Good for kids, you can use any of the hotel pools - some are a wee bit deep si this gives you a choice for the kids. Bring some mossie spray and one of those plug in expellers for the kids room - if hiring a car make sure its got A/C - I'm in Kalamaki at he mo, want any specific info, just ask and I'll give you my email address.

Go to the home page on this website and type the hotel name into the search function on the top left side an it will take you to all the comments left on the site about the hotel, location etc. You will find the whole resort is walkable in 10 minutes and there are plenty of restuarants offering very good value. You can negotiate will taxi drivers for fares but it should cost no more than 10 Euros max from the Airport (they run 24-7). Car hire is now regulated such there is no difference between most companies - they can be hired at the airport or at kalamaki . There are loads of them along the main street renting push bikes, scooters, cars and jeeps . I rented a 5 seater with belts and A/C (essential) Suzuki for 3 days for 105 euros. Driving to the north of the island over the mountain roads can be scary if you have vertigo. Its a quiet resort and people are welcome to use any pool in any hotel. If you want a late night in a noiser spot, Laganas is 3km away by taxi approx 7E.There is a waterpark just outside Zante town which the tour companies charge 25E for . Its small so if you go after 2.30pm in the afternoon you will pay half price (closes at 6.30pm).
