Magic Mushroom - (Bars in Argassi)

Judy & Teri

August 2003 will be our 3rd visit in as many years. Great music great staff, great atmophere. Nikos makes the best cocktails in the world. We have met some really nice people there and the fire display around 11pm is brilliant. Looking forward to seeing everyonr there this year.

Chryssi Akti Hotel - (Accommodation in Argassi)

Judy & Teri

August 2oo3 will be our 3rd visit to this lovely hotel & all it's freindly staff. Antonio at the pool-side bar is a good fella, and Eddy who works round the pool on an afternoon is such a sweet-heart. Luvs the babes and really funny. The hotel is just the right distance from the resort. Just a nice 10min stroll and your in the resort, where it can be quite noisy. So the hotel gives you the choice of peace and quiet if that's what you want. Can't wait.

Blue Caves and Shipwreck Cruise - (Zante Excursions)

Judy & Teri

we were picked up 9.30am and took to our boat, (compared to others, a tug.) the blue caves were o.k but we could'nt get far enough in. the ship wreck is covered in graffitti. the sea at the light-house at the northern tip of the island is very rough and left me puking my a**e up fot the next hour. the food was nothing special either. we were guarenteed to see some of the carretta carretta(logger head turtles) but we did'nt as it was too late in the season (last 2wks in aug). we got dropped off again at 6.40pm, totally worn out, it was a long long day, which i would'nt repeat.

Libra Holidays - (Tour Operators in Zante)

Judy & Teri  (06 May 2003)

The flight out was on time and the flight crew were really friendly. No entertanment on the flights though. The 2wk holiday was excellent ,and our rep was lovely. It is quite possible you could have to queue quite a while to actually get into the arrivals area. If you need the loo, try and go on the plane or hang on, do'nt use the loos at the luggage carousel. On the return journey home was a night-mare, transfer coach was on time and the driver was very friendly, but our flight to Newcastle was delayed 6hrs. In that airport, night-mare! It is a tiny poky hole with poor air-conditioning. The food is crap and it all went in the bin. We were given a sandwich and a drink. The sandwich was dry bread, no spread and one wafer thin piece of ham. There is rumours going about they are supposed to be extending and improving the air-port, those rumours were around in 2000, the first time i went, it was no better in 2001 or 2002. I'm going back Aug 03 i'm keeping my fingers crossed, because i really do dread that part of the holiday. It still has'nt put me off though. The holiday at the other side of the air-port makes it well worth it. Might see ya's there.

The Factory - (Bars in Argassi)

Judy & Teri  (06 May 2003)

The staff are really friendly and you never wait long to be served. Good D.J's play all the good dance music. Usually starts to quiet down around 3am. Really good atmosphere, met some really nice people there, looking forward to going back in Aug 03. Give it a whirl.

Castaways - (Restaurants in Argassi)

Judy & Teri  (06 May 2003)

Enjoyable meal and surroundings. Service was good, quite attentive and the price was reasonable. Because it is above a building on a slight slope, you get a slight breezefrom the sea which makes you all the more comfortable while you eat,(or yes & drink)

Argassi Beach - (Beaches in Zante)

Judy & Teri

Dennis is really friendly & all his staff are really good. We tried the para-gliding, the banana boat and the ringos. Paragliding was fab,u get dunked in the water on the turn around. Banana boat as usual, they are always a laugh. And the ringos, my God. We got bounced about all over the place and i came off them thinking i'd been kicked up the rear by a Clydesdale horse. Over the next day a huge bruise with every colour of the rainbow appeared and it was uncomfortable to move and sit with ease for the next 3-4 days, but they are the biggest laugh, it's what u go on holiday 4.

Chryssi Akti Hotel - (Accommodation in Argassi)

Judy & Teri

We were at the Chryssi Akti last 2 wks in Aug, which was our 3rd visit there. As usual the staff were very obliging and helpful. The cleaner on the second floor is so lovely and friendly. The rooms are basic(as is all of Greece) but they are cleaned every day. The beach is nothing to write home about, but that too is kept clean. The pool side snack bar caters for you very well and has a very varied menu. Jerry and Marina are really friendly and helpful. The hotel is a short walk away from the centre of the resort about 5 mins to the Red Lion bar the first you come to. I hope to be going back Aug 2004, looking forward to seeing every one there.
