If you don't want real Greek food but lust after a taste of old England then try this place. It's good for anything with chips but for authentic quisine go elsewhere. This was the most expensive place that we ate put at. Moosakka at 6E and round the corener 4.5E and much better. Still, you pays your money...

Relax Restaurant - (Restaurants in Alykes)

Very reasonably priced. The milkshakes have real cream in them and are very thick and tasty. Service was excellent - sometimes you have to wait for a table but in my view that's a good sign. Pizzas are great, we also had potted veal, stifado, swordfish etc. The Greek stuff is great. Vicky is very friendly. With a fussy daughter, nothing was too much trouble for these people. I would go again.

Koukounaria Hotel - (Accommodation in Alykes)

We had a studio apartment and is was very spacious and clean. The pool was big compared to others that we saw around Alykes. The views are superb and the location is very quiet. However... don't like the fact that you have to pay extra for air con, 3E per day for a kettle, 2Eper day for a toaster, 3E per day for a TV and a £50 deposit against breakages. Also, any other electical equipment must be hired from reception or else you will pay a £10 per item fine!!!!! We weren't aware of any of these extras and we decided to only have the air con. The view of all people that we spoke to was if it is self-catering then these things should be provided. The snack bar prices are very high (1.5E for bottle of water when you can buy 6 for 1.5E at the supermarket). You are not supposed to take your own refreshments poolside. The other problem was that this was the worst place for people reservinbg sun loungers all day even though the rules say that you shouldn't leave towels behind when you leave the poolside. It was worse than the Germans. The reception staff are very friendly and we did like the place really. I just think that there are a few rough edges to be sorted out. We would all like to go back.
