Hey GEMMA, I was at the admiral in June and Am going back on the 19th of September too. It really really good for children. In fact its gr8 for everyone! Babies a little less obviously but the toddlers can get involved and Paul is a great entertainer for the kids! There is pool tournaments and games in the pool throughtout the day, everyday. And everynight between 9 and 10 theres a kids party with games, so theres alot for them to do, no need to worry! Enjoy ur holiday, will no doubt bump into u there! Cya soon, hope this helps! x

Gemma

HELLO!WERE COMING TO THE ADMIRAL ON 19TH SEPTEMBER.JUST WONDERING IF ITS GOOD FOR CHILDREN AND BABIES, OR IS IT MORE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE?

Hey Grace its Natalie and Dane remember us from early July. Just to let you know that we have booked for the 5th October to come to the Admirals for a week. We will see you then and we will have to make it for a drink this time.

Sammy

Hey Shelly, there are no flights into or out of Zante after OCtober the 31st so the whole island is only open to tourists in the summer months, let alone the admiral! Hope this helps :-)

Shelly

Steph D

Hey Lavyheed, me again. Just thought I'd come on and let u know that u have the pleasure of my company (and George, Carrie and co) again on the 19th of September for a week! Can't wait! Carrie's coming 2 Glasgow on Sat for a wild night out so don't be surprised if u get very drunken fone calls saying how much we miss ya very late sat night/ early sunday morning lol!

Missing ya so much! Really can't wait to come back. Started taking my driving lessons, so hopefully I'll be driving soon and get a shot of yer sexy little corsa on the streets of Glasgow when u come thru!

Anyways can't wait to hear how the rest of yer seasons been, sounds ahem exciting from the rest of the msgs... keeping chicks awake, showering etc? Sounds... well nuff said. And.. I hear u replaced me so easily with Carrie to do the boards when i left.. hope i wasn't forgotten that easily, u certainly weren't, sexiest scouser i know! (plus like i said b4 with the scar ;-)4rom my last day) lol.

Can't wait to see ya again anyway, bracing myself to be drowned for a whole week again! lol!

Still missing ya loads, luv ya scouse, loads of love n hugs, Sammy xxx

Carly O

Hi everyone, thanks 4 making our holiday a great one. Cheers paul 4 throwing me in the pool and always makin us play the pool games!! Hope everyone is well. See u all at the reunion! We can all dance away to sha la la!!
Take care lots of love the Bundy girls!! xx

Sammy

Hey Rob, Glad u enjoyed the holiday, We had a fantastic time too! U shud have been paid as much as Paul n Sam for entertainment! LOL!

Bet ur glad ur m8s don't believe Lisa about yer cross dressing antics! Lol! If only she had u singing like a virgin on video camera, that would be proof enough! That song will never be the same when I hear it now! In fact, since June so many songs have taken a whole new meaning!

We're going back on the 19th of September (all going well) with Carrie and her mum and dad, don't know if u met them, think they might have got there once u left! We're only going back for a week tho, found it thru Thomas Cook for 279 quid! Altho my friend just started working in Lunn Poly n gets a 75% discount so that should make it ALOT cheaper! Anyways get Ebaying a.s.a.p and u can have ur backing singers back in Sept, if u can make it back for then! We're leaving Scott at home this time tho, just so we can do the boat trips, since he didn't let us when we were there!

I have a really good pic of all of u guys at ur cross dressing best! I think I might put it up on the site actually, just for fun. Hey at least u can say u only did it for fun on holiday, Paul will be doing it all season! Lol! His cross dressing on Greek Night was just fantastic, especially since it was Sam's mini skirt. lol!

Anyways keep practicing the oldies for ur return, make Lisa proud (since she thinks u get worse everytime! ) Let her and the kids know we were asking 4 them!

Scott says hi George! He has his own email address at my place so if he wants he can send him an email to : SupaScotto@aol.com, everyone else seemed to exchange emails (CJ, Scott, Lauren n the gang), never got a chance to swap with ya's. Ah well thank god for this website eh?

Anways better go now, reality in rainy Glasgow is calling. So wish we were still in Zante! Will be soon enough tho. Hope 2 hear from y'all soon, take care, luv Sammy xx

Rob H

Hi Sammy, nice to hear from you.

Yes it is me, Rob the Bohemian Rhapsody Love shack man!! Really missing Zante now I am back in rainy old England, thanks to you guys and the rest of the people who were there around the middle of June for having such a laugh with us - you and the entertainers were great company.

Lisa has told all my friends about my performance in Mrs Zakynthos, fortunately I don't think they believe her! I have very blurry memories of that night so if anyone can fill in the blanks I would be grateful, as Lisa just bursts out laughing when I ask her about it! Fortunately I have felt no urge to cross dress since ;-)

We really want to come back to the Admiral before the end of the season, but I had better do some serious ebaying if that is going to happen! In the meantime get your air guitars out "SCARAMOUCHE SCARAMOUCHE WILL YOU DO THE FANDANGOOOOO!!!!"

Where are my backing singers when I need them?

Beth W

hey guys cheers 4 a wicked time, nicky your a top barmaid. and the entertainment team was great. paul cheers for the times u were taken us to kfc and for makin us take part in the games and stuff. tashy hope your actually doing some work now weve gone. the whole holiday was a laugh and were definately gonna come back. paul c ya in november if your still going and make sure you have your nails n eyebrows done b4 u go lol.
cheers 4 everything love beth n kelly.

Sharon S

Just got back on the 15th after a week.Thank-you Paul and the rest of the staff for making the holiday ! Just a shame that you pay quite alot for your holiday and when you get there you have lots of extras to pay for ie.air-con which in this day and age you should get free of charge with is being so hot anyway ! And what can you say about the airport(just leave it there) so once again well done Paul (and get so rest man)and the rest of the gang

Peter S

me and my partner (sara) we hade the best two weeks of our life, the staff whear great and friendly. we will be back next year.
love
peter + sara

Julie M

We were at the Admiral from the 17th of June to 1st July. It was a fantastic two weeks, the entertainment during the day was great at the pool and my son Dylan loved it. Even better was the entertainment at night, Paul and all the crew made our holiday an memorable experience especially when it came to Mrs. Zakynthos. I have the video to prove it. Myself and Alex and Dylan just want to say a big thanks to you all for making it our best holiday ever.

We also met up with some great people, Trisha, Jim, Jordan & Paul and Kev, Ashleigh, Leeanne, Alan, Colin and John.

I would say however the only downside to our holiday was the airport, total nightmare coming and going, but it wouldnt put me off coming back again to the Admiral.

Once again thanks to you all for such a great time.

Sammy

Sorry forgot to mention one thing :

Paul cheers for my last day, the best of the holiday! Must say tho, I'm loving the bruises and Scar I'm left with from Go-Karting! Just reminds me everyday of how bad ur driving really is, ahem lol! Don't go swimming to far out in the sea now either, we know how lazy u get on the way back. Anyways missing u loads and c ya soon, luv sammy xxx

Sammy

Don't know what happened to my last comment that did used to have its place above Rob's but anyway heres another one:

We stayed in the admiral for 2 weeks from the 13th June til the 28th and it was fantastic! We had a few problems with the dodgy, overcrowded shoeboxes, sorry rooms, but other than that the whole holiday was fab.

The best part of it was the entertainment team; y'alright gang : Paul, Sammy, Stuart etc. Hope everythings going well. Miss Y'all especially Paul (aka Lavyheed) Ye Baby! There was loads for the kids to do round the pool during the day, and the adults too! (Poolside bingo is not what u expect it to be, watch out lol!) And the evenings are full of lively entertainment which hugely focuses on the cross dressers of the world lol. Battle of the sexes is a must!

