Bad Boys Club - (Bars in Laganas)

The L  (29 July 2003)

Wicked tunes but got too sweaty for my liking. Most of the birds in there are only up for dancing and not to be chatted up!

Black n White - (Bars in Laganas)

The L  (29 July 2003)

A bit too far up the strip to check it out but I heard te foam party is amazing. Also, MC Kie and MC Neutrino were there, so defo worth going to if you like your garage!

Cherry Bay - (Bars in Laganas)

The L

I've heard of cheesey music but this really takes the biscuit. Not being funny, but Cotton Eye Joe, C'est la Vie by B*Witched and other awful songs were criminal. Quite a few little wallies jumping round with their tops off but a couple of girls dancing on the bar made the place a bit more bearable. Also packed and sweaty. Yeah, few Greeks in there too.

Chevys Bar - (Bars in Laganas)

The L

Great US diner theme. However, the barman didn't have a clue on how to make a cocktail - didn't put ice in the pitchers and the Long Island Ice Tea cocktail was disgusting as it tasted like paintstripper. It got us smashed though after we forced it down ourselves. I don't know whether it was extra cheap vodka or he put too much in but it was rank.

Ghetto Bar - (Bars in Laganas)

The L

Top RnB music but don't tell the girls about George or they'll run off with him!

G Spot - (Bars in Laganas)

The L

We spent AGES waiting for the waitress to get our drinks. She returned after 20-25mins with a beer when I asked for a WKD Blue. Nice bar if not a bit too small.

Michaels Place - (Restaurants in Laganas)

The L  (30 July 2003)

A nice restaurant with a big variety of food to choose from. Was always full when we passed by. My pizza wasn't nice but my mates had Moussaka and another Greek dish and they loved it. Top waiter/tout bloke called Paul who tries to drag you inside the place. He's orginally from South Norwood, South London, so have a chat with him!

Libra Holidays - (Tour Operators in Zante)

The L  (30 July 2003)

The accomdation (Pavlos Studios) was ok-ish, but then you get what you pay for. Luckily, the transfer from the town to the airport is only about 10 mins depending on drop-offs, which was good.

The airport was a complete nightmare. This will DEFINITELY put me off coming here again. We had to wait in the midday sun of more than 40 degrees for over an hour and everyone was getting dehydrated and pissed off with the long wait in the queue. Then when we FINALLY got inside, we found our flight was delayed for two hours. This meant sitting on the floor in the departure lounge for two hours in this dingy airport while other flights came in.

It got to the point where there was no room to move and I'm surprised there wasn't a riot. If there was ever a fire, a lot of people would have been killed. There was nobody to complain to and even if you found them, it's take you 20 minutes of barguing people out of the way to reach the exit. There's no way this would happen in England as it was a serious breach of health and safety.

We did fly back on a Sunday, so maybe that was a bad day. But they shouldn't treat people like animals - we were herded around like catle - it was a disgrace.

We flew on Excel Airways and here, it's a case of cram as many seats in as possible. The seats were so uncomfortable and it was impossible to sleep. The food was nice and film and staff good but my ankle swelled up due to lack of circulation as there was zero leg-room! The whole airport experience has put me of going back there ever again.
