Lovely place to stay. 1st time staying in Argassi (9th in Zakynthos) and what a gem this place is. Far enough out of the main bustle but close enough to feel part of the great holiday atmosphere. Truly a great place for a family holiday. The apartments are well run, the cleaning and hotel staff very cheerful and the rooms adequate although the bathroom in 212 was a bit dingy. Air con (an extra) is a must but the balcony spacious and great views of the pool and a glimpse of the sea and spectacular sunrise.
During our stay we had the best reception staff ever but unfortunately Suzie left suddenly which was a great loss to the hotel. We have never met such a wonderfully friendly and interested receptionist as Suzie and she resigned in the main due to the way she was treated by some of the guests. If its you, and you are reading, this shame on you
. Suzie we love you!![]() The snack bar is well run and the day staff are excellent with consistently nice food served. Pool shuts a bit early for our liking but it is clean and there are always enough sunbeds, but sometimes after the Greek Night you may have to get your own sunbeds so try to get there just after or sometimes before the pool opens!
Major disappointment that there wasnt any activity in the hotel at night apart from the "Greek Night" which was just OK once the smoke had cleared from the BBQ.Recommended
Green Frog - great food and reasonable prices. Every meal we had was a treat and Emily was a great waitress . Run by Mandy and Nicos ( or is it really Tom Conteh?) this is a truly special place. Irish Tony and his Karaoke is great fun and the Mini Golf a pleasant 1/2 hour fun.Faros Car Hire good value and professional. Tourist Bus into Zakynthos town a good informative evening out and we had a lovely meal just off the main square. Not recommended
. Hotel Palmyra Restaurant- Over sold, over priced and food the worst we had on the holiday. Don't believe the guy outside- walk by -there are loads of good restaurants. Beach - they're aint one so get the free bus to St Nicholas BeachCash points often run out so take travellers cheques.
We will definately be going back-

This is a really good place to stay in Argassi and offers excellent value for money. Close enough to the resort centre and amenities (within a 2 - 3 minute stroll) yet distanced enough not to be affected by noise from traffic, bars etc. (would hate to stay on the road going up the hill from the Best Supermarket....!)
The studios are of a good size, very clean and comfortable. We had 2 adjacent studios on the 2nd floor above the reception area and the views were lovely. The only down side was the shared balcony - three studios sharing 1 run-through balcony - but it didn't bother us in any way and our neighbours were very friendly....it's just something we've never experienced before (and which is why I've rated 9 not 10).All of the staff are very helpful and friendly, no matter what time of day or night.
Plenty of really good restaurants, supermarkets and bars within strolling distance - you'll be spoilt for choice!
Would definitely recommend the Windmill Studios. ![]()

just got back from argassi yesterday, had a agreat time with Bill the barman and the rest of you we met. You might remember us as Calum and Brittany but we stayed in Stornoway... pictures up soon!! only reeeely bad thing was the timing when we were leaving our apartment...Our bus was due at 02.30am and we were told to leave the room at 12.00pm (mid-day) the previous day. All fair enough, they even offered a courtesy room... but for 30euro!!!?? no way! make sure you check this out when you arrive at the hotel and look for your pick up times on the boards beside reception.
im giving an "7" ..i realy enjoyed the holiday, the accomodation was all we needed (shared balcony though, a little privacy would have been nice!) the staff were GREAT! and we also met many friends!
will definitley return to argassi at some point but probably not windmill studios... sorry guys! ![]()

| Came back from the Windmill Studios yesterday and am missing it already, we had a fantastic holiday. Rooms were very clean and modern. Dennis and Jenny are very friendly and helpful. Situated in a great place with just a short walk to the beaches, resturants and shops. I would definatley recommend these studios. | |
