved this place!!! it's great food (especially the musaka!!) i recommend this place to ANYONE!!!! i just love it! i really want to go again! just go and you'll all know wot i mean!

Not what you want with a hangover, but evenings were quality.Lovely grub, if you go for the authentic stuff, apart from the taramasolata...looked suspiciously like blamange!!..lovely team of waiters overall grand place

We were here in early July and it was brilliant, the food was great and the service was very good. A big thank-you to Andreas,Nico, Denis & Tassia. Look out for Placido Domingo & Graeme Souness who regularly pop in here.

The best service ever the staff work very hard because its always busy. If you like mixed grill i definitely recommend Stars its worth the money and you get plenty! Just cant wait to visit again.

Fantastic food moussaka and steak with barbacue sauce especially. as seen in a previous comment i have to say you do not get charged every time your table is visited we certainly weren't. We had free jug of wine every visit because we had travelled with libra hols. also when ever we had a wait for food due to how busy they were we had fruit salad delivered to our table at end of meal free of charge. Exellent

I am heading back to Argassi in just over a week for the first of two visits this year. This time around it's without the kids. We will be heading for the Stars restaurant and look forward to seeing Andreas & Tasia and the guys.The food is consistently good here. One other thing that makes a difference, especially off-season is that they can pull down the shutters when it gets windy or on the very rare occasion that it rains.

We have been going to Stars Restaurant for many years and think it is brilliant. The food is excellent, a very large variety, and the staff are very, very friendly - we feel like family.

We have been eating at Stars for 14 years and are treated as part of the family. Andreas, Nicos, Dennis and Tasia always make one welcome and it is a true Greek experience.

BRILLIANT WE WENT TO THIS PLACE NEARLY EVERY NIGHT. THE FOOD WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD. THE BEST MEALS WERE CHICKEN HAWIAI,BEEF STEAK A LA CREME AND KLEFTICO. THE WAITERS WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND WOULD ALWAYS HAVE A JOKE WITH YOU BT THE TIME WE LEFT THEY KNEW OUR FAVORITE TABLE AND WHAT WE WANTED TO DRINK. WILL EAT THERE AGAIN WHEN WE GO AGAIN NEXT YEAR.

I have been eating at the Stars since 1985 and I have no idea what the previous person is referring to when he says they "charge you every time they visit your table". It has now become a victim of it's own success in that because it is so popular it's very busy in high season. This is the reason why he may have experienced a delay. However I see this comment about all Greek restaurants and I am always puzzled. In general most of us go to Greece to chill out and watch the world go by. If you have ever watched Greek families eating out, you will see that they are in no rush, so you know how the old saying goes "When in Zakynthos.....
