Palmyra Hotel - (Accommodation in Argassi)

Sara D

Just got back after 2 lovely weeks at the Palymra. Great hotel - you couldn't fault it. The only possible complaint you could have would be that the pool is open to non-residents - but there were always enough sunbeds. The hotel has been refurbished this year and is one of the best we have stayed at on the Greek Islands. Rooms are air-conditioned in July & August and the breakfasts are good. The hotel is ideally situated just off the main street, but is still quiet in the evening.

The brand new pool bar & restaurant run by Nikos (& Spiros) serves the best food in Argassi - they are both really helpful & friendly.

All in all 10 out of 10!!

Courser - (Restaurants in Argassi)

Sara D  (16 July 2004)

This is by far the best chinese in Argassi - well it is the only Chinese restaurant that we found - the rest served 'Indian & Chinese'?!

The service is quick and you get loads of food which was freshly cooked.

Would recommend

Afrodite - (Restaurants in Argassi)

Sara D  (16 July 2004)

We ate here on the first night of our holiday - mainly because we were too tired to turn down the pleas of the PR man!!

The food is OK but very overpriced.

The roofgarden is lovely and probably makes the restaurant well worth a visit.

Green Frog - (Restaurants in Argassi)

What can I say - 10/10!!

Papillon - (Restaurants in Argassi)

Good restaurant with friendly staff. Food was good. 8/10

Piccadilly - (Restaurants in Argassi)

Really nice restaurant with a lovely garden & water feature. Food is excellent - probably the best italian restaurant in ARgassi.

We ate here twice and were never disappointed.

10/10

Poseidon (old) - (Restaurants in Argassi)

Sara D  (19 July 2004)

Food was OK but the service was really slow. We waited 20 minutes for our bill - the restaurant wasn't even half-full!!

Also the hassle from the PR guy on the door never stopped - even once we had eaten there!

Stars Restaurant - (Restaurants in Argassi)

Sara D

Really nice, friendly restaurant. Excellent food & excellent service.

Venetsiana - (Restaurants in Argassi)

Sara D  (19 July 2004)

This was a really nice restaurant and being set-back from the main road was a plus. The food was good and so was the service. We only ate there once during our stay - but wish we had ate there more!

Argassi Resort - (Resorts in Zante)

Sara D

My boyfriend and I got back from Argassi last week. We spent 2 weeks at the Palmyra Hotel. We would recommend the hotel to anyone and the new pool bar/restaurant (best food in Argassi) - hi to Nikos & Spiros.

Argassi is a resort for families & couples - don't expect nightclubs. The beer academy is a good place to spend the evening (pool tables, music, football etc.) and the Magic Mushroom is good.

The beach in argassi was a real let down - it is only about 2 metres deep and you have to make your way over lots of shingle & stone to get into the sea!

On the whole we would recommend Argassi to anyone!

Beer Academy - (Bars in Argassi)

Sara D

Just got back after 2 weeks in Argassi - or should I say in the Beer Academy. This is the best bar in Argassi for entertainment value. Lots of pool tables, best cocktails, TV's etc.

Watched Greece win EURO 2004 here - mad celebrations followed!
