Ilios Hotel

I've been back from the ilios now for one week it seems like a lifetime. Me and my cousin Candice were there for two weeks we had an absolute ball it was great. We met some fantastic people i.e Chris, Lyndon , Hayley, fae and many more . The one person we will really miss is Yannis the barman he is a top class bloke keep up the good work and the jiggy jiggy's (the cocktails that is). The staff were absolutley amazing always there to help ( at five in the morning when we kept losing our keys) . We hope to come back very soon . Miss everyone so so much .

hi im rach, i got back from ilios last tuesday it was great i love evryone who was there. i came with my gr8est eva mum but we still met loads of m8s like hayley and fae and many more. the barman as said loads of time is fab, try and drink a bottle of wkd faster than him u cant! by the way lyndon if u read this wat a lovely pic to put on of vicky she'll luv dat. the clubs r also gr8 especially rescue u av to go. my pics r c*min 2moz so ill put sum pics on soon!!!

absoloutly excellent, second time there, and has got better since last year. the barman yanni is a top geezer, and a good mate, the cleaners are excellent, they never woke me up once, but then again, i dont think an elephant would of woke me up, i had a hangover most morning/afternoons! the bar staff are excellent, especially vicky. the apartments has everything to offer to people of all ages, and the entertainment was good, it was mark, but hes finished it there. definately recomend stayin at ilios!!! from lyndon, in epsom, london

The entertainer is a young English lad called Mark, quite cute.

Just come back from ilios yesterday. Fab place, definatly one of the nicer places to stay in Laganas. Room was cleaned regularly, maid was funny, could not speak a word of English, but she seemed to have such character. The owners even stood on the steps as we were leaving and gave the guests a pressie!! How nice!! The Air Conditioning was a bit pricey though if you wanted it (115 degrees F when we were there!) 115 Euros. Would go back again.

hiya, ilios was absolutley wicked. yannis, you are absolutley nutz, thanks for the wicked drinks. i had a great time, miss you already vicki! we thought mark was great, we had a great laugh with him and he showed us all around the town, its just a shame that a bunch of brummies started b***hin about him. cant wait to see you again m8 avvvv itttt!!!!! keep singing!
overall a wicked holiday and we may even return soon.

hi jannis (our hero) we had a great time but you have got to lose mark the entertainer he is pants.if anyone wants a nice meal go to boleros the food is exellent and try the british pub the travellers rest it has a late bar.ask jannis for a sniffer if you fancy getting lashed.

Andy and Jess are now singers around the island.They dont work in one particular place, they are in lots of bars. There is still entertainment at the hotel. Yanni is the best barman in the world and is still there.

andy and jess was very good they wont b back but u can still c them at hot lips they are both singers now .....

i went to zante it was good apart from a little brat called victor ha ha ha but he got to much for my boyfriend and some maidstone lads and poor vic ended up head 1st in the pool. andy jess why did you leave it was good when you was there and you had to go and leave y? p.s were was my dvd. matt and hayley

i went zante last year and it is sooo good for teenagers. there are two clubs, zeros and rescues. these are bars until 12 midnight, then the nightclub opens and by then everyone has had abit to drink and ready to party! the hotel was brilliant.it is a very relaxed resort with easy walking distances to the main street with all the bars and clubs and to the beach. the beach wasnt that special, but a beach ia a beach.all you need is sand and the sea, but there was one extra thing zante has got. there are turtels in the sea. so when you get a pedlo out you can actually swim with them like i did last year. i am goin ther nxt week with my dad(36)me(14)my m8(14) any my brotha(15). so if u r goin there soon. my names hayley and i wld love to make m8z.

We had a fantastic time.Andy,jess,yanni,vicky and co made us very welcome and looked after us very well. We enjoyed the entertainment very much.

Andy,Jess and Yannis thank you for a brilliant holiday, the entertainment was excellent, you was excellent, I got home yesterday and im still recovering from the bar crawls and partying, and all those cocktails I drank. Im still disapointed we never stole that staue out of cherrys, but theres always next year!

kev and i would just like to say thanks for making our holiday so fab to jess and andy. yannis was a great barman and even him making fun of my high pitched voice couldn't make me not like him. his smirnoff challenge was quite disgusting and amazing. i defy anyone to drink one quicker than him!

jess and andy are such good entertainers. jess is really good with the kids and it seemes like an excellent place to take your family. she is also a superb singer and dancer and we didn't think that she gets enough credit for all the hard work she does. andy is great for making everyone laugh and takes water volleyball way too seriously!!!!

ilios was lovely and clean and you are made to feel so welcome every where you go in lagana. we had a fab holiday and can't wait to go back! we actually didn't want to leave in the first place but we have now come back to reality with a big bump!

