Akropolis Restaurant - (Restaurants in Laganas)

Very nice restaurant - the steak, done medium rare and very very good and the service is also good.  Clean inside and out, good parking and just off the beaten track.

Pallas Hotel - (Accommodation in Laganas)

Jill O          10/10

The best hotel in Zante.

The location - ideal for both young and old - just far enough away from the main strip not to hear the music but near enough for a stroll down to the many restaurants and fantastic nightlife.  The hotel has 24 hour security so you can come back anytime during the night (just take off your high heels girls!!).  Although improved lighting the walk back in the dark is a little daunting if you are by yourself although the police station is just at the bottom of the road so the traffic tends to slow down to a safe level.

The hotel - absolutely immaculate, rooms cleaned every day, marble floors keep the inside reception areas cool, air conditioning available (and necessary in August), there is a lift for accessibility, there is a fridge in the room (payable locally) which is large enough to keep water etc cool.  The bar is entertainment in itself -both Dimitris are great fun, food is available all day (and most of the night) it is good quality with a good range of Greek and English food.  The barbecue night is a must and if you are feeling lucky there is a quiz/bingo night.  There is internet access (payable locally), large TV and games for all the family.  The pool is kept clean and free of bugs.

And last but definitely not least - the Xenos family - you will be in a minority if you are first timers at the Hotel Pallas.  We have been going for 19 years and every year we see more and more "friends" returning.  The welcome you receive is second to none and to say it is Greek Hospitality at its most genuine just doesn't begin to sum it up.  The family are fantastic - nothing is too much trouble, everyone is greeted with a smile.  We love it here, we love the family and if you are going to Zante YOU MUST STAY HERE IT IS THE BEST.  Everyone who comes back, year after year, says the same - staying somewhere else would be a Greek Tradegy and a travesty for you.  Book - you wont regret it and you will be back for more.
