Zakfari Jeep Safari

Zante Excursions

Ann-marie A  (18 October 2005)

Hi there

We went on Zakfari on "Girlie Giggles" day (Thursday 13 October 2005). Paul (the boss!) was our driver and we had an absolutely excellent day. I didn't tell Paul, but I have an intense fear of drops (cliff tops and so forth) and the whole day was a bit of a test for me. I am pleased to say that Paul didn't take it too far, I felt safe all day and got some amazing photos, despite the day being fairly overcast. I would advise anyone going to Zante to go on this trip- and incase you are worried, we had a 5 year old on our jeep who loved every second and there was a couple in their 70s on one of the other jeeps.

Thanks to all who helped to make it a really excellent day.

Absolutely the most awsome thing we did while in Zakynthos! Our driver, Julian, while being an absolute nutter, was the best tour guide you could ask for! Beware though, this is no cushy tour around the island, Julian is an ex-rally care race driver, and will glady display all of his terrific skills. So, if you don't want to get a little shaken up (one guy actually split his pants he was having so much fun!), try going on the coach, but if you REALLY want to have a blast, book with Julian.

Cheers mate,

My fiance and i really enjoyed the Safari - its a brilliant day out and ALL of the drivers/hosts are really friendly and easy to talk to!! They also take photos at some of the different stops which is a really nice touch and makes the memories extra special and the photos look great...especially the one at smuggles cove! Wouldnt change a thing about this day trip - definitly worth it and a must.

Susan B  (13 October 2005)

This was the best trip going! We had such fun, and the best bits were the real off roud bits when you went to the highest points of the island! Fantastic views, some of the stories............Mmmmmmm..........Simon was our host and we had a great time. Recommed this to anyone! Picture was of the little beach we visited last which had a cave which made the water minus 1!! Great trip, would do this trip again!

Octopus Trip -

What can I say- a great trip - you get to see parts of the island so many others won't - you get a great laugh with the other crews - you get to hear all those true stories......ok - that bit was a fib but for those who have been on the trip you'll know what I mean!

Paul was our driver - good laugh, good knowledge, good stories, history, prompt timing and managed to follow the only cloud on Zante all day....which I suppose was lucky as the drop of rain stopped the dust on the off road sections....of which there were plenty.

Definitely a trip for the adventure minded - strap yourself in, get sat comfortable (or as comfortable as you can in a landrover), buckle up and enjoy a fantastic day out - with views of the island you can only get on such a trip. the highest point of the island being particularly spectacular! Also covers all the main attractions - smugglers cove etc - you won't be disappointed!

Plenty to see and remember - thoroughly enjoyable day out. Picture above of the "cheeses" thought it came out pretty well against the sun.

Paul - thanks for a great trip (and those on the jeep too) - and spotting the Octopus - fair play, not something you see everyday! Guess you'll be adding that to the marketing....turtle spotting....and NOW Octopus!

Cheers
Phil & Mary

I came bk from Zante 2 days ago and we went on the Jeep safari.  I would definately recommend it to anyone who is going on a day trip out.  You get to see all of the island and its much better than going by boach.  You don't get bored!  We were lucky enough to have Julian as our driver as he took us over a couple of jumps which the other driver of the other Jeep wouldn't do!  It's definately worth it's money.  Don't forget to take a towel and don't wear nice clothes they will get filthy dirty! Also wear comfortable shoes!!

Nick H  (27 September 2005)

 Major Hewet trip.

Thanks Zakfari for a great day out. It was a very enjoyable way to learn about the Islands history and famous sites. Some of the stories may have even been true ????????

Thanks again.

Nick.

Have just come back from 2 weeks in Zante and can definitely recommend the Zakfari trip for anyone who wants to get out and about and see the whole island, have a fun day out, get some fresh air and doesn't mind a few bumps as you go off road - far better than sitting on a coach all day.  You spend the day with a small group of people, get some of the best views of the island and are entertained by the guide's 'fantastic' stories and 'magic herbs'!!  Definitely worth the money.

