Cronulla Aparthotel(Hotels in Kalamaki) |
| 10/10 | |
Just got back from our first visit to Zakynthos. Trip We stayed at The Cronulla Hotel in Kalamaki and booked direct which was very easy with the help of the lovely Roby. As we got off the plane got our cases and got straight into a taxi and was in the bar within ˝ hour of landing (can't be bad) The room was great overlooking the pool the linen & towels were changed every other day the shower was the best we have ever had in Greece always hot water & very powerful, no shower curtain but that's the norm for Greece (I prefer it as the curtain always sticks to you. Only a fridge & kettle & one ring which is fine for us as I don't want to do any cooking. The pool was also one of the best we have had very clean always lots of sun beds available. The Bar was always full in the evenings with Jimmy & Tom keeping everyone amused. You could tell people had been before as everyone seemed to know each other. Our two weeks went too quick and again Roby helped with checking our flight was on time & booked us a taxi to take us to the airport. We had several snacks/breakfasts and they were always very nice and plenty on your plate. Thanks to everyone Roby, Dia , Steve, Jimmy,Tom Suzanne. And all the other staff who help to make your holiday great.

Thanks again to all the family for another enjoyable stay at your hotel. By the way, that's Roby in the picture next to reception - she's the friendly lady who sorts out all the bookings and speaks perfect english which makes things really easy. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon...................Marie & Lydia x

Just got back from the Cronulla, and want to go back now!!! The hotel was recomended by a freinds who have been many times and I'm glad I took thier advice and booked up!!
I cannot say too much about the staff who were brilliant and some of the most hardworking I have ever seen, Dia was there everday from breakfeast until late into the night (after midnight on some days!!) she was one of the most freindly people I have ever met and nothing seemed too much trouble.
The food was excellent and althought the breakfeast was minimal (bread roll and Jam with coffee/tea and Juice) it was all I wanted in the morning and you could still order an english breakfeast at discounted prices. At lunch time I can safely say that this is the best place to eat for snacks (altough the term snack is used loosely as there is so much on the plate!!)
The pool is huge (by Greek standards) and very very clean.
Also a quick thank you to Robbie on reception, I telephoned the hotel direct to book and she couldn't have been molre helpful as we had very early flights she mades sure everything went smoothly so thanks!!!
We will definatley be going back next year!!!! ![]() ![]()

Love this hotel, clean and comfortable, with friendly, helpful staff and in a great central location! Nice clean pool area too with plenty of sunbeds and a great bar which was sometimes still going at 4.30am
............And what a lovely lady Dia is, great to chat to you and thanks for arranging our taxi to the airport. Would definitely recommend this hotel See you next time,

Going to the Cronulla again tomorrow..cant wait to see Sue ( thats my big sis behind the bar! ) and the rest of the gang! The place is lovely and clean and everyone is really friendly. I stayed in the Marelen last year and I wouldnt recommend it at all. The apartment is tiny and squashed and theres no cooking facilites and also you have to pay to use the fridge in your apartment and it was 40 euro. Never seen or heard anything like that before until I stayed there, that should all be part of the package.

Going to Kalamaki tomorrow...AGAIN! Going to see my big sis Sue ( the one who ya see behind the bar! ) so it should be all good ! Stayed in the Marelen last year just down the road and I wouldnt recommend it as you have have to pay to use the fridge!!! What a rip off and also you dont get any of the cooking facilities in the apartment ( more like a tiny room ) so the Cronulla is the best place to go!!!
