Bella Napoli - (Restaurants in Laganas)

Sandra P  (06 October 2002)

We stayed in Kalamaki for two weeks, discovered this place at the end of the first week, and travelled over 5 times in all. Excellent Italian food, and a very good price. Tried both Pasta dishes and Pizza, enjoyed it all. Shame we werent there long enough to try the whole menu!

Zakanthi - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Lovely romantic setting, food is a bit pricey compared to other restaurants, and the menu was not so extensive. However, food was excellent, and it was the only place we were given fresh vegetables with our meal.

Michaelos - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Welcomed like an old friend on each of our 3 visits. Good choice of food, good service, and a reasonable price. Very popular, so get there early, or you can wait for a table in the bar next door.

Stani - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Sandra P

Went here for the Greek night, Sunday. Was a bit more expensive, but the entertainment was worth it! Food was good, and service was good for such a busy night. We didnt book, but there early enough to have a good table to watch the entertainment. It is probably best to book for Sunday night.

Kalamaki Resort - (Resorts in Zante)

Sandra P

We have just got back from 2 weeks at Antonis Apartments. The area is very nice, a good beach, and plenty of places to shop and eat. A great resort if you like a reasonably peaceful time on holiday, although you can make it as peaceful or lively as you like. Plenty of good bars and restaurants, several with live entertainment in the evenings. For a more lively evening, take a taxi to Laganas (5-6 euros.

Mustang Saloon - (Bars in Kalamaki)

Sandra P  (06 October 2002)

Went here for breakfast most mornings of our 2 week stay. Friendly staff, and nice breakfast. Internet access useful. Cant really comment on Hunks and Babes as wasnt looking!!! Nice place to enjoy a drink and watch the world go by in the evenings.

Antonis Apartments - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

Sandra P

We have just returned from a 2 week stay here. We had a 2/3 person room in the "white" block, which was of a good size. Slightly lacking in furniture, but we have been to greek islands before and new what to expect! Kitchen/eating area could be a bit small if you need to cook and eat in the apartment, again typlical of greek accomodation. Only thing we found lacking was the service, the room was serviced only twice a week, and then only to change the sheets and two hand towels provided. Take your own bath towels if you need more than a hand towel after a shower! The pool and bar area were nice, and some form of entertainment was available every night (films, kareoke, live entertainment and quiz night). To be fair we used our apartment only as a base to shower and sleep, so cant comment on the caliber of the entertainment! Good quite place with a nice pool, off the main road, only a short walk to the beach and restaurants.

Merlis Car Hire - (Car Rental in Zante)

Sandra P

Very impressed with Merlis, asked to hire the basic care for 10 days, and, as one wasnt available, we were given a free upgrade to a car with aircon. Julie very helpful, and we were provided with a list of places to visit, very useful, and a map. Car cost approx £17.00 a day, a hugh saving on what we were offered by our travel agent, and what the reps could offer. Thanks alot Merlis, the car was great, no problems, and it greatly contributed to our enjoyment of the island.