Also, make sure you take your swim stuff because the day will usually end with swim in the sea - but be warned - the sea is freezing and smells like egg sandwiches but is great for your skin!

I am just writing to say that the best thing about our holiday to Greece was the zakfari. Peter was our driver and he made the trip very interesting with his knowledge of the island and surrounding area. We were out all day and never got bored once. If you only do one trip do this one as Pauls stories will make you laugh (were they fact or fiction). Go on this trip and make your own mind up. It was also the only trip that we got to see the famous turtle

It is just a shame that all other trips arent as value for money. The olympia trip is a big let down unless you plan to not see much of the ruins and go shopping with the tour guide to get discount gold jewellery. Anyway back to the zakfari, I got so many good photo's from this trip and we were glad we done it as to see the shipwreck from above was super even though i dont like heights, this was even more important as the day we went to sugglers cove it was to rough to beach so had to take pictures from afar. Anyway This is a big thank you from a couple from sunny Plymouth who came here for our honeymoon four years ago and came back this August 2005.

Paul L  (25 September 2005)

What a great day out, the highlight of our visit to the island. Our driver Peter certainly knows how to get the best out of the Landy and Paul (Biggles ) the guide will keep you entertained with his yarns. To say it will appeal to all ages is an understatement, we took out three kids, 5, 7 and 13 and they all loved it.  If you get a chance or if offered the opportunity, ride up-front with the driver, you get a great view and really appreciate how hard these guys are working to negotiate the 'roads' up and over the most difficult terrain.

I would agree with others here who have posted responces, make sure you take a TOWEL and SENSIBLE SHOES as the rocks are very un-forgiving. Do take every oppotunity while on the tour to taste this and smell that, its all part of the fun.

I can only say, if you only do one excursion while away, make it this one, you get what you pay for - Brilliant!

Alison L  (21 September 2005)

Anybody who is going to Zante absolutely must go on the Zakfari. I went on September 9th 2005 and had a great time. The weather was lovely throughout and Paul our guide was very knowledgable and extremly funny with it. The off road driving throws you about a bit, but it’s all part of the fun. You get to see so much of the island you wouldn't normally be able to get to and even go for a swim on a secluded beach at the end. Our convoy were named the "Rare Second Cave" lot as some of us swam out to see the Devils Mouth Cave and then went on to go into the second cave which was freezing cold but quite amazing, it had to be my bravest and favourite part of the day. I would highly recommend this trip to people, you get to know everybody else who's on the trip with you and all have a fab time. Great Fun! Alison from Saffron Walden.

click to enlargeclick to enlarge "Stiff Upper Lip" Day. 15/09/05 AKA "Grey Thursday"

We got wet.............
We nearly froze to death at the highest point of the island.....................
We had a fire lit in the taverna for lunch to help us all thaw out. We hugged the Land Rover bonnets to keep warm.
And then we drank this green pissi stuff and the rest of the day was amazing!
We had an absolutley amazing day and whatever the weather, this has to be the best way to see the island away from the tourist areas.
Paul's knowledge of Zakynthos is astounding and he's got a great sense of humour and he'll hug your wife if she gets too cold!
Anyone who does this trip should buy a couple of bottles of wine from the guys in the village - it really doesn't give you a hang over! And the olives are fab too!
A great adventure with a great bunch of people!

WHAT A GREAT DAY OUT!!! Simon, our guide and Spiros, the expert driver, were brilliant!! Of all the excursions offered when you arrive you must go on this one! We will go again when we return. Thanks again for a great time lads!  Cathy and Malcolm Askew

Susan H  (19 September 2005)

Our day on the jeep safari was a fantastic day. As i'm sure Jason will remember, I was the one screaming in the back and holding on for dear life!!!! We were there mid august. There were six in our jeep (Steve, Karen, Peter, Susan the Irish ones who kept us laughing and myself Sue and my daughter Nichola, who had the most amazing time.)The scenery was absolutely breathtaking and the swimming was amazing.Full compliments to our guides Jason and Julian. We have never laughed so much as we did that day. The thrill of the drive was awesome and we would definitely do it again.

