zante veterans say there is no where better,  superb value and the most wellcoming restraunt around.

tasos and the gang make you wellcome and really work hard to entertain everyone. the drinks are great and very good value , with sports, soaps on tv if you want them or fun and games and the occasional wind up you just have to enjoy every minute of your stay. YAMAS TASOS , ANGELICA  and DENIS  were coming back for a 5th time. best wishes from Paul, Dawn and Gavin.

hera gives a chilled out relaxing evening with superb food and staff, no panic in here just enjoy your meal at your pace there is no rush. thats what greek holidays are about . see you all for a 5th time in july 2006. yamas.to all the staff.

stayed here with first choise in july 2005 with our family and relatives. had a really good time and would come back again. forget the aircraft noise people talk about it only lasts a second and its gone. facilities superb pool really good and clean  staff can not do enough for you and if james the rep is stll there he is brilliant . ps james sorry the kids tried to drown you but you were a freally good sport throughout our stay.

julie you have to abide by greek reallity they chillout and things sometimes take them a little longer than in the uk but they bend over backwards to make you enjoy yourself  the airport is basic and the new terminal has taken a while to construct , but just look how long its taking to get the new wembely built!!!. zante and kalamaki in particular are a must for a superb holiday so everyone , why not give it a go  and you will want to go back again and again as we have.

marelen is one of the best hotels in zante, and we have been to a few having been to zante several times.situated  near the beach and just a short walk from the best restraunts in kalamaki dennis in reception and nick in the bar in particular will help you with all you want to know. best time to visit , mid june and take a short walk to the beach hire a peddalo and watch the turtles coming into lay there eggs but do not disturb them, if you sit just off shore at early evening they will swim right past you. daytime round the pool is chiil and enjoy the sun ,evening entertainment is very good with traditional greek dancing as well as barbeque nights and sometimes english comedian or singing artists.

short walk to the village centre good all round accomodation though it is now twice the size it was when we stayed there in 2002 but still has a very friendly atmosphere. very short ride from the airport . and caters for all your needs .the beach is abut a 10 minute walk away where you can hire a pedallo to watch the famous loggerhead turtles as they swim towards the beach in june to lay thier eggs but remember do not diturb them.
