Just returned from Alikanas Beach Village - fantastic place with 3x swimming pools and the sea right at your feet. 10/10 for the DIONISOS Taverna and the MEDUSSA - our two favourite restaurants. We hired a car for 3 days [AVIS]. Try to visit Dimitri at "Simply Greek" a shop selling hand made crafts etc in ANAFONITRIA near to the ship wreck [2km]. To our new Greek friends whom we met over there, "Thanks and Yamas".

We ate here on our first night (11th September 2003). Found the staff polite and friendly. Food was good - chicken keftedes, a nice chunky chicken in a herby stew with veg. Coke was served in iced glasses. We only ate here once as we liked to explore the others in the village. We will eat here again next time, but again not every day.
