Tsilivi Resort - (Resorts in Zante)

Jenny W

This was my first trip to anywhere in Greece, and I'm completely sold on the people, the place and the atmosphere. I travelled between 05 and 16 May 2003. It was pleasantly quiet at the start of the season, so I enjoyed the lack of crowds. I completely agree with Douglas Bragg, a definite must is the Olive Tree, mention my name to Lakis (the owner) and see if he laughs! The main street is busy with lots of people, places to eat and bars, all of them with friendly staff and a more than accommodating attitude, service with a smile always. The weather was perfect (and unusual for the time of year). I travelled with Thomsons and all the Reps were first class. Go on some of their organised trips - they will certainly make it fun, Simply Zante, Turtle Island oh and don't miss the Greek Night! Jupiter Hotel was my home for my holiday, approx 65 rooms accommodating families. Again nothing was too much trouble (just book a room at the back of the building), friendly staff in a pleasant atmosphere. Walking round the main street in the evening - I didn't find it unsafe, I would prefer that to the UK in the evening!!

Your holiday is what you make it - so if you intend to not enjoy it you won't - but it would be a struggle in Tsilivi to have a bad time.

The Olive Tree was our favourite place to eat. Only discovered late in the holiday, but still ate there 3 times! The staff were absolutely lovely Lakis has a good team with Yannis, Paula, Greg etc... A definite must if you want to spoil yourself with traditional Greek quizine.
