Really good food and as of yet the only take-away place in Kalamaki!

Massa Restaurant - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Nice people who run the hotel...

Zepos Taverna - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

I personally thought it was the best restaurant in Kalamaki - well worth a visit even if you stay in Laganas (£3 cab ride). Very nice people and unlike most of the other restaurants, the food is very authentic.

May - (Best Time to Visit)

Kathryn H

In May the weather is hot of course - not overly so but you'll definitely come back brown as a berry. Might need a jacket in the evening at the beginning of May though.

Chicago Bar - (Bars in Laganas)

Over all a good place but only cos of the English girls that work there. The Greek son is friendly enough though.

I'll second the last comment - The sons are very nice chaps though. They will do anything to make your stay enjoyable.

The Inca Club - (Bars in Laganas)

I loved this bar - staff could talk a bit more but I guess it adds to the atmosphere! Well worth a visit - liked chilling there during the day - the cocktails seemed to be of a better quality then the ones along the main street.

Di Palai Hotel - (Accommodation in Tsilivi)

We had a fabulous family holiday staying at Di Palai.  The apartments were very modern and clean.  Bedding & towels were changed 3 times each week.  All staff were extremely friendly, cleaners, reception and 'Panos' the fabulous do it all bar man, waiter, etc.  Majority of apartments are rented by Danish, but nice mix with Brits, Austrian and Greeks.  Not far to the beach and at the better and slightly quieter end of Tsilivi.    There was a kids playing area in pool and slide, swings at the back by the waterfall which were great for my 2 kids age 3 and 5 yrs.  Only down side was getting towels on sun beds at early o'clock to make sure you get a bed around the fairly small pool.  Panos if you see this, hope all's going well.

Benikos - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

We went here on recommendation from this web site and how true all the reviews were.  This is an excellent restaurant, great for all ages incl kids, very welcoming and superb food at very good prices.  We normally venture round as many as have been recommended but we ended up coming back here a few times, especially for the Yuvetsi Lamb Clay Pot in the oven, delicious.  A lot of other people we saw on holiday also thought this was by far the best value and food.

Fiorentino - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Excellent greek food at very good prices.  Very easy to miss this small restaurant, but the food was worth it and great value.  My husband swears by the Pugi pie (I'm not a feta fan) but most others agreed this delicacy of lamb and feta cheese in filo pastry in oven was excellent.

Manos Grill - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Again we tried this place on recommendations from this web site and we were not dissappointed.  We ate before 8pm as we have 2 small kids and hence avoided having to queue but much after that it was difficult to get a table.  Once in it is worth it.  The 3 spreads for bread, pre-starter were gorgeous (didn't need a starter after that!).  The food was lovely and prices reasonable.  Well worth a visit.

Pieros - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

We went here having seen great reviews for it on this web site.  We were so dissaponited.  The staff were so arrogant and rude.  Being a family with 2 young kids it was extremely obvious we were put in second place every time a family with teenage daughters or young women came in and then they changed into different human beings.  Totally unprofessional if you ask me.  Anyway, as we'd had so much greek food we thought the Mexican menu would be a nice change.  The fajhitas were tame and glutinious, not at all what you'd expect and get back home.  Prices were very steep as well, even though kids eat for free before 8pm it was by far our most expensive and not very nice meal on holiday.  Thankfully we had many lovely meals elsewhere.