Thanks to the lads for making the holiday memorable.

Hi to all you guys at Zakfari! We "cruised" with you about 2weeks ago and i can honestly say ive never had such craic in all my life!! Don't know if you remember us Tim (we were the six mad irish armed to the teeth with water pistols and about 200 litres of Greece's finest bottled water) but I'm sure George Clooney will remember us! Thanks for a great day out lads , anyone visiting this island has to check out this trip - the guys are great craic and its the best way to see the island....plus that swim stop was amazing - see you guys next year best of luck with the business!

Andrea W  (12 September 2005)

Zakfari was the highlight of our holiday!  We went on "topless card playing day" last Thursday and really enjoyed the trip.  A great way to see the sights of the island and hear myths and legends along the way.  Simon was our guide and was witty and informative.

Larry was our driver and all I can say is thank goodness for the seatbelts of I think we could've lost a couple of people out the back

Thanks guys for a great day!!!

The L  (11 September 2005)

Paul and his team are marvellous they really know how to give you a good day out.  Make sure you take swimming kit and towels and don't wear flip-flops as the terrain at the shipwreck does not make walking in them easy.  Sit near the front or you feel the bumps a lot.
Thanks for a lovely day guys and remember if you need a video doing I have a technical child who would love to do it for you!

I really recommend doing this safari at the start of your holiday to get a true picutre of the island of Zakynthos.  We were fortunate enough to have Paul,  the owner of the company as our Guide. Despite his many year of running safari's he still injected enthusiasm, humour and great story telling to the day.  However, I would recommend that the reps tell holidaymakers to wear suitable footwear and to warn people that there is quite a bit of walking which for some could have proved difficult.  It would be also good if they told you to take a towel as we didn't - however we were able to purchase a new one from the market stall we stopped at. However despite my flip flops, I managed to scramble rough terrain to see some spectacluar views that I would never have seen otherwise - well worth it and I managed to get brilliant photos.  We did get some funny looks when we returned to the hotel due to the stench coming from us after dipping in the sulphur springs (I was also covered in blue fluff from my new towel)  Great experience though and Paul's extra beauty treatment tip of exfoliating with the sand left us all smooth skinned and refreshed after a brilliant day!

Thank you Paul and good luck with everything in the future! And I hope you manage to get that old Greek woman to finally say "he's not coming out - he's been a very naughty boy" - would love to be there to hear it!  I would have rated Comfort as Excellent if only you would take your good wife's advice and buy some cold boxes   Final word - if you do one excursion on your holiday DO THIS ONE!!!!

"Non- Elephant Day"

This was one of the best excursions we have ever been on. Our guide Simon delivered lots of great info about the island, including all the folklore and legends,  but did so in a thoroughly entertaining way.
Our driver Spyros was a great laugh, and his superb driving skills managed to take us all around the island, down the tiniest, and up the steepest, roads (if u can call them that!!).
I recommend this to everyone and anyone, it was great.
Thansk to all at Zakfari for a great day!!

Johanne D  (02 September 2005)

I would definately recommend this trip.  We went on 'Stone Throwers Day' (12th August) and loved it.  We got to see lots of the island that we wouldn't of seen otherwise. My son Joseph (12) was keen to go 'off road' and certainly enjoyed the rough ride up to the top of the island.  The food at the lunchtime taverna was basic but okay.  The walk along the cliffs to view the shipwreck was lovely although my nerves got the better of me looking over the edge!  The island we went to to look for turtles (we saw one by the way) was beautiful, I could have stayed there all day.  If you decide to swim in the little bay at the end of the trip, take Simons advice and remove any silver jewellery - mine was completely black when I came out of the sea after only 20 minutes.  Our driver Peter was great and knew loads of interesting things about Zante.