Overall our holiday was terrific, like I said hugely down to the entertainment team (Paul u r the best!) We're hoping to get out b4 the end of the season, otherwise see u in Glasgow Lavyheed. Hope by then u get the knack of the accent like!

Anyway hope u guys all continue to have a ball thru summer, keep making peoples holidays the best they can possibly be! And for anyone visiting the admiral in the future, have fun, take part and be up for the biggest laugh u'll ever have in 2 weeks!

Missin' ya, now and always! Loads of love, Sammy (And Scott n George) Glasgow xxx

P.S. Rob are you the bohemian rapsody man...aka love shack? Lol! you made the holiday 2 m8!

Carol L

Really enjoyed the holiday. Hotel was good, a bit noisy during the day because of all the kids but very quiet at night. Room faced the rising sun on a morning so got very hot, needed to hire a fan for the room.

Gary T

we stayed here for 2 weeks in june, the apartments are very clean the only thing that lets it down is the noise not just from outside, you can hear everything in the rooms around you as well. never been away when the rooms are cleaned in the middle of the night either. can't say alot about the entertainment as didn't stay around the pool as our son got an ear infection & couldn't go in it & at night we went out to different bars & restaurants.
we had a great holiday in argassi but can't say i would stay at the admiral again.

C,j C

Susan M

we are stopping at the admiral aparthotel in 2 weeks can you pre book air conditioning

Pete L

hi
i went to the admiral hotel for 2 weeks.acc was poor for chilldren as they had to sleep in beds in the kitchen area and there was no windows apart from the balcony doors which was in the next bedroom.it was very clean.staff very friendly.the noise all night was very bad.didnt sleep for 2 weeks probaly.this hotel isnt for famlies.it was for young couples or groups of boys and girls.there was no air con.wont be back. from pete and the family

ps: bathroom was a stupid layout.

Gerry C

Having just spent two weeks in the Admiral Aparthotel I would like to recommend the accommodation and the resort. The view from our balcony was worth getting up for alone, looking back across the bay to Zakynthos town. This was one of the cleanest and well managed properties we have ever stayed in years of travelling to all parts of the Med. The entertainment staff worked hard and those who chose to take part seemed to enjoy themselves. The resort is compact, everything within a few minutes walk. The choice of restaurants is amazing with something for everyone. These restaurants can vary in quality, as can be seen from the various reviews elsewhere on this site but the overall impression was of friendly staff and reasonable prices. PS The Hotel Palmyra is about five minutes walk back down the hill towards the main road.

Rob H

The Admiral appartments are clean and have REAL beds for the children rather than those horrible sofabeds that you get everywhere else, you don't have to hire a kettle lead and there always seemed to be hot water. On the minus side the apartment was very small and the maid obviously got thrown out of the Blackpool Landlady's Society for being too surly - she was completely the opposite of the rest of the Greeks we met who were unfailingly friendly.

What made our holiday special was the entertainment - Paul and Sam, the entertainers, worked so hard with such enthusiasm it made every day enjoyable for us and the kids. There is afternoon entertainment which centres around the pool and evening entertainment with the emphasis on participation, although if you just want to watch you are left alone and not badgered. Plenty of opportunities to win free drinks if you do join in though - I won loads! The entertainers are friendly, down to earth and most of all ENTERTAINING! The fortnight flew by as it was just like one long party.

Argassi is beatiful with mountains and plenty of greenery. The island itself is quite small so you can explore easily, although the coach tours are not for the faint hearted.

Overall we had the best holiday we have ever had and are hoping to come back again before the season finishes.

David P

s

Paul C

John B

I was here on my own which didnt help in a hotel and resort over run with families and couples, young and old. Saying that I had a good time and the staff at the admiral were really friendly. One of the receptionists, an english girl called Sue I believe, was rather concerned for me when I told her I had taken a quad bike out. She kept insisting I wear a helmet. It was nice to feel someone cared. The resort is fun and would be good with friends but if I went back it would be only for a few days as I am not a pool lounger or sun worshipper, although saying that there are interesting tours. 8 out of 10 for the Admirals. Why 8. Well it dropped the two points for a pool that was too small and hard beds. ;)

Vik P

Michael G

To Cathy and her family. I've been holidaying with my family since I was 13 and i can honestly say that I never experienced the atmosphere and facilities that the admiral has to offer. There's kids club during the day and pool activities too. Just around the corner there are swings and a covered cinema with the latest movies showing daily. Any more questions then just send me an email at hotelentertainer@yahoo.co.uk. See you in June
Michael, the barman @ Admiral Apartments

Loved the place, espcially Niki & Mike, Lots to do,and the beaches at Kalamaki & Turtle Island were FAB. Louie At the Crepery and his dad Peter were lots of fun, loved the food and drink, will definately be back next year.

Arthur,Angie,Grant and Anthea send their best wishes to all of our friends that we met over there.

Ben V

Room very clean, cleaners slightly too keen for my liking. Apart from usual 2 hobs and a sink we had a microwave, a kettle, a brevel toastie maker but no toaster! Refuse rooms in the annex across the road from the main entrance as coaches and street cleaners will wake you up at all hours of the night.

Paul H

First time in Zante.Room ok but Didn't spend much time in it.Bedding changed each day.Pool ok but tends to get a bit crowded.Very close to Tropicana Center (next door)good food there and very friendly staff.

Laura H

hi gary morgan, how do u know me jo and nat? laura (lhopley84@hotmail.com)

Michael W

1st time in Zante, apartments we bit small but didnt spend much time in them anyways, pool was good and only a walk down the hill to the bars was good, met some quality peeps there as well, overall top place.

Amy C

Hey i got back from argassi last week and i thought it was gr8.. the pool at the admiral was ok and the snak bar was really useful and not too expensive the town was dead good for clubbin and i found the rooms nce and big.. i shall be goin again...

Sam D

Beverley F

I recently stayed in the Admiral with 9 members of my family and thought it was great! Location is good, accomodation is clean and all the staff, including the cleaners were very friendly. The entertainment is there if you want it, day and night! The team work very hard to meet your expectations. Excellent for families. One complaint......the binmen! Woke us up most mornings, so loud, thought they were on our balcony! Didn't spoil the holiday though.
Have a nice holiday, if you're going!

Shaun & Teresa

The team, Sam, Nikki, Michael & Donna, (all of which I put in the pool), also Maria made us feel very welcome. They made sure that we had a fantastic holiday. Michaels Purple Poison is a must!! The rooms are basic as are all in Greece. The island is gorgeous and The Admiral is perfectly placed to be outside enough to be quiet yet close enough to be in the epicentre in a short walk. The pool was great but get there early for a sunbed as Towels on beds can be a problem. Rooms are cleaned every day but Sunday and towels are changed daily if left on the floor. Air con is expensive but well worth the money. Best restaurants in Argassi are the Phoenix & Castaways both very close by. If full english is your thing then DJ's almost opposite is excellent from 9am. Tropicana next door is the place for cocktails,(also cheapest place on the island for draught beer!), meals are good too! Hope you have a great holiday!!!

Gary M

If you are a family and you use all of the facilities available here, you will enjoy your stay. The main hotel looked good but I like the freedom of s/catering and stayed in the little studio apartments across the road. However, it was very noisy because we were virtually on the roadside & were woken at all hours by noisy vans & coaches which stopped right outside. You would have sworn they were on our balcony! In all, a good facility with friendly, helpful staff but I found the S/C accommodation a bit tired and far too noisy, and not just because of the traffic.

