Windmill Bay Hotel - (Accommodation in Argassi)

Catherine W

Just got back from Windmill Bay today 25th September and I have to say they are one of the best apartments I stayed in over the years. They are relatively newly built and therefore everything is modern and clean. The apartments are located right at the sea - we had a corner suite on the 1st floor which meant we had two balconies - one in the bedroom and one in the living area which made it very airy and not too warm. The view from your apartment is excellent as we had view of the sea plus the pool. The food is quite good also at the pool bar. The only thing I could fault is the road from the apartments to the main area of Argassi - there is a lot of the road with no footpaths so you would want to be very careful at night for incoming traffic.Apartments are clean - cleaners come in regularly to change towels etc. I would definetly recommend it to anyone who is going to Argassi in the future. The rep even said it was one of the best apartments/if not the best on the island. I wish I was still there now!!!

Piccadilly - (Restaurants in Argassi)

Got garlic mushrooms for starters and to me they no more tasted like garlic mushrooms - my boyfriend tasted it and he said they tasted raw. For the main course I had garlic chicken with potatoes - the chicken was swimming in greece and I couldn't see a bit of white chicken on it - it looked all black and brown to me - again it no more tasted like garlic chicken as for the potatoes - they were also swimming in greece. The waiters are running around like mad fellas and getting no where fast if you ask me. Wouldn't recommend this at all- my boyfriend thinks the same

Courser - (Restaurants in Argassi)

Went to this restaurant twice while I was in Argassi - found the food lovely. I had the chicken with green peppers and black bean sauce and my boyfriend had the beef and chicken curry. He really loved the curry. Service was very good - not long hanging around. My boyfriend taught it a bit pricey though - we got two starters, two main courses with portions of rice and one chip between us and three soft drinks and it cost €50. Maybe that is not expensive for everyone though but when you are on holidays you might as well spend I suppose.

The Great Dane - (Restaurants in Argassi)

Found the food here lovely - went to actually three times over the two weeks we were there. If you like your mashed potatoes, gravy, crispy roasted chicken and mushy peas this is the place to go. The portions are quite large so you would want to starve yourself beforehand. My boyfriend had lamb cutlets with new potatoes twice and he thought it was lovely also. People who work there are very nice also. Service just a bit slow sometimes.