Paul T  (29 August 2005)

we had a great day out ! thoroughly exciting, we even spotted a turtle in the bay.  It was the best trip we went on by a mile, the driver ( the guy from neighbours ) was great. Only downside was the choice of taverna they took us to for lunch food was very poor but dont let that put you off going really is a great day out, but be prepared to be shaken and not stirred when your off road in the rovers .

Richard T  (25 August 2005)

Lydia's Last Day

Superb day out, I would recommend it to anyone visiting Zante. The staff were really helpful and friendly and Paul had loads of info to tell you about the island (he may have made it all up though).
I only wish I had won Lydia's quiz on our jeep to win a hair band.

HI all at zakfari nice to talk to you again!! had an amazing yawning day( as i was the yawning child) had a fantastic time and a very good understanding of kouris arguement at smugglers cove(M*****!!! - yeah right)  the off-road driving was brilliant as my family were bounced and jiggled in thier seats whereas i was fine because i sat next to the star of neighbours, larry, in the front seat!! views were outstanding and the commentry was Fantastic simon - you can tell you are an expert!  when kouris landrover broke down we had the very exciting game of eye spy!!  Overall a very good day out and highly recommended to all that are to visit in the future!!!

"Dog Chase Day" - An excellent and fun day exploring the island and avoiding the crowds. Simon - our guide delivering information and tall stories while Coulis X the driver safely navigating the off road tracks even when chased by goat protecting dogs!! A "not to be missed" experience.

Lydia's last day

I went with my mum and daughter and had a fantastic time and would recommend to everyone to take this trip it is worth the money. The drivers were very helpful and made sure everyone was having fun. My daughter took ill at the beginning of the trip and throughout the whole day, but our guides were fantastic and very helpful making sure everything was ok, i would like to take this oportunity to thank you all very much especially our driver Peter.

A great day out, a chance to see bits of the island we could not get to by car. The drivers knew there stuff and the comical accounts of the history and myths on the island was worth the trip alone. Our two kids enjoyed it, best bit of the holiday they said. Still haven't decided if the water in the well story is true, but it was funny. Could not make out the Elephant's though!

We had a fantastic time on Stone Throwers Day. Our driver Pete and guide Simon were very knowlegable and entertaining. The views were breathtaking and this has got to be the only way we would have been able to see them. The water from the wells was much appreciated as long as you didn't take too seriously Simons account of what was also down the wells. Definitely the highlight of our holiday and would recommend anybody to give it a go.

Its was a fantastic trip!  We really enjoyed it it was great fun especially the off road parts, the views were amazing and it was an enjoyable day out.We also travelled with another family which made the day more enjoyable . The guides were helpful and friendly and we would definitely recommend it, it was great value for money and a fantastic experience!!

Thanks

Sarah L  (18 August 2005)

(Honeymoon Day)  An absolutley brilliant day. Best trip ever been on. Great fun, saw parts of the island we just wouldn't have been able to see any other way. Plenty of stops along the way and loads of time to take pictures. The off roading was great, some of the "roads" were a bit hair raising and very dusty but well worth it. The drivers and guide were brilliant and we even saw a turtle. Would recomend it to anyone, there were adults and children in our jeep and everyone had a great time.

Thanks guys

Lynne M  (17 August 2005)

We had a superb day out (despite a very sick child). It was certainly a superb and memorrable way to see the island. Our driver pete made the trip really interesting with all his knowledge about the places we visited. The kids REALLY ENJOYED the off road sections and the ability to swim into the sulphar caves. ( Glad I missed out on that after hearing how cold the water was!). Finally, thank you Pete for concern and thoughtfulness after my daughter took ill on the trip.(Date of trip 7.8.5)

Jenny H  (15 August 2005)

"STONE-THROWERS' DAY"  (not at each other - we were trying to hit a rock in the sea from the beautiful beach we stopped at)

Another great trip.  If you can do two trips do this one and do the Levante speed boat trip - that way you get to see Zante from land and from water in the most exciting way!