Richard H

hey dudes and dudettes at the hotel. just a quick hi from richard and richard (donnas bloke) and tanja. just to let you know we miss you all and donna the answer is yes i did see tanja again. once in london and two weeks in finland. the invite is on its way. and we could not say good bye without a very big hi from tanja to cody the romanian barman who is far better than rest of the bar staff. cody shots live for ever. no martini no party xxx

Michael G

Just to let you know, I am the bar man at the Admiral Hotel. I have been working here for 3 months and cannot fault the place. Have been reading your comments and appreciate what you have got to say. If you need any information just let me know and send me an email at hotelentertainer@yahoo.co.uk. You can also ask Donna the hotel entertainer at the Commodore for information at donnaingreece@yahoo.co.uk.
Look forward to seeing you here and don't hesitate to ask for one of my purple poison cocktails.

Samantha C

Debbie K

we returned sunday 13th july the admiral is very good plenty of activities for all throughout the day and into the evening.beach is naf but plenty of beach bars with pools for use . night life is lively enough. the tropicana restaurant bar cinema and play area is excellent for families.all the staff at the admirals are very good 3 cheers to you all. word of warning to any one who has not been to zante yet the airport is very basic , long ques in very hot conditions (there is only one way in and one way out)

Jeanette W

we got back from the admiral on monday, what a fab time we had, big thanks to sam, sofia (mad barmaid hello my love) and nikki, kids loved it, beach was not to good but do go to plaka beach 11e there and back, rooms ok but not all have air con so you need to ask exta 50e per week, weather HOT :o), pool gets busy,to all that are going you will love it.

Sophie a

Stayed at Admiral 6th-20th June 2003. Had a brilliant time. Special HELLO to Donna (really miss you), Sam, Mad Michael, Sofia and Nikki. Thank you all for helping to make my holiday so good. Love Sophie

Kirstie C

just returned from a fabulous holiday at the admirals.
weathergloriously hot and accomodation good.
POSITION OF HOTEL IS EXCELLENT ALTHOUGH LOCAL BEACK OK ITS WORTH A TRIP INTO LAGANAS OR KALAMAKI FOR MUCH NICER BEACHES. 11 EUROS IN A TAXI TO LAGANAS.
ROOMS OK ALTHOUGH VERY HOT.YOU CAN HIRE A FAN FROM THE HOTEL AT 2.5 EUROS PER DAY BUT WE GOT OURS FROM THE MOPED SHOP JUST DOWN THE ROAD FOR 1.5 EUROS PER DAY.
SNACK BAR REASONABLY PRICED AND ALL THE STAFF ARE GREAT. ESPECIALLY THE MAD GREEK SOFIA BEHIND THE BAR AND SAM THE SCOUSE ENTERTAINER.
GOOD ORGANISED ACTIVITIES DAILY.
WILL DEFINATELY BE RETURNING AS MY DAUGHTER WANTS SAMS JOB.

June N

I came back last night from two weeks at the Admirals. Some of it I loved and some I hated. Breakfast is a steal at 3euros, I thought a bargain. The food is cheap and good (snack stuff only closes at teatime. The staff on reception and at the bar are good, friendly and helpful. I didnt rate the entertainment, I thought it was poor, Michael was the best little entertainer not used to his best. Let him have more input. The manager is agressive and not good at people skills, you need to listen more!! The bar is pricey but the bar person Sofia is priceless! a wonderful person. The room was adiquate but noisy and hot, hire a fan or the air conditioning. A fan is 2.5euros per day plus deposit and the air conditioning an overpriced 6 euros per day!!! (but its worth it if you want to sleep).

Debbie K

we are stayin in the admiral from 29th june for 2 wks we will have our 2 yr old grandson with us can anyone reassure us that there is plenty to do for this age group, ie kids club etc .

Tracy L

Myself and my son Connor stayed there in June for two weeks, it was great!! Hi to everyone including sam and sofia, hope to come back very soon. Miss you all, we had a great time, probably the best holiday we have ever had.

Julie L

we are staying at the tsilivi admirals on the 6/7/03 for one week there are 8 of us 4 adults 1 18yr 2 17yr and 1 10 year old will there be things for them to do? also some people say there are rooms with air con is this true? all the reports sound great we are looking to have lots of fun so if you are going get in touch

Gary B

Admiral makes a good base up the hill just far enough away from the noise exept if you stay on the tropicana bar side shuts about 2am then the bloody cockrals start crowing about 4 am plesant staff didnt yous the bar much silly party games good for kids . pool full of kids find a quiter one down the road lift a bit hit & miss sun loungers not enough of them clean & tidy would go back but did see better looking places around

Shantelle M

Hello to everyone including Sam, Micheal, Daniel, Nikki, Sofia, Donna and every one else. hope to see you all soon missin you already! Sorry we missed you but we left 1130 and you wern't there!!!!

Nick A

Me and my girlfriend are staying at the Admiral at the end of June. Could someone please give me an indication of how much a 2-course meal on an evening is on average, how much a bottle of Amstel is, how much Vodka plus a mixer is and the price of watersports in Argassi. It would be great if someone could inform me. Please just mail me at nickarcher@hotmail.com. Thanks In Advance

Alex W

WE ARE GOING TO ADMIRALS APARTMENTS ON 26TH OF JUNE 2003, THIS IS THE FIRST TIME WE WILL JUST HAVE OUR SON WHO IS 14 WITH US, THE OTHER KIDS ARE ALL OLDER AND ARE GOING ON HOLS WITH THEIR FRIENDS.IS THERE PLENTY FOR HIM TO DO.THE APARTMENTS SOUND GREAT IN THE OTHER REVIEWS.

Sheri B

This will be the third time that we have stayed at the Admiral apartments (the fourth for the friends that we go with). We are a party of 9, four adults, and 6 kids from 9 to 17ish and it is a fantastic place to stay. The people in Argassi and the staff at the Admirals are all friendly and helpful.
We are going back in July of this year for 2 weeks and would be grateful if anybody going before the end of May could let us know if Helen is still the day manager at the Admiral as we would like to phone ahead and book 'our' rooms again.
Zante is definitely worth a try, it is a small and friendly island with as much or as little as you want to do available.

Jade W

i have been to zante twice now and i have enjoyed every minute of it argassi is the place to go its full of life and everyone is so welcoming! the admirals hotel was superb superb staff the rooms were spot on pool views brilliant i am planning to come back again next summer and i cant wait!!!!

Mark T

we have been visting zante for 10 years and always stay at the admirals or commodore.we got married in zante in 2001 and held our reception at the complex.the rooms are very clean, the staff are very friendly and the location commands wonderful views.yianne(our best man)always ensures guests are well looked after.we have no complaints what so ever and are about to enjoy a week in may 2003 with our new son! YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!.

Jamie N

Hannah m

Me n my best mate stayed in Argasssi in August 15th-29th. Had a great time, Sexy lad there called jamie very nice indeed!! Going to Kardemena next year in Kos. Argassi is a bit quiet for a clubbing holiday! Loved the factory Club and definately the Oasis bar staff were well sound. Best cocktail Sex on the Beach!!!

