Popeyes - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Stuart H          9/10

We've just returned from Tsilivi and ate twice at Popeye's during our 7 day stay.  Agree with other comments that Popeye's isn't a traditional Greek restaurant, however it's not trying to be and nor are any others in Tsilivi.  It's squarely aimed at British tourists in my opinion.

On both occasions the food was great and so was the service. The staff are very nice, attentive and helpful, even though this is always a busy restaurant.  As mentioned by others, Denis is really nice, made a fuss over my nine year old son when he fell up the steps on the way in, giving him a Popeye's key ring.

On our second visit, which was mid afternoon, on the last day before we were picked up, we were the only one's in the restaurant.  The waiters chatted away to us and we had a great time.  They did mess up our order and bought out one wrong meal, to be honest I would had eaten it as we were in a bit of a rush.  The staff wouldn't hear of it and brought out the correct meal within minutes.

Would definitely recommend a visit.  I think like other restaurants they are feeling the pinch as business drops off due to All Inclusives and the number of people not affording to go away.

Romios - (Restaurants in Tsilivi)

Stuart H          10/10

In my family's opinion this is the best restaurant we came across whilst in Tsilivi recently. Although to be honest all our meals (bar one) were all good. But back to Romios.

We went to Romios three times during our visit, its unusually for us to go back to the same place as we like to keep trying different places to eat...so that say's it all.

The seating and tables are well laid out, not crammed in at all. It's clean and modern.

On all occasions we received a great welcome from the manager, he felt like an old friend by the third visit. We bumped into him at the airport on the way home as he was dropping his daughter off to fly back on the same flight as us. He introduced her and shook us all by the hand wishing us a safe trip home. He was always anxious that we enjoyed our visit. In truth, I think business is hard for these restaurants with the expansion of All Inclusives and the fact holidays are becoming beyond the reach of many families. I was amazed how quiet the resort was for August!!!!

I've been to Greece a couple of times and the food always tends to be good. But Romios is outstanding, lots of choice and all freshly cooked with plenty of choice. The array of starters is amazing.

It's a well organised operation with different staff fulfilling different roles (ordering, drinks, delivery of food etc.). The staff were friendly (made a fuss of my nine year old, trying to get him to take the orders on our second visit because he had collected everyone menus together on the first. But also professional and courteous.

Try it you won't be disappointed.
