Target Bar Taverna - (Restaurants in Argassi)

Barbara G

I've just found this site and although I haven't been for a couple of
years now, I must make a comment on Target. The best place in Zakynthos, great food, and service, Nicos and his family are very friendly!! The view from there is fantastic. Greek Nights 3 times a
week with set menu and lots of wine!! Fantastic value. Free transport if you need it 'cos it is quite a climb to get up there,
but well worth it. Can't wait to go back again!!

Argassi Beach - (Beaches in Zante)

Barbara G

Not the best beach in the world, long and narrow. great if you have kids because the water is clear and shallow. Lots of snack bars and
toilets etc..plenty of sunbeds but it gets very crowded in high season! Quieter area behind Locanda Hotel and Zakantha Beach Hotel.
Lots of water sports.

Shipwreck Viewing Platform - (Places to Visit in Zante)

Barbara G

There are only a maximum of 4 people a time allowed on the viewing
platform. The view is amazing and the sea really is that turquoise!
It takes your breath away. Its a long way down so maybe not for those with a fear of hights! But go on, risk it, you wont be dissapointed.

To Yvonne, getting to and from Windmill to the beach is all
on the flat. There are some little short cuts opposite the Windmill
that will take you down to places on the beach but your best bet is
to go to the crossroads and onto the main beach there where there are
sunbeds, snack bars etc.. Its not a great distance, an easy stroll
will get you there in 10/15 mins. Have a good holiday!

Krinas Hotel - (Accommodation in Argassi)

Barbara G

To Patricia Hanratty, don't worry, you won't actually come into
contact with the roosters! If you get a room facing the sea, they
overlook a olive grove/smallholding type of thing, and there are is
a rooster and a couple of chickens, a donkey and some goats wondering around but they can't get into the hotel grounds. I only
ever saw them when I was on the balcony, unfortunately though I
heard the cock-a-doodle-do at approx 5am every morning. But I got
used to it after a while and actually quite missed it when I got back
home! Have a good holiday!

Tom and John - (Accommodation in Tsilivi)

Barbara G

Anyone going to Tom and Johns first 2 weeks in
October? We are a large group of family and friends (20 in total), very friendly and full of fun, a bit noisy at times (due to all the kids), and we would like info on places to eat out/drink in Tsilivi as it is our 1st visit to this resort. We probably won't be all together all of the time as we have different likes/dislikes. What is the bar at Tom and Johns like? How late does it stay open till? Any info very much appreciated. Thanks.

We got back from a few days ago had glorious weather right up to the last day when we had the most torrential rain and thunderstorms, didn't stop us going out and having a great last night though!! Tom and Johns is clean and in a great location, near the beach, close enough to resort centre but far enough out to escape the noise. Pool bar is very expensive..a soft drink cost €1.50, same can at supermarket costs 60 cents. And it wasn't open in the evenings, so we had to look elsewhere, Moby Dicks is just a few yards aways and drinks and food there was cheap and very good also excellent service.
Staff at Tom and Johns pool bar a bit miserable we found, kept on telling us to keep the children quiet!!! How the hell can you do that when they are excited and having fun, we are on holiday!!!!! Nice guy in the supermarket, very pleasent. A bit expensive there but very handy when you run out of milk in the morning!! Don't know if I'll go back cos I found Tsilivi to be to "touristy" for my taste,
but everyone else enjoyed it, it was clean and you can find everything you need, good food at most places we ate too.

We went here first night of our holiday, and kept going back. Good food, very good prices, especially for drinks. Kids play area to keep the young ones amused, and excellend service from all the staff, especially Karen, she was great! Its a bit out of the centre but you must try it if you go next year, we stayed at Tom and Johns which is just a few yards away, so okay for us. Love the litle cinnamon shots you get at the end of each meal!! Karen , sorry we couldn't make it the last night, the weather was just too bad to be so close to the sea, (from the large group of nutters, and the guy who has a main meal for starters!!!)