Karen D

Zoe P

Returned home 2 weeks ago.Brill place to stay the rooms are great for both adults and children/teenagers.There is dialy pool activtcy's, and nightly entertainment in reception. Got to mention jojo the entertainer she is absolutely fantastic. lot's of luv, captain Zoe

Karen G

Stayed second two weeks of September. Typical Greek accomodation although a bit cleaner than have had in the past - maid service was every day and they were very thorough. Apartment was facing the road which needless to say was very noisy all night. Just get thru the drunks coming home and then the dustmen start up. But then, holidays are for resting so we just fell asleep on the sun beds in the day. You can use the pools at Captains and Commodores - dont bother with Commodors as it doesnt get any sun, hence why the pool at Admirals gets quite busy. The entertainement people had chnaged since most of the other comments put on - Jim Bob and JoJo we up for those wanting to join in but would leave you alone if you didn't. Bingo, quiz and kareoke every night - a bit wearing but you are no obliged to stay and watch. Hotel people were great, we had a leak in the bathroom which turned out to be major problem (gut the bathroom upstairs before they can sort!)but they really tried to get it sorted for us. All in all a great place and good all round resort but not quite enough to pull us back again.

Gordon P

very nice hotel very clean well looked after the entertainment could be better though

Natalie B

I loved every bit of my holiday at the Admiral it was ace Elle the rep was v annoying though all my family went aged between 4 - 35 and there was always somthing for us to do the reception is v relaxing and open late which is good but the music in there was old fasioned hehehe sam was brill with the kids i just want to say a huge hello to all my new mates from zante this includes Jenny Ruth Bex Jhon Jack Dan Mat Lee Ben and last but not least my new man Jamie i love you babe !! the factory is really good for teenages lots of nice cocktails ! especially sex on the beach !!

Ellen W

I stayed at the admirals in Aug. Good location but quite noisy, we stayed near the tropicana bar and you heard the music from that. I believe the other end of the hotel was quieter. Also the people coming in after a night out were heard as the walls are paper thin. The rooms were clean and the maids were in nearly every day. The water polo every day was too much and sometimes quite rough. We will not be going back, not just because of the hotel, we found argassi only interested in your money rather than making sure you enjoy yourselves. It has lost its greek charm.

Jo F

We stayed at the Admiral for the last two weeks in August. The hotel complex and pool area were great, just big enough. Not too keen on the room, very basic but you only sleep in there at the end of the day. Wouldn't recommend the water polo for kids (it's a bit of a free for all) as my 6yr old son got elbowed in the mouth which resulted in a trip to the doc's for some stitches. Got to say hi to Super Sam in the kids club from Joshi Josh or Batman as she liked to call him XXXX. Overall a brilliant holiday, would recommend the admiral to anyone! More suited to families than couples.

Graham & Chris

I RETURNED 1 SEPT, THE ADMIRAL IS AN EXCELLENT PLACE TO BASE YOURSELF.NO COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE ROOM SERVICE,ALWAYS CLEAN TOWELS AND SHEETS,STAFF ARE VERY HELPFULL.I THINK THE POOL IS TOO SMALL FOR THE NUMBER OF ROOMS,IT GETS VERY CROWDED AT TIMES.ALTHOUGH KAREOKE WAS ON THE ENTERTAINMENT BOARD,IT NEVER HAPPENED,FOOTBALL SEEMED TO TAKE PRIORITY.I WOULD RECOMEND THE ADMIRAL.

Marie H

Have too mention the supermarket on the left hand side of Admirals as you are going down the hill, a really pleasant family, mother , father an 2 sons( i think), always said hello even if you were only walking by, Cheapest for duty free as well, huge bottle of bacardi 12 euros (£8) Well worth a visit!!!!!!!!

Marie H

Returned 2 days ago from Argassi, totally gutted,Had a great time ,my sister in law got married so there was most of the family too. Stayed at Admirals, lovely and clean ,maid in every day.Lots of children in our party, so was very dissapointed with the entertainment, never witnessed one karoke or disco as was displayrd on the daily activity board.Sam did try but there was only so much water polo you could do. Only real complaint, lift broke the day we got there and was a night mare carrying buggies up and down to the top floor everynight, but still, didn't let that ruin our fun, hopefully back next year

R D

Although I stayed next door in the Commodore, I spent a fair whle here. The pool is nice, apart from when the rep starts waterpolo which turns into a mass bundle (cheers elle!!) Great for kids, loads of evening entertainment, great for families, and much nicer people than next door!!!

Norma P

Stayed at Admiral Apartments from 29 July to 11 August. Location brilliant, plenty to do for children, teens and adults. Apartments cleaned every day, microwave oven, kettle and toaster supplied in apartments. Can use facilities in Commodore and Captains but we preferred Admiral. Only downside - nightime flight - but no problem keeping room on until 4am in morning. Would highly recommend these apartments.

Frankie D

We were at the Admiral between 29th July & 12th August. You couldn't get moved for kids of all ages. We have a son 14 and daughter 12. They both made loads of friends. In fact we never saw our son for a fortnight.

Dublin B

Laura, I wouldn't worry about it, I'm sure your daughters will have a great time! There's something for everyone on that island so they definately won't be bored. Myself and 5 mates stayed in the Admirals in June and an excellent holiday, so good that we're going back in September!

Laura J

I am going to Argassi and staying in the Admiral i have 2 teenager daughters and would like to know if there is things 2 offer them and if other teenagers often stay at the admiral as they are a bit iffy about going and i want to make it a great holiday

Barry T

Me my wife and two friends of ours stayed at the admiral the first two weeks in july. We all had a excelent time. The hotel and complex is very good and very clean all the staff are very friendly and helpfull. Good entertainment during the day while soaking up the sun (very hot) The hotel itself is situated in a good postion not to far from the main town where there is plenty of bars an resturants. The only down side to the holiaday was the airport proberley the worst ive ever experienced very cramped and hot (but didnt spoil holiday at all) you will have a good time guaranteed

Vicki C

We have just come back and had a great time 8o) The rooms were basic but OK. The temp was mafting so we were glad we had air conditioning. Big Up to Helen the Manageress for that! (would definitely recommend) although fans are available. Didn't see any mossies, or anybody with mossie bites, but wore Tropical Warfare Mossie spray just in case! The Tropicana next to the hotel was brilliant. Pool tables, Outdoor Cinema, Karoke, Quizzes .. kept the kids happy (14 and 11) ...oh and also lots of wicked cocktails that kept me and him happy! St Nikolas Beach an absolute must. Hope you have a great time!

Marie H

I am staying at the Admirals for 2weeks from 13th August with my husband and 2 children, is there a problem with mossies there?, as i was eaten alive last year in Spain and couldn't go through that again,

Doreen C

We have just returned yesterday from The Admiral Aparthotel and If anyone is needing reassurance regarding these apts then dont worry the apts are spotless and the bins cleaned every day the sheets and towels changed every two/three days. Cooking facilities are good with a kettle and sandwich maker for toasties, we also had an excellent oven and two ring hob. Pots for cooking very good quality. The staff everywhere is very friendly from the excellent reception staff to the cleaners. We were overlooking the pool area and at night it could get a little bit noisy so if you have very young children then it may be a good idea to take a room at the back the view is still excellent. Overall we had a fantastic holiday the resort was great, and the people very friendly and courteous. I am definately going back. Anyone going soon have a great time (I know you will)

Lorraine H

ANYONE GOING TO ARGASSI, DEFINATLY RECOMEND IT? ADMIRAL APARTMENTS VERY CLEAN BUT BASIC, BUT WOULD GO BACK, EVERYBODY SO FREINDLY, ESPECIALLY PETE FROM TIFFANYS, JAY FROM TROPICANA, THE MAN FROM SEASHELLS DOWN ON THE BEACH ( HE DOES LOVELY BACON ROLLS.) WATERSPORTS A MUST VERY GOOD FOR £20, ALSO SMUGGELERS CAVE GREAT TO SWIM IN CLEAR BLUE WATER, PLENTY TO SEE AND DO DEFINATLY BE GOING BACK NEXT YEAR.

