Savoy Bar - (Bars in Kalamaki)

Sandra P  (03 April 2004)

Off to kalamaki for our 4th visit in july, don't remeber this bar.Directions please!

Buon Amici - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Sandra P

Sorry Buon Amici, one out of three ain't good. We had one excellent meal last year, followed by one mediocre one on our last night. We wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt this year following a rave review from a couple we met. We had 2 Alfredo with penne which was bland and tastless with not a lot of ham or mushroom, 1 Lasagne, which consisted of 2 layers of pasta, spot the mince meat and a bucket of salt..awful!! My son had an Hawiian Pizza which he quite enjoyed. We will return to Kalamaki but never to Buon Amici the quality of food is just not consistent.

Cronulla Bar - (Bars in Kalamaki)

Sandra P

The food has improved here over the last year. We ate here numerous lunchtimes, and the food was always very fresh and tasty. I can recommend the Tuna Premier, my personal favourite. Egg & bacon barms, burgers and chips all get a big thumbs up. The service as ever was first class, very friendly and the tables were cleaned and cleared promptly.

Dias - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Sandra P

Service was quick and friendly. The food was very good, can't quite remember what we had but we will definately go again! Obviously we chose to sit on the outside as it was a very warm evening, if you do the same be aware of the traffic noise as this is one of the main airport roads, with lorries and coaches passing on a regular basis. Try not to let this put you off as it is well worth a visit.

Escape - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Sandra P

Good service, really cheap prices and the foods not bad either. We had sirloin steak not very thick, but very tasty. We had a bottle of red wine which was disgusting, decided to tell the waiter and he changed it for a different wine, with no hesitation. He was very apologetic, I felt a bit guilty as the price of the meal was so cheap. Worth a visit, a few Greeks were eating here which speaks volumes.

Hong Kong - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Sandra P  (26 July 2004)

Excellent food and service. It may not be the cheapest you eat in Kalamaki but it is always consistently good, regardless of how busy it is. 4 starters (bbq spare ribs which are the best I have tasted),4 main courses with egg fried rice, 2 rounds of drinks and a bottle of wine for approx 75 euro. We have eaten here every year for the last 4 years, always the same quality you will not be disappointed.

Michaelos - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Sandra P

Quite a trek, we cheated and went in the car, but it is well worth it.Food is very good, service very friendly and the atmosphere is very Greek. Loved it.

Pandesia - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Sandra P

Again not very consistent. First meal was very good, the second visit it was very busy and the service and food quality suffered. One of the waiters especially is very abrupt, and makes you feel you are wasting his time.

Paolo - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Sandra P

Was a bit disappointed with this one after having good meals here previously. My husband had a mixed grill which comprised of half a sausage, a tiny chop, a chickenless drumstick and not much else. The rice and carrots on all our meals were stone cold.

Spaghetomania - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Sandra P  (26 July 2004)

Went to the BBQ steak place on our last night. Good atmosphere, friendly service and excellent food. We all had sirloin steak with either pepper or bbq sauce, both very tasty, very filling. Wish we hadn't left it till the last night because we would definately have gone back for more.

Cave Bar - (Bars in Kalamaki)

Sandra P

Lovely bar, nice atmosphere, nice setting but what do you have to do to get another round in. Like most bars they offer a table service, but whats the point of this if the waiting staff rarely bother to check if you want more drinks? We had one drink but got fed up of waiting, so we left.

Cronulla Bar - (Bars in Kalamaki)

Sandra P

Very friendly bar, not bad prices, loved their large draught Mythos in iced glass, in fact wish I was there right now.

Oasis Bar - (Bars in Kalamaki)

Sandra P

This is my favourite chill out bar, nice setting, we tried to go in most nights for a little night cap. The guys who own Oasis are really genuine, nice people, and always remember you from previous visits. Highly recommended.

Buon Amici - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Sandra P

Just as i said the food is not consistent. I wish my Alfredo was like yours, unfortunately it wasn't. We have actually eaten in most places in Kalamaki. My review is an honest opinion of the food we had that night, sorry if you don't agree, but you didn't have to eat it!

Water Village - (Places to Visit in Zante)

Sandra P

We went in a hire car, and the signposts were non existant. Took us quite a while and a few wrong turns to get there. To be honest I was pleasantly surprised with the water park. Not that many slides, don't understand the building site comments, we found it to be not bad value for money. The facilities were spotlessly clean, the food was ok and reasonably priced. The lifeguards were on the ball. Overall a good day out for 17euro each (10 if you go after 2.30pm).

Plus Soda - (Bars in Kalamaki)

Sandra P  (31 July 2004)

Loved Plus Soda, all the staff work so hard and are so friendly. Didn't go indoors, stayed in the chill out area still has good atmosphere. Good music, especially when Chris was there. I had sex on the beach every night, not bad for an oldie!, caters for all age groups, everyone made to feel really welcome. Definately my favourite bar in Kalamaki.

Cronulla Hotel - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

Sandra P

Our third visit to Cronulla. Rooms would benefit from air conditioning, but other than that it is very difficult to fault Cronulla. Lovely family, great pool with plenty sunbeds, no matter what time you go to the pool. Excellent value for money. Would recommend to anyone.

St Nicholas Beach - (Beaches in Zante)

Sandra P

Gorgeous beach. Good range of water sports. My son went on the rings(25 euro for 2 people). I went into the speed boat and was able to take some really good photos. Reasonably priced sunbeds, 8euro for 2 beds with sun shade. They even serve drinks and food direct to your sunbed.

Kalamaki Resort - (Resorts in Zante)

Sandra P

Love Kalamaki, although I wouldn't like to see it grow much more. The old part of Kalamaki, was very quiet, not many people seem to venture past the taxi rank, the bars down there were virtually empty, which is a pity.
