I think everyone who has said about the hotel being basic and dirty is comparing it to british standards........remember its not britain! My aunt flew out to suprise us halfway through our holiday and stayed at a hotel across the road - and her shower was just a hole in the ground where Ikaros hotel is one of the few hotels who have baths. Jenny and Natalie are dolls, Pete and Mike are great (as is Nikos and his friend Guri who stays at the hotel but doesnt work there). Mike doesnt even mind if you borrow his employees to play pool and by the end of the fortnight i was actually able to beat Nikos at pool but not Pete (mikes brother). It was the first year for myself but the third for my parents. True the breakfast isnt really worth getting up for but that means if you sleep in your not missing anything. Used to be lots of good shops in town but all been replaced by fish market so i wouldnt bother going on a day trip there. Cocktails are brilliant. Especially the sunset strip 77's.