Lorraine H

THANKS JAY FROM TROPICANA (7TH JUNE - 21ST JUNE ) WE STAYED AT ADMIRAL AND SEEING YOU EVERY NIGHT AT TOP OF THE HILL MADE ARGASSI FANTASTIC??? FOOD WAS LOVELY U WERE RIGHT, YOUR FREE WINE WAS URGH, BUT WINNING COCKTAIL FROM MOVIE QUIZ, WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD, DEFINATLY BE BACK NEXT YEAR HOPEFULLY, ( WE WERE THE WHITE ONE'S WITH THE REAL TANNED MAN WHO USED TO CATCH U IN THE RED LION)

Barrie R

We found it to be nothing but excellent. Rooms were always kept clean, bins changed every day. The pool area was good but more aimed at kids as there was lots going on. This resulted in me and my girlfriend finding another pool down the road that was a little more quiet for a nice swim. Again at night lots to do for families and especially kids. It could get a little noisy as the balconies were quite close together (you could hear a few conversations!!!!). The location was excellent, very close to all the bars, restaurants, beach etc, but not in the heart of it all. It is probably best to hire a fan if you have a few extra Euros on you, it can get a bit uncomfortable.

Ellen W

thank you gordon that has reassured me. how did u find the money is it a cheap or dear place.

Gordon K

Ellen, my wife & I stayed in the Admiral at the end of May, no rats, no cockroaches, rooms cleaned every day, bedding & towels changed every 2 days, plenty of activities for the children, Victoria the children's entertainer organised daily waterpolo games, various swimming games/competitions, darts & Pool. Absolutely no complaints from us who didn't stray far from the Hotel for the whole week we were in Argassi.

Ellen W

hi my husband, 2 kids and i are staying in the admiral apts on the 11th august 2002. I am now a bit worried after reading some of the information on this page. Please, please some honest reassurance don't mind the noise but cant stand dirty rooms. Can anyone that has just come back from argassi recently tell me how they found it.

Dublin B

cody, we love you man!! stop lookin so sad, we'll be back in september! big up to sam, vikki and "big" danny from olympic! eardy and airdy the terrible twins, big up to the tuna salat and say hello to aristotle for us! keep lethal enforcer warm and make sure you have some change this time. p**vy night pool guy can kiss our asses except he'd enjoy it too much! really clean, no smell of s**t, no rats or roaches, reception was gorgeous, happy hour was the best, cleanin ladies really did their jobs, big up to name that tune and who could forget cash prize bingo and club dancing for afters!! if ian wright is reading this big up to ur bad self sexy boy! lisa, rita, dannys and staceys - we'll be in touch! love yiz lots and lots , dublin babes xxx :0)

Mick H

We stayed there a couple of years ago. The accommodation was OK (large enough, clean room) but the Manager was very agressive (I thought) and the general ambience of the place was a bit "cheesy" - bingo nights and all that. My main complaint (and what spoiled the whole break) was the noise from a local bar. Our room and balcony overlooked a small alley (too small to be called a street) at the end of which was a small open-air bar. Fine during the day but at night?! BOOM BOOM BOOM "REMEBER FOLKS, WE DON'T CLOSE UNTIL YOU STOP BUYING DRINKS!!" was the MC's nightly Mantra, and I mean nightly! Every night!! Until three, four or five in the morning!!! This didn't put us off Zakynthos though, we've been back to Porto Roma several times since.

I suffer terribly from midgie bites. Can anyone tell me if I will have a problem with them here?If the answer is YES, what can I use?

Steve L

We enjoyed it very much and was pleased we chose this one of the sister Hotels,as it catered less for the children, I assume the Captain's would be over run by the little angels in high season. The staff appeared to care and and tried to make your hols fun, thanks to Sam and Ulrica xx and Zebastian.Nice rooms, with a great view on the upper floors.

Sarah B

hi! There is entertainment at the admiral during the day including, pool games, darts etc. They are very geared up for the kiddies at this place and the bar is open inside and there is also a snack room with pool table. Next to the hotel is a long driveway to a bar called tropicana which has regular quiz and music nights. Most of the bars are very accomodating to families. The green frog has lots of entertainment too

Frankie D

I am interested to know if any entertainment is put on during the day or in the evenings at the Admiral. Secondly I have two children (12 & 14) who get quite bored sitting in a pub watching their parents get drunk. Are there any decent pubs that have entertainment suitable for children e.g. quizzes, bingo, pool, arcade games etc.

Sarah B

Are Matt, Rob and Aiden still working at the Factory Club? Best bar in the resort.

Sarah B

Hi barry, we went last june and loved it. we were in studios across from main centre where it was always lively and lots to do. the only complaint was the smell from the drains. NO RATS, VERY CLEAN - SO IGNORE EARLIER COMMENTS. the factory is a great bar and oasis is cool too. green frog is excellent for food. were off again on 23rd june, so might catch up with you there. rest assured, this hotel is fine!!

Barrie R

Hi, me and my girlfriend are visiting in late June and obviously I am a bit worried about some of the comments made. Can anyone give he the lowdown on this accomodation and also some top tips for places we could go for meals and nightlife.I would also specifically like to know about any beaches that are top quality, and easly accessable form Argassi. Thanks all for your help.

Sharon L

Just been reading that a few people are wanting info on the admiral and I have been going there for the past 4 years so I hope the following will be of use to anyone wanting to know what it is like and I am been honest here: The rooms are very basic but clean, in the room you will find a fridge, kettle, and sarnie toaster we had a maid visit daily and had fresh towels and bedding every other day (including SUNDAY)so no complaints there. If you do not hire a fan and have the balcany door open you will get the noise from the hotel bar, kids who hang around the pool from 1am onwards while parents getting tanked up in the bar, other guests going back to there rooms while slaming every door in sight and shouting at each other, and the coaches that tram up and down the road day and night - I do recommend a fan but be carefull, I suffer from a blocked nose everytime I go, and my Doctor has informed me that it is because of the fan so I never go without SUDAFED which I only have to take for a few days and then I am fine (good price for fan hire in hotel). We always go last week in June for 2 weeks and when ever we have gone the weather has been in the 100's, the year before last we had a heat wave and it got to 130's which was far too hot for a lot of the GREEK'S never mind the holiday makers. There is only myself and my partner (we have no kids) but I must say I am glad I don't as there is no Kids club and only a very small play area and a pool table for them, they do try and get pool games going if they can get enough people to join in but JASON is fantastic, very nice and friendly, he was on holiday there last year and decided to stay so if anyone does go and he is there please let me know as I want to know if he will be there this year. I visit this web site every week so if any one wants to know anything else from a honest point of view I will supply what information I can.

Dont' believe any bad comments - the apartments are basic but clean and the staff very friendly - Argassi is a lovely friendly place - plenty to do for all ages. My son (James) fell in love with the place last October and is returning to work for the summer at the Tropicana Bar just below the Admirals Apartments - if you come across him - do let me know what he's up too!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you have a great holiday - Zante really is a lovely place - ideal for your first holiday abroad. Very safe - very friendly. Enjoy!!!

WE WILL BE VISITING THE ADMIRAL APARTHOTEL ARGASSI IN JUNE AND WHAT COMMENTS WE HAVE READ SO FAR WE JUST CANT WAIT TO GET THERE. IF ANY ONE CAN TELL US THE BEST PLACES TO GO . GREAT!

