Stars Restaurant - (Restaurants in Argassi)

David A

I am heading back to Argassi in just over a week for the first of two visits this year. This time around it's without the kids. We will be heading for the Stars restaurant and look forward to seeing Andreas & Tasia and the guys. The food is consistently good here. One other thing that makes a difference, especially off-season is that they can pull down the shutters when it gets windy or on the very rare occasion that it rains.

Green Frog - (Restaurants in Argassi)

I think some of you may be taking Mike's comments too literally (a tad sensitive perhaps??) To be honest I thought it was amusing - it reminded me of a comment made by a group of Scots guys from Falkirk in Zakynthos airport in May. They were all going on about dying for good Scots food and one of them decided to take orders for a carry out to await them when they arrived home. When he phoned in the order and asked for 24 Chicken Chow Mein's, I'm not sure that the irony of the situation struck home. The Green Frog is always packed, it's not my personal cup of tea but it obviously is for others, so lighten up and live and let live. You're supposed to be going on holiday for Gods sake!

The Family Inn is a brilliant hotel, see www.thefamilyinn.co.uk for more details.

Suggested restaurants are Castaways, Elena's, Marinero & the Stars.

Dino's bar in the Family Inn is just like your local. There are a multitude of bars in Argassi to pick from.

The beach in Argassi is very narrow, most people stick around the pool. However, it's worth a trip to the Vassilikos peninsula (about 15 mins by taxi/car) south of Argassi as there are several brilliant beaches there. Dafni, Porto Roma, Porto Zorro, St Nicholas and Gerakas to name but a few.

I hope you have a brilliant time, we're heading over in four weeks and I am counting the days.

This hotel is for those of us who appreciate good service, good manners and above all true friendship.

The "Family" have all of these in abundance.

Their record speaks for itself - the number of repeat customers gives you a good indication of what a holiday is like here.

I had a great time in May this year and I'm sure I'll have an even better time in July.

Classy hotel with classy people!
