| We have just returned from 2 weeks at Dimitra Studios. Dimitra made us welcome and kept us fed with an endless supply of rice puddings, eggs, fruit and other Greek dishes. All free ! The appartments were spotless and cleaned regularly. There was some noise from dogs at night but not excessive but you tend to get this anywhere in Greece. All the locals went out of their way to be friendly and helpfull. The Babbis restaurant made us welcome with lots of freebies. We think this is the most beautiful, quiet part of the island and hope it remains so. We are sorry to see that Dimitra Studios are not featured in the 2005 Manos brochure. Hopefully we will find this accomodation in another brochure. | ||||||||||

| I have just been impressed enough by the more peacefull unspoilt area of Vassillikos and by the comments on this site about these apartments to book online. I am coming to Vassillikos in May for 2 weeks with my new husband who has never been to Zante before. It will be my 6th holiday on this wonderful friendly beautiful green island. I have never been in springtime before and I am looking forward to seeing the countryside more this time. We will hire a car and explore the more remote areas. I will upload my views when we return, I promise everyone. Thanks for the comments on this site. It gives future visitors a good idea what to expect. | ||||||||||

| Have just returned from my second year at Dimtras studios, what people need to remember when staying in Vassilikos this is a rural area you are living in a farming community so you are going to have animal sounds, now that’s not a problem for me I am a country boy born and bred lived on a farm for years, but don’t forget all the studios and villas are amongst the farms, as for the trucks and buses going to the hotel complex not much traffic during the night but then we go in September so the hotels are quiet, as for the bar over the road he switched the music of at midnight and he was usually closed by 1.00am, as for it sounding like living between the M1 and Battersea dogs home I would not know never heard either I live in the country, but like all seasoned travellers to Greece take some ear plugs and you don’t hear a thing,remember you could be next door to a disco, lets face it staying in Vassilikos must be better than Argassi, Kalamaki, Laganas. | ||||||||||

| I picked this place based on the catalogue description and the comments on this site and have just returned a week ago. How on earth can this appartement block be described as quiet and peaceful.... I live in the country and staying here was like being between the M1 and Battersea dogs home, as we rounded the corner we thought "ideal" of the main road - were we wrong.... It is opposite a bar which was roudy until well after midnight, continous water tankers back and fore together with the other large service vehicles and coaches servicing the very large holiday complex that no-one told us about at the end of the lane. I love dogs but not at 3am when they are competing with the cockrels. Dimitra and her son were very nice and I agree with the comments about the water which was provide for 2 euros per six bottles you could also get eggs. The appartements are simple with fly screens and cleaned weekly. In a different location they would have been fine. | ||||||||||

| Have read other comments about Dimitra apartments which almost made me change my holidays, Dimitra the owner speaks no english but her son speaks good english so no problem, the apartments are good i have travelled to greece for over 14 years and thease where the first apartments that i have stayed in that had mossie screens on the doors and windows,all the apartments where full when we where there and no one had any complaints, Dimitra kept a supply of botteled water which she delivered to your room for the same price you payed in the supermaret,please please please do not be put off going to Dimitra, if you do say hi to Max the dog. any info e-mail davegriffiths@ntlworld.com | ||||||||||

| Hi Julie b seen your coments about dimitra apartms in vassilikos we go there in 2 weeks time 28/8/02 if you or anyone else who has been there can give me any info about the resort the apartms ie how close is the beach, supermarket, bar/tavarna, best place to eat/drink,nearest hotel/pool, will have a drink on you when i am there, thanks, dave. | |

| We arrived back yesterday and had a wonderful time. The resort is peaceful and relaxing. The accommodation is comforable, basic and clean...and cleaned during the week. Dimitra who runs the accommodation was very welcoming, although had trouble communicating! If you want to get away from it all i would recommend it. There are local bars and tavernas close by and a supermarket approx 400m away. We totally disagree with the comments made by a prior visitor and wanted to set the record straight. | ||||||||||
