A party of six of us went to Kalamaki in July, we chose Merlis as the lady who worked there was english and above all very helpful. We hired 2 cars both of which were new and much cheaper than others we looked at. Usually i wouldnt write a note like this, but I thought it was only fair to do so. I highly reccomend Merlis to anyone considering hiring a car in Kalamaki, they were excellent.

Would recommend Merlis to everyone and will certainly be using them again.. Julie was very helpful - she is full of local knowledge of the best places to go. We hired 2 cars @ 75euros each for 3 days. I was a little worried when my hire car rolled into a brick wall and caused quite a lot of damage to the rear, but Julie was great about it and told me not to worry.. I didnt even have to pay any excess.. Glenn and Jacqui Everson say a big thank you Merlis :-)

This is a must. Brilliant service and good prices. Julie is brilliant (better than a tour guide). If you want to hire a car go to Merlis.

Superb place for hiring vehicles. Would recommend the hire of both cars and bikes from here (hindsight is a wonderful thing) as the insurance is fully comp. They also deliver to your appartment, which is great if you are staying out of town like we were. There are no language barriers as the staff we dealt with were English and knowledgeable of the island (unlike Yiannis' bike hire). Don't think about going anywhere else, and certainly don't book one through your rep.

Good thing about Merlis was the fully covered insurance and the cheapness of it aswell We had 2 cars for a day and between 6 of us it was only 2500dr each. And 2000dr is enough petrol to go around the whole island.

We won free hire through a Quiz at the pool bar behind Merlis and as there were 6 of us did a deal to get 2 cars. Got the bunty ALto things - but they were ok though, once you get the breeze they are not too bad. Cars were delivered and collect from us, great. Helpful English service, fully comp insurance. No Hassle. Perfect.

Just come back on 16th. Did not pre book so choice was a bit limited. Good deal on a Postman Pat car with aircon, 75000Dr for 8 days with full insurance, approx £140, petrol approx 50p per litre. Drove round the island several times seeing all the sights and finding small beaches and coves.

Very helpful, not pushy, good air conditioned car - thoroughly recommended for those 40 degree days when a jeep might seem like a good idea.... Get out and see the beautiful island, away from the very english main resorts... You'll get a map, lots of ideas on where to go for beaches, sights and restaurants.. See Julie during the day. The best thing we did whilst we were there - especially when you watch everyone else traipse to the pool every day....

Office in Kalamaki. Excellent service, excellent price. My friends and I had a Hyundi Accent each, full air con for three days for 29000 drcs each (£53). Excellent value. Go there, the cheapest and best around!!!!!!!!!! Harborne and Walker Family

We hire a brand new scooter for 10 days. It cost about £50 and we spent about £9 on petrol. So worked out very cheap. very friendly service. All bikes and cars were in good condition

Very friendly and helpful service from the second location on the Laganus road at the east of Kalamaki. We were also due to take the "Postman Pat car"....hahaha yeh, I like that description...I think its actually a Suzuki Alto....but changed to a Hyandu Accent when I went to collect it. They were doing 3 days for price of 2 this week so paid about 27000 dms fully inc (about £52). Its well worth getting the airconditioned vehicles for extra comfort. They will deliver and collect if you want them to.

no jeeps were available when we first went to merlis so they split our hire 2 days with a "postman pat"lookalike car, then 4 days with a brilliant 4x4 kia jeep, cost all together was approx £160 inc vat & insurance. they also deliver & pickup cars at your accomodation. Very helpful staff - Julie - even gave us a list of best beaches/places to visit.

We hired an older car for a day at a price of about £16. It was delivered to our apartment and picked up late at night. The lady in the office (Julie) is a Brit who has lived on the island for 15 years, 8 of them as a holiday rep, so she is very knowledgeable about places!

WE HIRED A SCOOTER AND ALSO A JEEP HERE BOTH WERE VERY ROAD WORTHY AND ALSO CLEAN. THE LADY WHO RUN'S IT IS A GEORDIE(DONT HOLD THAT AGAINST HER HEHE)AND VERY HELPFUL YOU GET A GOOD DISCOUNT FOR THE LONGER YOU HIRE.THUMB'S UP HERE