This was sooooooo much better than a coach trip we went on - the air con made us feel ill on the coach.  On the jeep its all  fresh air (and a bit of dust!).  You can see the most amazing views of the island - including a panoramic one that there is no way in this world a coach could get to (and apparently none of the other jeeps go to either), and one of Smugglers cove that Simon and the others can guide you to that's really special.  Do not be pursuaded to go with any of the other (albeit slightly cheaper) jeep tours - they're all ponies who don't have the proper safety precautions.  With Zakfari I felt I was in safe and competant hands.

Make sure you take plenty of water with you and don't wear flip flops if possible - you have to do a little bit of walking to get to some of the sights.  Oh, and don't drink too many cocktails the night before...

Don't miss out!

Hope C  (14 August 2005)

fantastic day out.....loved every minute of it

Toni P  (14 August 2005)

GRAPE DAY!!!!!!!!!!

If you were there, then you will know what I mean by Grape Day!
We spent the day throwing grapes at Simon the guide.

I could spend forever telling you what a great day this was, but I won't.

There isn't  enough time or space to tell you what I great day we had.

If you only book one trip, then this has got to be it!!!!!!

The scenery, the off roading, the whole experience is inspiring to do it again and again and again!!!

55 euros for adults, and I think we paid 30 euros for the kids, not a cheap day, but it is worth it.

My youngest is 11 and she thought it was 'ACE!!!'

Anyway, just go and book. you will not be dissapointed, I guarantee it.

Andy M  (12 August 2005)

What a excellent day out. went on 26 july 05 (Bug day). Paul was our driver very frendly and a great laugh, not to sure about some of the stories he came out with, must have been made up in the bar .

Thanks.

We went on the Zakfari on Tuesday 2nd August 2005.  Very hot day but it was great.  The land rover was fun, especially off-road.  Simon was our guide and Larry our driver.  Simon was full of interesting and amusing stuff about all the varied stops we made -  places to suit everyone.   Tiny bit of 'steepish' walking to do, so a pair of trainers is better than a pair of sandals.

Our teenage kids really enjoyed it too.  Money well spent we'd say and something a bit different.

Hi Gill.

Zakfari is 55 euro per adult and 33 euro per child in high season. However, if you book online at www.zanteholidays.com then it is only 50 and 30 respectively. We run the same tour everyday, and pick up from all resorts.

Hope to see you soon

Gill   (03 August 2005)

Could anyone please tell me how much the safari costs per person and what kind of times its at.  You all seemed to have enjoyed it any way!

Lynn M  (01 August 2005)

We were on the Telegraph Pole on fire day (9th July 2005)   It was the best excursion We have ever been on something for every one Young & old.  Pete was our driver very friendly and knowledgable.  Best views you will see anywhere on Zakinthos.  Lots of good fun too every one got to know one another,  would recommed the trip as a must not miss when you visit Zakinthos.

We were also on Kelly's 28th Birthday Day (me being the Kelly in question!). Had a brilliant day, despite Paul questioning the fact that my hair is naturally blonde! It's an absolutely fab way of seeing a lovely island and you definitely get to see things that you wouldn't by other means of transport.

If you are going to Zakynthos I would thoroughly recommend going on this trip, drinking the water from the well, buying some hangover-free wine and not believing all you hear!

Thanks for a great day Paul and good luck in the future,
Kelly (28 year old natural blonde) and Rory (Barry Chuckle stalker and star of picture love stories...remember that?!!!)

Mark B  (28 July 2005)

We were on Kelly's 28th b'day-day! we had a truly great day,so much to see and very informative, although dont believe everything you hear  it was the best part of our holiday,Mark (princess Anne) and Marion (Jimmy White)

Neil B  (27 July 2005)

What a great day !!! If you want to see all the island in one day then Zakfari is the only trip to go on.Me,my wife and two kids had a brilliant time as it was totally different from the usual run of the mill trips. My eldest son Arron had a great time sitting in the front seat next to Larry, our driver for the day.