Heather N

I think the Admiral apartments was a brilliant place for a holiday and i will also be going back in a few months. The apartments were very clean and all the staff was friendly and nice to talk to.The apartments are a 5 minute walk from the beach that had watersports.I enjoyed every minute of my holiday and it was a sad time when i had to come home i reccomend these apartments to anyone who wants a clean and friendly holiday.

Carl R

My wife, 16 yearold daughter, her boy friend, and myself, went to the Admiral in July of last year (2001, The airport on the way in was terrible, cramped, and not to clean. From then on we had two fantastic weeks, food was superb, accomodation, good, very clean, all the bar staff were friendly except the head one, who found it very difficult to smile, but Mike and Karid the two who organised the entertainment were brilliant, Kids were a little noisey, Definately go back again. This year we are going to Cyprus, Protrus Adelais Hotel & Appartments, never been there before, if anyone can give us some info, it would be very much appreciated

Heather G

JUST RETURNED YESTERDAY - GREAT PLACE - GOOD TIME HAD BY ALL IN OUR PARTY - YOUNG CHILDREN - TEEENAGERS (GOOD LOCAL ENTERTAINMENT - ENABLED US TO KEEP AN EYE ON THEM!!!) AND ADULTS - GREAT TIME TO GO =- QUIET DUE TO END OF SEASON - PLENTY OF SUNBEDS - PLENTY OF SUN - FEW PEOPLE IN THE POOL. APARTMENTS BASIC BUT CLEAN - STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND KEEN TO ENSURE WE HAD A GOOD TIME. WE WOULD DEFINATELY GO BACK. ALL THAT WORRY ABOUT NOTHING - SO DON'T BELIEVE THE BAD THINGS - THE PLACE IS GREAT.

Mike P

Have just come back from The Admirals Aparthotel.Really pleased with the cleanliness of entire facilities.Staff always friendly and willing to help.Food at The Captains especially good and worth a try.Jason who organised pool games during the day, and entertainer at night really good fun- enjoyed by myself ,wife, kids and friends.*** WILL BE BACK *** p.s...If all guests showed a little consideration any noise wouldnt be a problem.

Allen G

If,like my wife and myself, you look for a quiet "off-season" holiday, you should avoid the Admiral-the sister hotel, the Captains, looks much quieter. Five of us (all adults) chose to go on the 20/09/01 because we thought all the school kids would be back in school.,but received a nasty surprise when we got there to find loads of school-kids (some quite old),almost all extremely noisy and very bafdly-behaved. We were in room 412 and 414 in the annexe. The rooms are good, the cleaners are fantastic, but the level of noise is unacceptable. Where were the parents of the 11-12 year olds hanging around the pool up to 2 or 3 int eh morning (on one occasion breaking bottles!)? If you have the misfortune to be in one of the rooms facing the pool/bar (another sourcqw of noise)take a tip: rent a fan (700 Drachmas pernight) and close BOTH doors, that way the yob-noise level is completely obviated. I would go to Argassi again, but never again to the Admiral.

Heather G

We are heading here on 18th October - have recently been reassured by comments of recent visitors. Hope to make contact with anyone else who accesses this site - see you there!!! Look for a party of 12 - Heather - Tony - Shaun - Dawn - Doreen & Pete. Plus 4 teenagers (yeeuk!!!)--(only kiddin') and 2 little ones.

Lezlee B

We have just returned from the Admirals and what a nice surprise and a wonderful holiday - well done DIRECT HOLIDAYS and Becky our Rep. We stayed in 108 so there was no sign of the "rats" or "Sewage" which has been mentioned by previous visitors. The Pool was cleaned every day and the maids kept our apartment clean and tidy(no mean feat with 2 teenagers in the accommodation). Gerti kept us all entertained with quizzes and karaoke and the bar stayed open until the last person left - normally on their hands and knees due to the generous measures of alcohol. If I had to mention one thing that spoiled the holiday- it would have to be the airport(or shed). Trying to move nearly 5,000 people through a small airport all at the same time was ridiculous. People should be warned that they will have to wait in stifling heat to pick up their luggage when they arrive and could spend at least 1.5 hours waiting for it to be offloaded. The return journey doesn't get any better. All in all an excellant holiday - but we won't return simply because of the horrific airport. Never mind perhaps another one of the Greek islands will tempt us next year.

Neil F

We stayed in annexe appt 410. appt clean but basic. Pool fine. Location excellent. We had to keep window closed at night due to noise but hired a fan for 700dr per day.

Michelle M

My Friend and Myself went to Argassi on the 13th August 2001. We had been the year before and loved it, so we returned this year. We had room 106, it was tidy, clean and stayed that way throughout the holiday. The pool unfortunatly did become a little dirty towards the end of the holiday, but we found another pool to use. The entertainment wasn't very good, although they did try, we spent most of the time at the Tropicana Bar just round the corned from the hotel. The holtel is very family orientated, so didn't really suit my friend and myself who are both 17, so there was a lot of small children running around the pool area. Otherwise it was a really good holiday, Tom our rep from Thomson was a great help to us, and kept an eye on us. I do reccomend this hotel to anyone visiting Argassi.

Liz H

We went on the 5th of july and stopped in the Admirals. We found it extremley clean, tidy and friendly. It was the first time we had been to Greece and Would definatly stop here again. I would say it was the best hotel in the resort and would recommend it to anybody.

Ron G

we have just returned home (31.8.01) the admiral in the main was fine.maids change beds and towels daily.reception during the day was excellent.bar staff unfriendly."chef" in pool bar was excellent and fine value if you fancy a touch of basic english grub.pool was cleaned daily.pool does get very busy and if your are not at a sunbed by 0830 you might not get one.entertainment was ok.mike will have you smiling as he takes the mick out of english accents.evening entertainment a little repetitive.we had room 223 overlooking pool, noisy yes but after midnight noise goes indoors so not too bad, worst noise from inconsiderate holiday makers.rooms too hot , stifling, sweaty, fans used by most and many folk came down with colds and throat infections (down to the fans ??)had a late checkout room (at the back room 230) people dont want these apparently but they have airconditioning, they are bigger, better loos and showers, they do overlook the noisy tropicana club but good double glazing cuts the noise down.we would rather have had this "unpopular room" in general pleasant place to stay..just some of staff are ignorant..and if you have a daughter aged between 12 and 19 be aware very suggestive and too familiar and forward.some appear to hang around all evening "looking" and on the prowl so keep your eye on the young ones..no bugs.no rats.a few wasps and bees.in general an ok place but BASIC

Chad R

My apologies for the comment below . I stayed in 119 not 117 but the problems are still their for both rooms. Also I forgot to mention that Direct Holidays informed us upon arival that the beach at Argassi has been Red flag for the last 10 weeks.

