Mermaids - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Lucy P  (06 August 2004)

Just got back from Kalamaki 2days ago and it was the best holiday ever.
We had breakfast there a couple of times and it was great ... evenings were better in my opinion though. Staff worked terribly hard... nothing is too much trouble for them.
Had a mushroom wrap one night... I'd say that was my best meal there. It was lovely.
I'll raise my hat to Con ... he does an excellent job as do all his staff.
Keep up the good work and hope to see you all again next year.

Yannis, the bar guy... what gorgeous eyes.
He came across as a bit of a big head, but nevertheless he was lovely.
By the way, do you fling ice cubes at everyone ?!?

Plus Soda - (Bars in Kalamaki)

Louisa   (06 August 2004)

Plus Soda was fantastic.
It is absolutely fab.. everyone there does there hardest to please everyone.
One of the girls, Nikki as I found out her name was, was lovely.. a little star. spoke to anyone, she just wanted to make everyone feel welcome. Keep up the good work.
Yiannas, you probably don't remember me, but my gosh, you are fit!!!
Hope to be there next year, in the meantime, everyone keep up the good work... you're all little stars!!! XXXX

Vanessa Hotel - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

Louisa

Oh.My.God.
I read through all of the comments here ... the Brummie guy was NOT mentioned once unless his name is Dimitris or something which I highly doubt. HE was the star for us... my mum, dad and sister. He spoke to us and made us feel very welcome when we used the bar at night. By far, one of the best places for chill out... Uh, what is his name ?!?!
Too shy to ask him!!!
Great place... all of you do a fab job!!!

July - (Best Time to Visit)

Louisa

we went from 22nd july 'til 4th august and it was HOT'~* Too hot sometimes, just make sure you stay somewhere with a pool. Definately get a tan though..

Guru - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Louisa   (06 August 2004)

We went here, I think, our second night.
The four of us each ordered a different curry, but upon trying each others, realised they all tasted the same.
If you're flash with your cash, go here, it was 75euros for a meal for four of us, no starters either, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're strapped for cash.
Needless to say, we chose somewhere else for the rest of our stay and I can honestly say I would never go back there...
I wouldn't eat there again if it were the last restaraunt in Kalamaki!!!!!
The waiters seemed friendly enough though!

Fantastic value for money, gorgeous food!

Manos Holidays - (Tour Operators in Zante)

Louisa   (07 August 2004)

Manos were okay.
I probably wouldn't travel with them again, though.
Toni, our rep, says she would have been there every day in case of any probs, we never saw her until the day we left.
Which, understandably, we knew she would have a lot of other work, etc, but why say it ?!?
Overall it was okay, though.
