Tsilivi Beach - (Beaches in Zante)

Kelly W

i went away with my friend and planned to go on jet skis...was a bit expensive (50 euros for 15 mins) but was amazing!! the guys were really helpful and friendly and we couldn't resist having another go the next day! full speed against the waves on a choppy day...rough ride but made it so much fun! make sure you check it out!

Tom and John - (Accommodation in Tsilivi)

Kelly W

we stayed at tom and john's for a week...the people were friendly. sounds like it's hit and miss whether you're lucky enough to get your room cleaned. Our bins were changed everyday but some of the people we met there were unlucky and didn't get theirs changed all week! it's a minute walk from the beach and right next to the shop. it's off the main street in tsilivi so it's not too busy and the bars and restaurants are a short walk away. the pool is great...clean and quiet, plenty of space to lounge. the pool bar is great...hey to giannis...don't work to hard  giannis...very friendly guy

missing it already!

St Nicholas Beach - (Beaches in Zante)

Kelly W

hey to all the PADI guys there! it's the dancing welsh girls! my friend was really nervous bout diving (she has a fear of the sea) but i persuaded her to do it (cruel i know!) we thoroughly enjoyed it! we've got the DVD of us doing the macarena underwater to show everyone...very amusing! make sure you get a DVD, 35 euros but what a memory! thanks for your help in calming my mate down. these guys are pros, i felt very safe and the guys are funny and make the experience amazing! even dropped our DVD to our appartment in tsilivi as we ran out of time and had to leave...thanks  you've defo given me the diving bug! can't wait to do it again!

the beach is lovely...plenty of watersports but the sand is soooo hot you have to sprint across it! defo worth a visit!

Blue Caves and Shipwreck Cruise - (Zante Excursions)

Kelly W

we booked our trip to see the blue caves and the shipwreck but it was too windy to go around to the shipwreck  so we only got to see the caves...and as someone on my boat said....a cave is a cave! gorgeous but boring after a while. so, make sure it's not too windy for little boats. we were told bigger boats could still visit the shipwreck but they were quite crowded and the trips last all day. had a 10 mins stop for swimming and then stopped for some food...our drivers annoyed one of the locals with their driving, she was screaming at them so that was quite entertaining! although we sat there having no idea what they were saying!

Manos Holidays - (Tour Operators in Zante)

Kelly W  (21 July 2006)

the flight out was good, not too much of a delay. the transfers were well organised and on time. they dropped us right to our appartment and the next day the welcome meeting with andy in tsilivi was helpful. he was new at the place but he was very helpful, polite and was there when he said he would be. the transfer back was a little less organised and the bus turned up an hour late. the reps at the airport do their best but anyone who's been to zante airport knows why they have their work cut out! i've never seen anything like that airport!! all in all, can't complain about manos!

Sweet Revenge - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Kelly W

we ate here on our first night and i've got to say, it was great! the food was freshly prepared, the service is great. must be warned that the portions are massive and sweet revenge is very dangerous for those worried about their waistline!! should defo try this place!

Popeyes - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Kelly W

we visited popeyes 3 or 4 times during our hols and we always found the food was lush and all the staff were friendly. sometimes annoying when you're trying to eat your food and they keep talking to you! although we never felt rushed in and out. one waiter, george, always came and talked to us, think he had the hots for my mate!!  free shots after your meal...yia mas!  i would agree that it's more a family place rather than somewhere for a romantic meal so maybe not the place for all you romantic men (if there's any of you out there ) to take your wife or girlfriend

Bowl m Over - (Things To Do in Zante)

Kelly W

this place was great for a few quiet drinks. pool tables, arcade games, minigolf and bowling. as well as a cheap bar and friendly staff, all set in a modern and clean place...defo worth a visit

Mambo - (Bars in Tsilivi)

Kelly W

hey everyone at mambos!! just a quick note to tell you your welsh hunnies are back in sunny wales marty! and paris...thanks for all the amazing nights! it's cool seeing those pics of people we saw while we were there...dan dan and callum...finally know your names! duno if you'll remember me and my mate teaching you lot the macarena? but you might remember the dancing on the bar?!

mambo's is a great bar, takes a while to liven up but when it does you're in for a great night. it's apparently the only bar that has a license to stay open and play music til 6am! and make sure you sit at the bar and chat to paris...hyped up on life!

might see you next year, thanks for a great hols missing you all already