Chad R

I had the missfortune to look at this page on my last day of work before my holiday. I was very concerned with the comments about room 119. When we arrived I was given room 117, next door to 119. 1. The room is below the swimming pool and tucked up into the corner, therefore no air at all. 2. The room was very shabby and dirty I would say only fit for a extra few hours on the holiday. 3. The air was so bad and hot that my daughter was physically sick in the night. 4. The pool was cleaned at 8 am without fail every morning thus putting a waterfall over the wall past our balcony. 5. The smell of open draines right outside our balcony was so bad you could not open the door or sit on the balcony. 6. You were facing reception so all you got was noise the whole day and most of the night. 7. When I complained to Helena she told me the 2 rooms were awful. Room 119 is owned by JMC we met the Lady in their at the time and it took her a week of her holiday to get moved. Room 117 is owned by Direct Holidays we were moved after 3 nights after alot of complaining from myself. I plan to take this further with direct holidays for I consider they have ruined 3 days of my annual holiday. Basically throughout my stay the last in gets 117 or 119 if they comlain loud enough they get moved when there is a change over of people generally 3 days minimum. So over your 2 week holiday there is always someone complaining about these two rooms. The whole complex is smashing and we had a very nice stay after we moved, I would recommend Admirals "if" they sorted these 2 rooms out and stopped ruining peoples holidays

Sharon L

Myself and my partner have been visiting Argassi for the past 5 years and always stay at the Admiral, we last stayed there in June 2001 as we always go at the same time each year. I was surprised to read some of the comments but I hope the following will help some people who are about to go. 1) I have never seen any sign of rats if I had I would not ever stay there again. 2) The hotel reception has just been refurbed as well as the pool area and rooms it does look very nice and modern. 3) It can be loud in the early hours of the morning but I found it was other guests on way to there rooms - they have no consideration for other people. 4) The staff are excellent, Gerti and his girlfriend Rachel are brilliant so is Zoe and the rest of the staff. I prefer to stay in the Amex which is opposite the hotel, it is quiter there, but this year we where put in the Hotel, It was ok, but because it was so hot on an evening we had to have the balcony doors open so of course we got noise drifting in. Myself and my partner will be going yet again next year and yes we will be staying at the Admiral as we have never had a problem, they also show films in the reception/bar area on a tea time and saw some films that have not even been released here yet. Believe me - I think is is brilliant but not everyone is the same are they!

Paul H

17 of us went to admiral in july appts werebasic but very clean.Pool was cleaned every day but at times it was very crowded.Staff were very nice and friendly. The appts could be noisy day and night at times. On the whole we found these appts good for a family holiday and good value anybody going will have a great time.

Donna R

Hi everyone,we are going to the Admirals for 2 weeks starting sep 9th 2001.Can anyone whose been there in the last couple of months tell us what it is like.We are worried about some of the things we have been reading. All comments appreciated

John L

neil fairbrother, there is a party of 17 people going from portsmouth on the 6th sept.so we will be having a great time no matter what its like from what i hear its a great place to go

Deb A

I would like to sneak in on the Admiral Aparthotel page to add my comments about the Captains and Commodore aparthotels as they are part of the whole site. Whichever building you stay in, you can use the facilities of the other two. We have just returned from staying in The Captains apartments. When we booked (through Thomas Cook) we said we wanted to be in a quiet location. A member of Thomas Cook staff therefore recommended The Captains - it's at the top of the hill and is in a quieter location than the Admiral, with The Commodore being inbetween. We had to change room when we arrived - we'd asked for a high floor, sea view and got Room 117 (it must be fated, reading a previous message about Room 117 at the Admiral!). Room 117 at The Captains is at the back, on the corner, next to the road where, though infrequently, you can definitely hear cars and those blasted scooters going past all the time. There is no sea view and no privacy. We were moved to Room 224 which had a sea view and no-one above us - great. The resort itself is lively, all the Greek people are very friendly. Biggest portions of food at Tiffanys (say hello to Peter). Cheapest meal was in Zante twon (1500 DRX for taxi)though it's very much a place where the locals live and all the restaurants appear to be at the front near the harbour. You can cash money anywhere - even the hotel just exchanges at the bank rate with no commission charged. We changed rooms for 8000 DRX as our coach was collecting us at 3 am next day and we could stay there until we left - had a free drink in the bar that morning. I believe the resort is getting busier year by year (some friends say last year it was a lot quieter). As far as the Captains is concerned, the way it is built makes sound carry but you get used to it - it's a pity not everyone has consideration for others when returning to their room in the early hours of the morning. As for the Admiral - all the entertainment appears to go on there - the best pool is at the Commodore.

Alyson R

I was worried about my booking to the Admiral because Thompson's had rated it down from 'TTT' to 'TT' and the worst room was shown on the 'TV Travelshop'. However, my worries were no more when my family arrived 31.7.01. The Apartments were about the cleanest we have ever been to. The pool area was cleaned extensively twice a week. The Apartments in general were basic but well equipped with toasty machine, kettle, rings, oven and usual utensils. There were two nightime bbq's a week followed by pool games. Daily games and entertainment for adults and children with prizes, as well as night time entertainment. The lounge area was basic, but very clean, comfortable and fully airconditioned. Airconditioning was the only thing missing from the apartments, but you could hire fans from recept for 700 DRX/day. It was located at the bottom end of the hill. Argassi itself is a small resort, but the restaurants and bars are fine. For those looking for a really lively resort, Laganas is the place to stay, which is only a 15 minute taxi ride. It was one of the few Apartments that I would definitely go back to.

Steve J

The Admiral Apartments are brilliant and have good facilities. The pool and sunbeds are always packed so you should use the Commodore/Captains pools. The ground floor apartments aren't very good because of the open drains outside the balconies. That is the only negative thing about the apartments.

Neil F

I've just booked for 9/9/01 having read some of the comments I'm now worried. Help and reassurance please. My wife will go crackers if see reads too much negativity.

Me

Is there Money changing facilities in the Hotel/ Resort

V H

We've just returned from Zante and the Admiral Apartments. We thought the accommodation was OK although we had our doubts about staying there after some of the comments we read. We had an appartment at the back, which was a little quieter. It's in a good location too, with easy access to the amenities within the resort. We are seriously thinking about going back there next year, so it can't have been that bad!!

Natalie L

I went to argassi last year and im going back this year(with my friend who also wrote on this page)I am a train travel agent and I CAN HONSTALY SAY THAT THERE R NO RATS OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT!!!!!If there was i wouldnt of stayed there or i wouldnt be going back this year!!!Its a lovely place to stay basic rooms but thats all you need because theres lots of things to do t keep you out of the rooms!!!

Steve J

From a kids point of view : the pool was always packed and the facilities wasn't very good. The best hotels out of the 3 was the Commodore and Captain's. I chose these coz the pool was always empty and the facilities was brilliant. I only went in the Admiral pool ONCE and the Commodore/Captain's pool whenever I could. The pools at Commodore/Captains are on two levels. Two of these pools are on the top floor while the third is below it. The best bars are Tropicana, Oasis,Beer Academy and Red Lion. We went to one restaurant Tiffany's and after that the bloke advertising it kept harassing us to go there. Me and my family got a temporary room until our flight at 6 AM the next morning. This room was a basement terrace with the drains right outside the balcony. When it got to the hottest time of the day we couldn't go out onto the balcony coz of the smell from the drains.

