Fabulous!! Fabulous! Really! This is the only restaurant who has the confidence to leave out a book for comments. We wrote in it - after reading it first. Everyone that had writen in it was as enthusiastic as we were. All the comments were v.positive.We only ate there for three nights - after really miserable food on 'the strip' Wish we had found it sooner. Reccomend the Greek Dish for Two - The T bone steak - the Stifado - and best chicken salad ever!

who is sarah murihead? seems to be going under several aliases although all of them 'excellent'. feel outdone by all the people that wrote previously - we thought we could contribute something but clearly we can't. found it as exellent as all the other people and we loved pat on the door - only honest person we did meet - 'no bulls**t served here'. pizza - pasta - greek meal for two and zakynthian (is that how you spell it - ) meal for two. blown away. we signed the book too and agree - everyone that wrote in it was very happy. jimmy and sarah.

We enjoyed wonderful meals here. Tried all the meals for two, very filling and tasty. Best Greek food we'd tried anywhere. Service and atmosphere excellent. This restaurant really made our holiday - every night we looked forward to trying something new. We were never disappointed. Wanted to bring the chef home with me. xx Dee Stanley

WONDERFUL - REALLY WONDERFUL TAVERNA. DIDN'T FIND IT UNTIL OUR SECOND WEEK - WISH WE'D FOUND IT BEFORE, WE HAD SEVERAL DISSAPOINTMENTS ELSEWHERE. ONCE WE'D FOUND CASA GREQUE WE FOUND AMBROSIA. ABSOLUTELY PROFFESIONAL AND EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY. BE BACK AGAIN NEXT YEAR FOR MORE.

Agree with Dee Stanley 100%. We found this classy place after four days of rubbish in other places. We really enjoyed the chef specials especially the pepper steak, lemon chicken, fillet Madeira etc. etc. The fishermans dish was D I V I N E. I wanted to bring the chef home too. Service was spot on friendly and cheerful atmosphere. Keep up the good work!

Cannot understand how this place can possibly rate 10/10 - almost physically hauled in to eat mediocre food higher priced than most other places. The waterfalls are attractive and make the place feel cool but everything else was rubbish.

What a marvellous find this was. Came upon it by accident and never ate anywhere else again afterwards. Welcoming staff, nothing too much trouble. Service with a smile. Added our comments to their book of recommendation - and were impressed with what we read there. Truly delicious food - portions more than ample, we had to forgo starters in order to manage the main courses. Would recommend it to any and everyone.

Cannot understand why this place only seems to have 6/10 in justzante ratings. The place is always HEAVING! Full of very happy, satisfied customers. It is the best place we found in 2 weeks. We ate there 10 days out of 14 - range of menu. Greek, souvlaki, salads - oh! heavenly - chef specials and the pizza. Saw someone elses comment about bringing the chef home - my mate offered to sleep with him (this went down like a lead balloon with his wife who waitresses/does the bills. Anyone reading information on this site - this place is a real treat. Made our holiday! Honestly.

Just returned from Zante. Went directly to this place because of all the good stuff we'd read on the internet. All true. Pat welcomed us - and gave us a bit of a guide - how right she was - wonderful sauces - chicken valentine,,,mmmmmmm - lemon chicken - unbelievable - ate it 4 times - baked shrimps - yeah - shrimps 7 inches long - hah - pepper steak and such wonderful soups and salads. Just simply the best. Recommended. 10/10. Complain to Nicos that the service isn't fast enough - he can handle it!

Load of old ****! Desperate to get you in - promise the earth - cannot live up to their claims - nice setting - so what - food very average - we tried some mexican spaghetti thing with bacon. No spices - boring - and we couldn't find the bacon. Service was quite good if you cound being pounced upon when you empty your glass - actually - the drinks were sound! Everything else - mediocre sums it up.

What a load of rubbish. Food looked cheap - well rightly so. Pulled in by the bloke on the door - lost all interest once we were in there. Tasteless crap. Was cheap. Avoid at all costs.

Alan D  (04 August 2003)

Hated it. We liked the friendly girl on the door - she was welcoming without being pushy. This place crams you in - shuffled up on uncomfortable benches with no elbow rood - the heat from the kitchen is sweltering. Food very mediocre and expensive (we discovered when we read the pasta and pizza menu next door) This place is a rip off. Go only as a last resort.

Crocs Bar - (Bars in Laganas)
