Emily Studios

Spent lovely 2 weeks at theses studios in May and have booked to go again Sept.location is ideal beautiful views and wonderful sunrise every morning.Very central for all shops bars and restaraunts.Studios are basic but clean am sorry to say they will not be in the Manos book next year owners told us they are going private.

we are looking forward to 3 weeks in Zante this year . We stayed at the Akis last year but are staying at the Emily apartments this year. I am trying to find out if safety deposit boxes are available in these apartments.

and found it very much to my liking, lovely setting and very peaceful,

met some very friendly people at the Emily, which made the

holiday almost perfect.

  Would definitely come again.

We really cannot understand all of the bad reviews for this place. We've just come back from a one week stay (September 2005 - Room 3) and we found it absolutely perfect! Apparently complaints had been made previously but we found nothing to grumble about - it just depends on what you're expecting! The rooms are very simply furnished - pine furniture in the bedroom though and very clean. All the windows are double glazed, and the door is very secure. We had a seperate kitchen area and bathroom, both of which were dated but perfectly suitable for what we needed. We had the room cleaned about 4 times over the 7 nights we were there with clean towels every time. You definitely do need to take your own towels though as the they never provide enough and the ones they do provide are a bit old and threadbare. If you're planning on having a few snacks you may also want to take some picnicware with you as the crockery there is a bit thin on the ground. However all in all, the rooms are clean, the paintwork is fresh, and they are traditional greek studios. The location of Emily studios is unbeatable and they really are a great little set of apartments and studios. We would most definitely go back there!

Stayed at the Emily Apartments for two weeks in September 2004 in Room 6.
Great apartment, very large for two (two bed meant for 4), fantastic views of the sea as it is a stones throw away from  the Alykes beach, very friendly owners, two large balconies at front and back, apartment could have been cleaned more thoroughly, but nothing to grumble about.
Absolutely loved waking up to the sound of  the sea waves and would recomend the apartments to anyone.

My wife and I have just returned from a two week stay in room 6 at Emily - 9th Sept to 23rd September 2004. And to think we asked for a change as a result of a bad report from an earlier customer! (early August). The rooms were good, Greek style, the situation could not have better for us. A damaged lamp was repaired quickly! The views from the room could not have been better. Would consider going back next year.

The Emily is situated right on the beach which is fantastic however the room we were in (no. 1) was absolutely filthy. Dirty bed sheets with holes in, in built cupboards smelt and were full of mould so we could not unpack our clothes, cutlery was dirty. Owners are rude and abusive, we did not have any towels throughout the holiday (luckily we took our own) but on the last day they accused us of stealing them and called the police! Everybody who stayed during our week is complaining, do not go there.

Has anybody stayed at the Emily studios this year?

Am going in less than 2 weeks and need to know if I should pack my Mr Muscle!!!

Am under no illusion of greek apartments as I have been many times before, if it's clean and basic that's good enough for me.

Any comments, good or bad, much appreciated.

Have just got back from Zante and we had an excellent time. We stayed in Alikes at the Emily Apartments for 2 weeks. We were in Room 5 on the first floor which had 2 balconies one of which overlooked the beach and had gorgeous views! The cooking facilities were fairly basic but other than that the apartment was really good. The cleaner was very friendly and cleaned our apartment every other day. At night it was quiet and overall I was very happy!! The weather was excellent too!! I recommend it all!!

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Emily. The location was fantastic, on the beach and quiet, however the appartment we were in, on the ground floor was tiny, dingy, dirty and smelly. The bathroom came off of the kitchen so you could sit on the toilet and wash up at the same time!!!!! Sorry!The people who owned the appts were friendly however I feel that it was more the agents fault that the appartment was so bad. I would NEVER travel with Manos Holidays again. WE had to insist on our sheets and towels being changed and that happened once in the 2 weeks, the frequency of the cleaning was dire, when we complained to the rep she shrugged and said I'll give you a form to complain. The appts on the 1st and top floor I have heard are fine. If you go to the Emily check you don't have the ground floor, however one couple specifically asked NOT to have the ground floor as they had been there before and still ended up next to us! Oh yes, there were rats outside the appt as well. Did we have a good time in Alykes despite the appt? You bet we did!!!!

Sorry, that should have read...the middle of Alykes!!!!! I need a holiday!

We are going to Zante on Sunday, staying at the Emily appts. They seem to be in the middle of Zante and I am worried that they will be too noisy. Can anyone put my mind at rest...Please

The Emily Apartments are situated in a quiet part of Old Alikanas. The apartments are owned by a wonderful Greek family who also run a small supermarket and bar next to the apartments. Dimitris runs the bar, cooks fantastic food at lunchtime and once you start talking to him, you will have a friend for life. Definately a place to stay if you want peace and quiet. Two minutes walk down to the sea, beautiful views. All round excellent!!!! Kate & Vicky

THE LAST TIME WE VISITED ZANTE WE STAYED AT AMOUDI.WE HAD MANY A GOOD EVENING SPENT AT THE PANORAMA BAR AND ON THE BEACH DURING THE DAY.WE STAYED IN 1996 AT THE TIME OF EURO 96 AND WE ARE WONDERING IF THERE HAS BEEN MANY CHANGES DURING THE PAST 5 YEARS.WE ARE ARRIVING ON THE 14-07 01 FOR 14 NIGHTS AND WE ARE WONDERING WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE AREA AND FROM THE EMILY APTS.THEIR WILL BE MYSELF,MYWIFE AND MY 2 GIRLS.MANY THANKS GAZZA.
