Popeyes - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Whilst it was popular with the masses, Popeyes lacked any real character or atmosphere. TV dinners served on a plate!

Tsilivi Resort - (Resorts in Zante)

Terry B

Back now two weeks from Tsilivi, found the resort to be ok with plenty of things to do at night if you enjoy that sort of thing. Plenty of places to eat and drink, although all serving pretty much the same stuff. If you hire a car it is worth going to some of the more remote Tavernas for authenticity. We stayed at the quiet end, with the option of the walk in to the centre, which we did a few times, mostly in the morning for breakfast at Two Brothers. The small beach at our end was awful, although sandy, the sand stopped when the sea started, the walk in to the sea was painful due to the roks and boulders in the water. There are much bettter beaches within a short drive away.

Zakfari Jeep Safari - (Zante Excursions)

Terry B  (22 August 2005)

A great day out, a chance to see bits of the island we could not get to by car. The drivers knew there stuff and the comical accounts of the history and myths on the island was worth the trip alone. Our two kids enjoyed it, best bit of the holiday they said. Still haven't decided if the water in the well story is true, but it was funny. Could not make out the Elephant's though!

Blue Caves and Shipwreck Cruise - (Zante Excursions)

Terry B

We drove to Alykes and took a boat rip from here, the boat was small but very fast. Went to the shipwreck and the blue caves, the ship wreck was a little boring but the caves were great. The crew were silent most of the way and gave little info. On the way back we stoppped at a bar and enjoyed the views out to sea. The trip was a little expensive for a family of four but we enjoyed the boat ride and would recommend it.