Thanks to everyone at Zakfari

Claire G  (21 July 2005)

Olympic day!

What a day!  We had Simon on our jeep, with a crazy driver, I can't remember his name, but he was fantastic.  We got to see all the sights on the island, plus a few more off roading.  The dead snake was a sight to remember!  Simon was a great tour guide, and when he had to come and sit in the cheap seats with us he was a good laugh.  All the people on the jeep had a great time.  It was a long day, but it didn't seem like it, because there was so much to see and do.

Thanks to everyone at Zakfari who made our day one to remember.

(Olympics Day - when London got the nod)

Thanks to the guys driving these ex-army landrovers, you'll visit the places tour buses can't reach, go down tracks that hardly exist which are impassible to hire cars and learn an awful lot about the island.  Pete (on the right) was our driver that day with excellent local knowledge including many anecdotes.    Simon told us all about the history/sights at each stop and at some we even believed him!!

A great day out, hot and dusty, well worth the money and if you only manage one excursion during your holiday this has got to be the one.

Cheers guys!

What a great day out! We had a load of laughs and were educated at the same time about the history of the island. Thanks Simon and 'Kojak' and watch ouot for those 'big bushes'!

Buckle up and enjoy the ride.
This is a chance to see the Island and views in a much more exciting way than by coach or boat, in the capable hands of Larry & Pete & the mine of information, Simon. (did you get your bike back?)

click to enlargeclick to enlarge (Telegraph pole fire day) What a great day out.  We're no spring chickens but we felt like 16 year olds by the end of it.  Pete (our driver) was great and full of useless information that had us in stitches. Not too keen on heights but the walk along the cliff path to see the Ship Wreck was worth the 'jelly' legs!  No other trip would have allowed us to see the views we got (a hot air balloon maybe). Thanks everyone.  Hils & Joan

click to enlarge What a fantastic day out, albeit rather windy. The views were spectacular and our driver Paul was a wonderful guide. He got everyone to introduce themselves and got to know us. The whole excursion was extremely well organised and true value for money. All Paul's staff were great. A good day out. One thing though ladies, if you are vain, where a hat! When you go over all the dusty roads you end up looking like you have not washed your hair in a month, and it is thick with dust

Sarah P  (12 July 2005)

Zakfari was the best trip.  It was really good value for money, we saw more on that one day than most in our hotel did and they had hired cars and gone  on a few excursions.  Saw all of the island and Simon and Larry were great fun, Although I am sure I am 2cm shorter due to the bumps whem we were off road   Smileand for someone who is only 5ft every little cm is needed.  Great trip really, really recommend  this,

Sarah Embarrassed

Matthew L  (12 July 2005)

It is a quality trip. The guides were very good and funny. Extremely good value for money. I recommend anyone to do it. It was worth having a lighter night out before just to go. Got to point out I went on the trip where the telegraph pole was on fire!!!! Hope everyoclick to enlargene else on the trip I went on enjoyed it as well.

Jeep zakfari was great, one of the best excursions on the  island, would recomend to any one

Mike M  (07 July 2005)

Zakfari was amazing.  The scenery was spectacular and the ride was great fun.  We were there on the "Brighton and Hove" day and our guide Pete was fantastic.  He was a wealth of knowledge, very funny and passed on so much interesting knowledge about the whole island, local Zakynthian life, history of the island and specific details about the landscape and villages.  The best day of our holiday and worth every penny.  Thanks Pete.  From Mike and Karen at the Hotel Mediteranee.

