Laura, just read your comment. You and your mates will have an excellent time in June. It will be really busy and all the bars will be packed. The weather should be hot in June, so no problems getting a tan. They don't have an age limit on alcohol so you will easily get served. Good places to go are: Zeros which is half way up the main strip (very tasty barmen) and Bad Boys which is at the beach end of the strip (good r'n'b music, and excellent atmosphere) but to be honest you will have a good time in most of the bars. A few good restaurants are Paradise (next to Bad Boys), Greek Island (on the beach and serves the best food ever) and the Bee Garden (on the main strip). Ive been to Zante about 10 times so if you need any other info, just shout!

Laura, the price of drinks etc have gone up a bit since its changed to Euros but its still not too bad, the most expensive bars charge about the same as here. Keep your eye out for happy hour in alot of the bars, buy 1 get 1 free. You will find that the drinks are more expensive in Zeros and the bars in the centre of the strip as they are the most popular but the ones that are a bit further up are cheaper sometimes by 2 euros a drink. I normally take £350 for a week but I pay about £80 for my accommodation out of that and normally I will still end up bringing money home. If you want to keep the rounds down, stay away from Smirnoff Ice (5 Euros) and Jack Daniels (about 8 Euros) as these are imported in, and are way too expensive. If there are a group of you, you will get lots of free shots especially if you flirt lots, the barman love to give girls free drinks! Very jealous that you have already booked up, hope you have a whale of a time and if you think of anything else let me know.

Ive been going to Laganas for years and guarantee you will have a fab time in Bad Boys. The music and the barmen are great!!!

Isn't this site great, I love reading all the comments on George. Katie you are a top chick, your comments made me laugh. George does read this site and loves the fact that he is centre of attention. He's a bit of an old tart but is generally a nice bloke. Ive known the Zeros boys for years and have managed to resist Georges charms but we've gotta give the guy his due, he is great to look at over the bar and we know that loads of girls will fall for his charms again this year! Do you think he will ever be tamed or will he still be behind the bar of Zeros when he is old and grey?

Hi Katie, how did I resist George? I don't really know, it was hard, who could resist those big puppy dog eyes? I think like GW I wised up and realised very early on that George was a player. Also when I first went out there George had a bit of competition in the form of Angelo, Im sure GW will back me up on this.

Im hoping to go back this year too probably end of May and think that window shopping is definately the best option. Will you get by without being tempted again? If you can't resist the lure, at least he's gorgeous and not a minger!

Hi Alex, my friend has stayed at Jimmys and raves about it every time I see him, so you should have an excellent time. For places to go, try Zeros and Bad Boys and if you want a good place to eat the Greek Island on the beach has the best food!

Michelle, you will have a great time - Im 26 too and this is my 11th time. The age range is from teens to oap's (although they are not usually out partying on the main strip!), its fantastic - make sure you try Zeros and Bad Boys!!!

Bad Boys is great to go to on a night out, it will be open in October although will probably be winding down for the end of the season. I might be out there in October too, so may see you in there!

I agree with Your Right - stop getting at George, Ive known George for years, and Ive never sucumbed to his charms but know plenty that have. I also know that he loves to read all the comments you write about him on here. So girls, the more you write, the bigger his head gets!

At the end of the day he's just a typical bloke who is young, free and single. We only know all about George's women because its posted all over the internet if it wasn't, we'd be none the wiser. If you like him and you are up for a good time, go for it but don't be naive and think it will be anything more than a holiday fling!

Hey Rich, you can't beat shaking your ass in Bad Boys.  Another good bar is Zeros and you can't go to Zante without trying out Cherry Bay (or Cheesy Bay as its usually known!).  You'll have a fab time, I'm going back in 5 weeks and can't wait!

Kel, it should be starting to get busy towards the end of May/beginning of June.  Should also be quite warm, at least 20+ degrees.  Hope that helps!

Hey Carly, yep I've stayed at the Alexander - probably about 4 years ago now!  It wasn't the best hotel when we stayed there, but hopefully it may have improved since we went.  Anyway, its only about 10 mins from the beach and you'll only be sleeping there so it shouldn't be too bad!  While you are there, definately make sure you give Zeros a visit - the barman are v. pleasing on the eye!

Hey Ben, no you don't have to pay to get in Zeros or any of the clubs in Lags!  Zeros in one of the best! 

Hey Angela, saw your comment about Angelo . . . you must be one of the old gang, no one seems to know who Angelo is these days.  He doesn't work behind the bar any more, tends to sit around out the front.  Still single as far as I know but still pleasing on the eye!   You out in Zante this year?

Gavin, I stayed at the Hotel Alexander probably about 5 years ago and unfortunately it wasn't the greatest place I've ever stayed, hopefully it may have improved by now.  One good thing tho - it is quite close to the main strip so not too far to stagger at the end of the night!

Jordan, we are out there the same time as you.  You'll have a wicked time, this is our 14th time out there.  Loads of clubs and bars, make sure you visit Zeros and Cherry Bay as well as Bad Boys.

Hey a g, forgot we posted that comment, it was a while ago!  We've been out twice this year, had a wicked time - where did you used to work?  Angelo is still as lovely as ever, my friend has a very soft spot for him  although he's not really working behind the bar that much now.  Zeros is still going great, in fact it seems to get better each year!

Hey a g, we are from sunny Hampshire.  Haven't ever worked out there but have been out there on hols about 15 times, first time was 1999.  Spent a few night's in Chello's with our worker mates a few years ago but it doesn't seem to be the place to go anymore.  We are going back next year, probably June and September - what about you?

Drinks are normally about the same price as the UK, although most bars do have a happy hour (2 for 1) at some point, usually early in the evening. 

We recently stayed at these studios but only for a night.  We went on 4th September with a baby, and although in the brochure this is recommended as a quiet hotel, I'm afraid it wasn't and we asked to move.  We'd asked for a ground floor room but were put on the 2nd floor, which wasn't easy with a pushchair.  Unfortunately the 2nd floor was full of 18-20 year olds and we were kept up all night until 6:30am (although apparently this hotel has a strict quiet time from midnight - 8am, which didn't seem the case when we were there). 

Was so sorry to hear the news about Steve, our thoughts are with all the family and staff.  He was a fantastic guy with a heart of gold and helped me out loads last year when I came to stay with my mum and the baby!  We've stayed with them all at the Island for many years and the place just won't be the same without him.  Rest in peace Steve, we'll miss you!