We took lots of Piccys - Sorry Leanne our photo of us all on the steps came out dark we have heads but you cant see who they are. These appartments were very friendly, clean and in an excellent location, just on the outskirts of the main strip but within walking distance for those who want the bars.

we are going to ilios in july can anyone tell us if the studios have a kettle in them as my old man likes a cuppa in the morning and it is the first time he has been abroad. does anyone know if the reps do anything around the pool for the kids in the day.we are going on the22 of july my birthday so get some drinks lined up on the bar for me you wont miss us there are 10 of us with brummie accents villa tops and 5 noisey kids. one of us called bowny walks like he has just got of a horse. we like a laugh so come and have a chat to us see you soon, martin and the clan

what is the best bar?

Oh my god! The best week I've ever had! I'm thinking about doing a season out there working in the bars, maybe 6 months. Anyone else done that kind of thing? Was it worthwhile?
I also wanna find people who were out there between the 2nd July and the 11th July. We were staying at Ilios Aparthotel and the weather was gorgeous! It was just the right distance from everything and was a really friendly, clean, good hotel. Anyone know anything about the Big Reunion next year cos I'd love to go.

Wow! This was the best holiday we've had. Everything about Ilios was great. Clean, great pool area and bar. Dennis & Nancy the owners were very friendly, Maria (what a loony) behind the bar is fantastic (a worthy replacement for Yianni) and we'll never forget her, even Tosys the Caretaker was great. A special mention for Andy & Jess who provided great daytime & evening entertainment, hope your back next year and thanks for encouraging Lisa with her singing. You won't find anywhere as friendly as this place, I guarantee it! Get yourselves there and don't forget to give Maria a shoulder massage. Thanks to eveyone for a great time. what can i say the apartments were very clean (any cleaner that cleans my room 6 days a week needs a medal) maria on the bar could not be nicer and andy and the lovley jess entertained us (the birmingham crew 29 of us) for the whole two weeks they were great would we go again theres only on answer yes yes yes........

I WAS REALLY SUPRISED HOW BASIC THESE APARTMENTS WERE AFTER ALL I'D READ. IT WAS FAR TOO HOT ON A NIGHT IN THE APARTMENT BUT THE OWNER HAS TOLD ME HE'S PUTTING AIR CONDITIONING IN FOR NEXT YEAR.I HAVE TWO LADS AGED 12 AND 10 AND ANDY AND JESS THE ENTERTAINMENT ORGANISERS WERE BRILLIANT WITH ALL THE KIDS.IF YOU READ THIS RAE AND MICHELLE WHO GOT MARRIED OUT THERE "AVE IT". THE ONLY OTHER THING I'D LIKE TO MENTION IS THAT OUR FLIGHT HOME WASN'T TILL 7:15 ON MON MORNING BUT WE WERE TOLD WE HAD TO BE OUT OF OUR APARTMENT BY 12:00 ON SUNDAY AND THEN THEY CHARGED US 35 EUROS FOR A TINY ROOM WITH 1 DOUBLE BED WHICH I THOUGHT WAS A RIP OFF ANYWAY OTHER THAN THAT WE HAD A BRILLIANT TIME!!!!

Excellent accomodation. Very clean with maid service 6 times a week. Far better than I ever dared hope. Bar staff are really friendly and entertainers Jess and Andy made a huge impression on our 4 year old. They may have only just started (we were there from 20th Aug to 3rd Sept)but they did a great job even in the dodgy weather. Would recommend these apartments to anyone

what a great place we were there from 13 to 28 august kids made so many friends. Just one comment though it needs more evening entertainment.Staff very friendly, very clean apts,great pool area and bar. Beach is lovely despite reading some reports. About 10 min walk from Ilios if you take short cut ask steve. Definately go back. Wish we were there now!!

Stayed at Ilios Apartments from 20 August 'til 3 September 2002! Fantastic!!! The place and staff were just amazing, they worked so, so hard. Didn't like the storm we had at the end of the holiday though!!!! Met some really lovely folks all of which we hope had safe journeys back home. Back to reality now - work! Still, need to fund the next holiday eh?

We stayed at the Ilios from 4th to 18th August and had great time. The accomodation was very clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly. Dennis the owner and his family are very nice. The bar staff Sophie, Yolanda and Maria are great too. Would definately recommend this accomadation to anyone. Made some great friends there too who were from all over England. Thanks also to Fatios who let my teenage son Ryan back into our appartment at 5 o'clock in the morning after his clubbing at Zeros. Would definately go back to Laganas and Ilios too.

Wow-what a brill holiday. Went from 2nd to 17th of July. Excellent apartments- really friendly, family owned. Mad barman Yanni-great laugh! Great location-not too far from the main Laganas strip. Friend Rach fell in love with the lovely Marco! (the son) Really clean and comfy. Definitely going back next year! Totally recommend it!

i've stayed at the Ilios now 2 years running and hopefully will be a lot more years to come. All the staff, Sophie, Yolanda, Yanni the nutter, and Steve the Rep all made both holidays great and memorable. Kids loved the pool and apartments were kept spotless. Athenacia, Dennis and there family were great people which makes it all worth while when ur made to feel so welcome.

