Excellent in every way.  Definitely the best we visited in Kalamaki.  A totally professional and truly Greek experience.

Mermaids - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Food and service were good but failed to notice the TV screen beforehand.  This is not what we come to Greece for so our first visit was our last.

Rainbow Restaurant - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

One of our favourites, typically Greek, friendly service and good food at a good price.

Pandesia - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

Decided to try this one after the hype by the English bloke at the gate.  All very nice apart from the vegetables which were the worst of all our meals in Kalamaki.  Needless to say this didn't warrant a return visit, especially when you can get near on perfection at many other places in the town.

Hera Restaurant - (Restaurants in Kalamaki)

We had a couple of lovely Greek meals here in the evenings and a great Greek salad one lunch time. Friendly staff and the nice touch of a place of melon and shot of ouzo and something else (not quite sure what!) after the bill. Well worth a visit or two.

White House Apartments - (Accommodation in Kalamaki)

Catherine W  (31 October 2005)

Not an ideal "holiday" location - wouldn't have been so bad had we actually asked to stay on a farm - cockerels crowing (any time), dogs barking (any time), shooting (any time that wasn't dark), so suggest some earplugs!  If you want the beach, you're in for a 20 minute walk from here.  No air conditioning, so it was very hot on the top floor in Aug/Sept (but fans available at extra cost).  We just tried to prop front and back doors open to get through-draft when we were in.  Basic but clean with regular towel/sheet changes
