Kalofonas Apartments

We stayed at here in Sept' 05. Being three lads stayin in one apartment was a little crowded but we still had an awsome time. If your going to Zante for the same thing we went for then this place is good enough for its price. O.k, so u might have to walk down a dark dirt track onto the main drag but seriously, the ammount of time we lost each other and headed back to the apartment alone, it was fine. Its in an awsome place. Litterally 20 seconds walk onto the main drag and about 2 mins from the beach! We had a 2 ring hob electric cooker, sink, hot shower and balcony. There was 1 single bed and a double bed so 2 of us where sharing but when you go home in the states we did, who really gives a fuk! Half the time you ended up in someone elses place anyway... It is a basic place but seriously, for the time you spend in the apartment anyway, its all you need. I would suggest finding a secure box for your valuables though just incase. We had no trouble but best be safe then sorry.

Have fun and if someone comes up 2 you and asks you for 40 euros to go on this island for a night where you can party it up all nite, I highly recommend you do it. Best nite of the week for us...

We turned up, expecting the worst. Got off the coach and told the rep we didnt want to stay there and got moved to the Savvas and had a wicked holiday. Kalofonas is off a track, and as it was only me and my sister so we didnt feel safe staying there.

 Change if you can and Zante will be wicked

sorry to hear about you getting done over I did state we had it done and not only our apartment  was its behind the main strip and they get away with it all the time the rep also had an excuse when we tried to get help took her 2 days to come to see us the apartments are nice but not in a good area sorry but pleased to see someone else can tell the truth about it maybe people will start trusting this web site and take notice of comments please if you are  booked up for this apartment try to change it or cancel its not nice to be broken into and have anything stolen not a holiday to remember for accomodation

PLEASE be aware that these appartments are a regular place to be broken into, We were broken into on our 4th night and we believe that the person in question may have had a key...... We had to pay 50 euro's to get a translater too, like the previous comments on this page... The police don't even come out as they are too busy in the town centre at the weekends... My advice is get your appartments changed, or risk having your belongings taken and your room trashed which has spolit the rest of our holiday....... Also are Rep came late because he was busy dealing with a RAPE!!!!!!  Just what we wanted to hear being 6 girls and don't know if these people will come back to our appartments?

there is a pool a few minutes walk away in another hotel its a nice pool and got a pool bar but there are loads of walk in pools around also so have a look around some nice ones about hope this helps

Me and my boyfriend went to kalafonas on the 4th june 2006. I was really worried before we went and even tried changing but in the end we decided to go and we didnt have a problem. The apartments were basic but not dirty or scruffy, the cleaners came in nearly every day and around the apartments there is lots of nice trees and plants,which look very nice. Cooking facilities are basic- 2 ring hob and fridge, so i suggest eating out but its cheap enough to do so.The room had 2 beds a dressing table, a balcony and a shower. The pathway leading up did not have any yelow stuff on it and its not very long or really dark!We didnt have any problems and really enjoyed our holiday. P.s go 2 must bar- 2 cocktails.2 shots and greek beer for 4 euros, bargain!!!!

hiya not sure if the yellow stuff is still there but yeah it was bad wouldnt recommend these apartments to anyone If were you try to change before you go but good things I love it when I have been both times never seen no trouble and the greeks are so nice you get a little bugged by them trying to get you in for a meal but they recognise you afterwards they are nice people and holiday is good but better with the right accomodation if you need anymore get back can help if I can .

hi yes it is bad if you can change you apartments I would the rooms are so basic but thats greece but walk way up is awful only about a 2min walk to main street but your shoe will be yellow if you stay there take plenty of boot polish if you are to wear black shoes. I have photo of the walk took them to complain but aint done it yet there are loads of nicer places if you can afford to change I would advice you do. If you want more info ask again and will be happy to help been there a couple of times if dont hear from you again hope you have a nice holiday

We stayed here for 2 weeks from 28th Aug. to 11th Sept.  Rooms were very basic as I did expect but maid only change bedding and towels twice. The 100m walk is ok even on a night but what no one said is that is chunky yellow dolamite stuff you walk on, shoes are rotten before you get to main road. We got broke into through the front door on 3rd night as did another room same way, we didnt get in till after 4-30am and they came in while we were sleeping. Had to report it to the police who dont speak English and cost 50 euro for a translater (who was really good). Asked Rep if this property was a regular thing at begining of holiday and got told no then found out it was.  The apartment is very close to the beach and main strip if your not bothered about the yellow shoes when you go out. It also rain for 3 days and there was puddles everywhere luckly someone put planks of wood down to walk over great if you are sobber (lol)  so hope if anyone is looking at going here please take this into account wished someone had mentioned all this on here before. If you go to bed late its quite early nights are no good here wouldnt stay here with children though

hi stayed at micheal angelo apartments a couple of years ago. Going back again in July 2005 staying in Kefalonia is it ok and is it anywhere near bananas ( was the best bar ) when I was last there.  Do you really need a tourch asked for 2nd Floor for more safety any info would be welcome thanks Elsa