Deanna B  (06 July 2005)

We went on the zakfari on petes snake killing day 26/6/05. Was the best day out by far. The trip took us up to the top of the island, to the ship wreck, views were stunning, to xigia bay for a welcome swim and many others places in between. Simon gave us a running commentary on all the places we visited. Thanks for a really GREAT DAY Deanna and Buster

It was our first time in Zante and a holiday that I will never forget! Zakfari was absolutely brilliant and the perfect way to see the island. Paul was our driver - that man knows so many routes even when you think you're in the middle of nowhere! The whole team were great - you should definetly go!

Rare Green Lizard Day (25.06.05)

We had Paul as our guide, and he was fantastic! He made the effort to get to know every member of the group, which made the trip even better than it would otherwise have been. The Safari itself was incredible, a great thing to do at the start of your holiday to get to know the island.

Superior Biscuit Day (21.06.2005).

The Zakfari was absolutely fantastic: The highlight of our holiday (especially as we were staying in Amoudi, where there is nothing to do!).  Paul was our driver, and he really knows his stuff, except that he supports Luton!  (Easy 6 points for the Owls next season!).  Zakfari is definitely worth doing and we'll recommend it to anyone who goes to Zante in future, but I'd advise you girlies to take a hair brush as I looked like Worzel Gummage afterwards with my hair full of dust!
Thank you from us both for a great day out.
Sophie and Darrell.

Thank-you for a great day out - it was so much fun.  We had Paul as our driver and this man knows everything there is to know about Zante.  Flying low day - Simon.  Thanks for the Pen!!!!!! Sam and Darren

Rug Purchase Day

It was our 5th year in Tsilivi, and eventually we booked onto the Zakfari trip.  What a great day.  Dry, dusty, but what a great team of staff. Purchased bottles of wine in Volimes, and it's true, no hangover!! Wonderful sights and commentary, and good company from the others in our jeep.

zakfari is officially the best trip on the island. I was a rep there last year and got to do it then,  and this year was more than glad to pay to do it again on my holiday.

the day out is fabulous, the drivers and guides are brilliant. (although they will rip into you if you're hungover... I dont reccomend it, we hadn't slept and were probably drunk, mixed with a lot of bouncing makes for unpleasantness) but even with a hangover it is still an amazing day out.

as for the naming of the day... thanks simon for the superior biscuit day... you were well and truly taken in on that one..... good luck in your first year guiding and wherever you end up repping in winter, maybe I'll consider taking the job up again. if you fancy staying in touch it's lolacapone@hotmail.com

anyway.... it's a great day out.

do it. you'll not regret it.

Flying low day! 08.06.05

We had a great time on the safari and it was the best day of our holiday.  Paul was our driver and was brilliant at telling us about various sites and stories about the island.  Paul was also good entertainment when driving to our next destination.  Can't believe we met another couple from where we come from on the same jeep as us!!  I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the island.  Helen and Keith

June 16th.

This trip was excellent, our tour guide simon really made the day with his excellent knolwedge of the island and his good sense of humor. It was a great fun day out, apart from the fact that it was a bit overcast so we couldn't stop for a swim!
I would definately vist the island again and would go on this trip again, I would also reccommend it to anybody who is visiting Zante on holiday. Really enjoyed it, thanks a lot.Smile

Don't let the kids swim day! Sun 29/05/05 My wife and I loved the Zakfari, best excursion we have ever done! We had Paul as a driver and apart from being very knowledgable about the island, he was also funny and witty!! We were sat next to Nikki the cheesecake maker!! Mmmmm... Top day, cheers every1!!!!!!

Dave W  (15 June 2005)

We did the Safari on the 18/5/05, it was great, sometimes a little bumpy but you would expect that.
We had Peter driving and Paul as the tour guide, Pauls knowledge of the locations visited was excellent, very interesting and informative. I would recomend Zakfari to anyone.
The trip we were on had a great mix of people who were all there to enjoy themselves, even the Jeep breaking down did not bother us, well we were not in that Jeep!!!
But we did have Amber!!!!!!!!!!!! she and her mate Susanne made the day for all of us. Remember Amber Paul and Peter

Dolores I  (15 June 2005)