We liked our apartment it was in a really nice place and the staff were really friendly. It was great to go in the pool and go onto our balcony as from there you can see the mountains. Bliss! If I could make any suggestion is that air conditioning is put in the rooms! It's too hot otherwise!

Haha.... yep me N Claireeee sepnt a night on their balacony - complete with fake marble table!! *LoL* these apartments r lush tho!!! ... although a lil outta town... but we were willin to swap Claireee n Donna for these!!! hehe :D

We actually only spent one night here .... and it was on the balcony of some guys appartment ....... it was a dead nice appartments tho and wish we had stayed here!! We offered everything in an attempt to make them swap with us! LoL

From the time we arrived everything was organised for us.It was our Honeymoon with 3 kids in toe.Kids loved all the entertainments available especially the pool.Steve the Rep was brilliant made us all welcome with no pressure to go on the Trips.The hotel staff (sophie,Yanni the crazy Bar man who made great Irish Coffees for me.Plenty of Whiskey.Appartment were very clean and large Great pool side view.Great atmosphere at night with load music and the World Cup on the Tele's.Can't wait to go back hopefully next year.

ive just came back from another great time at the ilios yanni the best barman in the universe is the best he is not a p***y barman hes the bestbarman sofia was very help ful and so was yalanda dina was very friendly and the owners friendly and helpful.every time i go i just gets better and better.yanni was like family i know alot about him so next time i go i`ll remember not to ask for icec ream or a milkshake.

Had a fantastic holiday in May.Staff were all extremely friendly & helpful,I think Sophie & Costadena would have liked us to leave our daughter Emily with them,they couldn't do enough for her.Yianni the barman is a complete nutter,will he make it to end of season downing those Smirnoff ices!!!

I agree with Sarah about Eric, lock up your Daughters! Yiannia and Steve are a great double act, we had many a entertained night at the bar with them. These are family run apartments and they are a helpful, friendly family. They looked genuinely sad to see people go home and gave a present to all who left. Can't wait to go back, but not in August as it was about 128 degrees for 2 weeks (5/8 - 19/8) and they don't have air-conditioning. You can hire fans from reception but they just move around the hot air!.

I have just returned from Zante. Ilios was lovely, very friendly. It is run by a family of four they have two sons, one is called Marco, he is very helpful as he speaks good English. There was one bad thing about our holiday we had a very awful stomach bug which lasted for most of it. Apparently it was going all over Laganas, and most familes caught it. If you are young and attractive please be careful of the maintenence/security bloke called Eric. He will offer you a ride on his moped and take you to a secluded beach and try it on if you say no he will take you back to the hotel but the way he drives (as he is cross that you said no) you will be lucky if you get back safely (I think he wants a passport to the UK as he is Albainian) He already has a child in England as he managed to bed a 16 yr old girl but because she wouldn't help him into the country he didn't want to know. Be warned. Other than him thay were fantastic.

Excellent Hotel Apartments very friendly and welcoming and good location. Cool Barman called Yiannis whom you must ask for a Sex on the roof cocktail - not sure if he'll give it to you for 700 drachmas!!! Word of warning - if you speak greek make sure you tell him! Look out for his side kick Steve!

Do the rooms in Ilios hotel have any sort of air conditioning or fans? What is there to do in the area during the day?

The staff at the hotel were lovely, the rooms were kept very clean and the pool bar served great food and drink. It was our honeymoon and to our horror we were given single beds for one week before there was a room to swap us to. The toilet in the room was left out of order for two days and at night we were kept awake by their dog barking constantly. We did have a good time but would warn that this is a place for party people to stay not those wanting a quiet break.

Excellent apartments with very friendly staff, especially Yianni who also served us with great measures at the bar and also provided room service!!!! Excellent location with something for everyone nearby. We will be back next year without a doubt!!! Lee and Georgia P.S Hello Rob and Leah!!!

First time in Greece for us and we shall return next season. The Ilios was ideally situated in Laganas - Not too far from the main drag but far enough. The staff were first class - very friendly - especially John (Yianni) top bloke who served us large measures at the bar. The accomodation was only recently refurbished and it is clear why they have a gold award from First Choice.

You will find the accommodation in the First Choice Holiday brochure.

We booked ours through the TV travel Shop. It was with First Choice.

Carl - any travel agent should be able to find the tour company. Try Unijet, as they are part of First Choice now.

A very nice,new accomodation,set a couple of hundred yards off the Kalamaki road.A small bar serving snacks and drinks next to the pool until around midnight.A good selection of restaurants are within 6-7 minutes walking distance.A recommended walk to the beach and turn left for Kalamaki at around 4pm and you will see turtles start to pop their heads out of the water a just off the shoreline.Could you please let me know which brochure this is in as I looked through every one to no avail as we would like to go back there and they are not in First Choice who we went with. e-mail:cheery@supanet.com