Michelle M

I went to Argassi, and stayed at the Admiral last August with my friend and her parents, and we enjoyed our selves sooo much that we are going again this year. I fly out 13th August 2001. Last year, the hotel was wonderful, just what we wamted. I do admit, it did get a little noisy with the road but other than that there was nothing to complain about! The entertainment in the hotel was just fantastic, Matt did i wonderful job, an i can only hope he is there again this year, if he is then can anyone let me know my e-mail is seachelle0383@hotmail.com. George the bar man is such a laugh, and the hotel staff were so nice to us all. it was truly a memorbale holiday, and i hope it will be the same again this year. The hotel is in a great situation, as the bars and restaurants are just down the road, not far at al, and the excursions are so much fun! But i do suggest you go with your Tour Operator. Everyone have a great holiday, and if anyone is there the same time as me, then do say hi, i will be the drunk one with my drunk friend!! Michelle Marshall

Emma B

Okay where do I start? Arrived at 7am having not had any sleep. As soon as we were allocated our room , I took one look at the supposed balcony (which was in fact a basement terrace) and walked out again. Quite possibly we had the worst room in the Admiral, Room 117. Don't take this room! There was an open drain running outside our room, and the cleaners woke us up at about 7am - 8am, with the rubbish they were pouring into this open drain. There was absolutely no way we could eat our breakfast on the balcony because of the smell and the fact that some of the water from the drain used to run along our wall. So, I complained straight away and was told the earliest they could move us in 2 nights time. So for the next two days were took in the Admiral. Yes I agree with the people that have said that the Admiral was quite noisey, but being in a young couple (both 21) we didn't mind at all. The only reason it was quite noisey, I think because they're were more young people in the Admiral compared with the more family feel in the Commadore and Captains. The pool was okay, and the surroundings were fine. However, once we had stayed there for two nights, we were then promptly upgraded to the Commadore hotel!! We could not praise the Commadore and Captains highly enough. Our new room, had beautiful views of Zante town, the sea, and the three swimming pools we had the choice of. It was quite possibly the best room in the Commadore and nicer that quite a few of the rooms in the Captains! We were completely chuffed with the upgrade and that's when our holiday really started. The facilities in the Commadore and Captains are much better than the Admiral, however, the nightlife at the Admiral was much better than the quiet non-existent night life at the Commadore and Captains. However the resort of Argassi is waiting to be explored so I can honestly say we didn't spend much time at all on the complex at night. Also would definately recommend having the hotel food, it works out about £5 per person for three courses!! And it tastes lovely. So, if you get room 117 in the Admiral don't stand for it!! I didn't and got beautiful room in place of the hole we were given in the beginning.

John H

the Admiral apts.are very nice but extreamly noisey, people are in the bar drinking and being a loud until 5.00am!!! if you want a more peaceful time opt for the commadore or captins which have more of a family feel. Aggarsi is a heavily commecial resort ideal for the MAGALUF croud!!! That said you can find many nice places in this resort, i can highly reccomend Blue'n'Blue bar just behind the captins hotel (excellent!!) i could not fault the greek people, probobly the most friendly in europe, it's a pity about the brits though in perticuler those from the north!! they bring down the tone of otherwise nice apartments

Phil W

came back a week ago....absolutly fantantastic...thanks to all the staff for a great holiday...a tip to everyone waiting to go...don,t miss mike,s bingo

Michael H

what is the best place to get ferry information? can you get to olympia under your own steam?

Elaine C

We have also just returned and really enjoyed our holiday. The Admirals Apts are nice clean, basic accomodation ( a palace really to what I had been expecting !!!!) There are quite a lot of children and the pool can be busy at times but they were all under control when we were there. I would reccomend asking for a high floor to get the most peace and quiet and also the views are quite lovely. Everything and everybody is quite laid back, you can opt in or out of what is going There are people cleaning all the time.I personally would opt for somewhere quiter but I had no real complaints what so ever. Sadly a lot of pre-holiday stress for nothing!!!The road alongside the building can be a little noisy sometimes when coaches are dropping people off

Paul D

Me and my wife & 4 kids were there for 2 weeks came back on 18 6 01 had a good time won 5 bottels of champagne karaoke, greek dancing, bingo all kids were going to the factory at night very hot there is a beach fished & snorkeled a lot taxis to zante town only 1500 drac about £2.80 taxis to laganas about £6.00 hired moped £5.60 a day watch out for pot holes ? best food at captains bufet on an evening eat as much as you want for 2500 drac exchange rate over there was about 540 550 no commision my email adress is pauldad @ another.com if you want any more info

Heather G

My parents went out to stay at the Commodore on Thursday. I have just received a phone call from my mum to tell me everything at the Admirals is fine. The pool area has all just finished being renovated as well as the bar, reception etc. She is not sure about what has been done to the apartments but having spoken to people who are staying there no one has any complaints.THERE ARE NO RATS.My mum assures me there is absolutely nothing to worry about. There are quite a lot of kids around. Thankyou, John Holmes. Please feel free to expand your reassuring comments to us frantic holiday makers

John H

The dire comments posted earlier have been investigated by virgin holidays and found to be totally untrue, and are the result of a practicale joker!!!!!!

Rob S

I have just booked a holiday for my girlfriend and myself, last minute deal so I was not personally expecting too much, however if what Stevie said is truet then it sounds awful - Has no one else got anything good to say, if not I will change. Is the Resort of Argassi worth staying for, or should I look at a differen location? Are the appartments at least clean, we have a 4 person appartment which for two people should be ok, should'nt it?

Elaine C

Jo Args, I would also appreciate your comments when you return from your holidays. I leave on sat 9th June, early . If you have time when you return, and before I go it would be great if you could say something nice about these apartments, or warn me if necessary. I am trying to keep hopeful in that this is only person in the worlds comments. I really hope you have a great holiday.

Jo Args If you go on Thursday. When you get back would you leave a message on this page giving us your honest opinion about what is was like. I carnt stop worrying about. I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Elaine C

I have been in contact with my tour operatop (DirectHolidays) and they have written back to say they have investigated my concerns and assure me that the accomodation is of the high standard they would expect and assure me there is no cause for concern.I am aware that Thomson Holidays and JMC also use this hotel, surely they would not continue to do so ifit is awful. However I am still concerned and due to go in three weeks. If anyone has more info please contact me. ElaineDeek@aol.com

My family and I are going to the admiral apartments at the end of June. We too are very worried about the cleanliness of the rooms, and the thought of having rats and mice running about is ruining the run up to our holiday. Has anybody been to these apartments and have anything good to say, which would give us something ot look forward to?

Jo A

WE are going to these appartments for our holidays and I have 2 daughters one 11 and one 5 They are also worried about the rats/mice we have been hearing not verry pleasent rumours from our friends are these roumers true. Also is the pool infestied with insects. From jo Algs

Derek M

We are going to admirals this august and after reading these comments we are a bit concerned especially about rats ! if anyone can give us any more information it would be grateful my email is Derek@chaddo.karoo.co.uk

My aunt, Lesley, stayed there just a few months ago and had the same experience.. she had a flooded room and rats in the kitchen :(:(:(:( The Commodore is a nice place, I would reccomend it highly.. as well as the Diana Palace.. DP has plenty of playing opputunities for your son.. Hope you enoy your holiday!!!!!!!

Elaine C

Steevie Pugh: Are the apartments very noisy? I chose these because there might have been something for my 7yr old son, however I prefer peace and quiet.I am in the process of changing, but my choice is very restricted. Are the commodore apts any better or should I try a studio in Kalamaki.Did you find everyone was of the same feeling during your stay or were you perhaps unlucky? Ever hopeful eh!!!

Steevie P

I have been going to Argassi for 11 years.. The Admiral was ok I suppose, the pool was ok (I met Dave Benson Phillips there!) and the games in the bar were hilarious.. it wasn't too far to walk to the beach and that, but the rooms in general were na.sty..

Elaine C

I would like to know if anyone else has had this experience at these apartments. I am considering cancelling my holiday. Could Steevie Pugh give me more details please thankyou

Steevie P

We stayed at the Admiral a few years back and again last year and it is awful.. sorry to disappoint you :-( The rooms are smelly, untidy and you have sewage collection right outside...

Elaine C

We will be staying at this hotel in JUne and would appreciate any information or tips. Are the apartments nice and clean? I hope they are not too busy or noisey
