Hillside Studios - (Accommodation in Argassi)

Yvonne R  (06 July 2006)

We stayed at the Hillside for 2 weeks in June.  Before i booked the accomodation i read peoples comments on here and thought 'hey not too bad'.  The apartments themselves are fine, we stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment in Hillside 1, but the hill up to the apartments is another matter altogether.  We had two small children with us and pushing the prams up that hill several times a day was very hard work, we had to make at leat 3 stops on the way up, it really is a steep trek.   So a warning if you are thinking of booking here and have small children, think again.

The owners of the apartments are lovely, very friendly and any problems they were dealt with straight away.  They are very quiet at night, no traffic noise or anything like that, very peaceful.

Double - (Restaurants in Argassi)

After walking past this restaurant several times and thinking that the little man on the front was amusing, we eventually went in for a meal. The waiters were very helpfull getting us into the restaurant as we had two prams, but after we had our meal they just just dont bother with you.  We thought the menu selection was great but when the food arrived you could tell it had been cooked earlier and then reheated in the microwave.  I had chicken slovaki and my partner had a pizza.  In all my years of travelling to Greece i have never had a Slovaki as bad as this one.  My other half said he had tasted better Pizzas from the supermarket.

This place is a case of "do anything to get you in, but once in thats it they are not bothered".  Would definately not recommend!!!

We ate here a couple of times during our stay and can say it is one of the better restaurants in argassi, the staff are very friendly and the plate smashing adds a bit of entertainment when your having a meal, would definatly recomment.
