One of the most expensive in Kalamaki, food was ok, although the mushrooms were from a tin, better Chinese in Laganas.

The best meals and V.F.M. we had during our stay. Gets very busy and noisy however.

Michaelos - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

One of the best in Kalamaki and deservedly popular. You will need to book or wait in the bar for a table. Accessed from a narrow dark road with no pavement - a bit risky at night! worth it though, or why not take a taxi for a couple of Euro.

A lovely garden setting on the beach road. They were having a bad night when we went there - the roast potatoes had finished, most of the desert items were unavailable and my wife didn't enjoy her meal, my meal was one of the best I had during my stay.

Further to my previous comment, Mermaids is the best for vegetarians and has the most choice of food in Kalamaki.

I had an excellent spaghetti here with delicious home made sauce. My wife had excellent salmon. The only dissapointment was that the salmon was served with frozen mixed veg.

Laganas Resort - (Resorts in Zante)

Don't go here unless you're aged 18-30 it's full of piss-heads in the night, and there's a fair bit of touting for business. The beach was packed in the day and dirty also.

A good resort for a fairly relaxing holiday for families or couples. Some of the best restaurants and plenty of them. Only one night club, but Laganas is only a short taxi ride away (6 euro) The beach is nice, with safe shallow water. Watch out for nudists on the eastern side.
