Double - (Restaurants in Argassi)

Michelle L          8/10

We were warned about peter and his antics before we visited argassi, so spent the first part of our holiday avoiding him.  And as described in most posts he went from asking politely, to being abit more insistent to downright ignoring us.  Untill one night we got caught in a thunderstorm and doubles was the nearest haven.

The staff were excellent and probably the most helpful of our whole holiday,  they offered us towels and even offered to lend my husband a jacket to keep warm.  We had garlic bread with cheese to start with, and on our 10th night of eating out actually got proper fresh bread, not half of a sesame seed burger bun.  We both chose lamb kleftiko and it was delicious.  I'm not sure what there english type meals would be like but the greek food was delicious.  We even had home made nut cake for dessert and have been dreaming about it since.

If it hadn't been for the rain we probably wouldn't have gone in,  i must admit peter doesn't do himself any favours because untill that night i thought he was very rude, but he's a perfect gentleman when he's got you sat at a table.  I'd definately try again.

Ethnic - (Restaurants in Argassi)

Michelle L          10/10

The highlight of our holiday!!!

We didn't find Ethnic untill a week into our holiday, probably a good thing else we might not have tried anywhere else.

This restaurant is small but perfectly formed, and crammed to the rafters most of the time but the atmosphere is 1st class.

On our first visit i had the half roast chicken straight from the spit, best tasting chicken i've ever had.  My hubby had the spicy chicken and he said it was nice but wishes he'd had something off the spit.
We couldn't resist so returned the following night and had jalopenos and dolmades for starters which were yummy then we both had chicken from the spit again.

The owner, a lovely australian woman, was the perfect host,  she even gave us a free half carafe of wine for our repeat custom.

We tried twice more to get into ethnic to eat but unless your there before 715 you struggle to get  a table.

Green Frog - (Restaurants in Argassi)

Michelle L          7/10

We only ever tried the breakfasts here and if your looking for a typical english breakfast, look no further.

The staff are polite and friendly and the food was nice if not a little on the greasy side.   It was probably the place for a decent cuppa (pg tips and fresh milk).  And handy for any much needed supplies because its attached to a supermarket.

Prince of Asia - (Restaurants in Argassi)

Michelle L  (01 November 2007)        10/10

Ended up eating here 3 times during our 2 week stay.  The staff were wonderful,  they were polite and wished you a good evening on the street and after we'd walked the length of the road we always felt like coming back here because they weren't pushy at all.

We tried the chinese on our 1st two visits,  Chicken and sweetcorn soup - yum, Chicken noodle soup - yum,  Spring rolls were tasty.  All the main course dishes were lovely and better than home,  Beef with black bean sauce,  Szcheun Chicken,  Sizzling beef in garlic.  chicken with chilli.

On our 3rd visit we tried the indian,  i must admit i'm more of a chinese eater but the indian was equally nice.  I tried the jalfrezi which was nice without being too hot.
Food 1st class
Staff - Excellent.
