Popeyes

Restaurants in Tsilivi

Peter B

Excellent restaurant with quality food that was good value for money. The service was great considering that the restaurant was full every time we eat there - and that says something! The only minor moan was that the tables were placed closer together than most of the other restaurants, but as this was the only restaurant in town where customer queued for a table they can be forgiven.

For info, another great lunchtime snack bar in Tsilivi (which does not have a listing on this site yet so I cant put a comment under it's listing) is "Caspers" which is half way between the town centre and Tsilivi main beach. Give it a look - it is the best value in town for Giros and baked potatoes.

Lloyd

Absolutely Blinding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a restaurant. We ate here around 4-5 times during our stay in tsilivi.
I must say that we had breakfast at popeyes more than 5 times.
I can really recommend the Cheese Toastie!!
On the whole a great family restaurant with Grrrreat service

Howard G

Good for families, more of a breakfast/snack type place really. Nice staff. It's good, but not THAT good!

Gittan

Great place, great service. Nice friendly people

Kc

It was good!! I loved the Simpson lollypops!

Sarah H

We decided to eat at this place we were there last October. Well what i cay i say it was truly the worst place i have ever eaten it, friends had recommended it and it was not nice at all. The waiters had no time for you, Burger was overcooked, greek salad was nothing lik a normal greek salad. I would not recommed this place at all. there are far better places to eat in tsilivi. Liked the little village of tsilivi lovely beach and people were lovely just don't eat at popeyes.

Jean M

Do wonder a bit why this place gets 10/10 The food was ok, waiters helpful but the place was crowded. Ok for taking children but if you want a quieter place to eat and with a better selection I would go else where

Leigh-ann G

was a very good meal when we went. food was very good and they have a HUGE variety of things on the menu! sandwiches are great for a snack and are very nice. was busy but not too busy when we ate there and would recommend for lunch or just a light snack. we all thoroughly enjoyed it when we ate there!!

Andy

Very busy when we visited. Tables were cramped. Food was OK but we had better elsewhere.

Vicky

Me and My friend have just returned from Tsilivi. We eat here about 7 times out of 14. We loved it, the service was excellent. The waiters were lovely and very polite and the food was gorgeous. I reccomend the chiken curry indian style, it comes on a bed of rice with a huge popadom on a seperate plate and generous chunks of chicken in the curry. Dennis the owner and his wife nikki are lovely and even gave us a free keyring, pen and mug, and they gave my little brothers a t-shirt and cap. Would definately reccomend popeyes if your in Tsilivi.

Andy T

Probably one of the most popular and well frequented restaurants. Good food, good service and reasonably priced. Eight out of Ten.

Denise

Visited this place only the once after reading all of the recommendations and wished I hadn't bothered. My basic burger was overcooked, bland and the roll was rock hard it was so stale. My friend found a hair in her food and when she complained she was accused of putting it in there herself.

Cannot understand why people queue to get in here, there are much better places to eat in Tsilivi.

Anita B

Having read all the comments we thought we would try the place out. It was ok if you like being packed in. The food was nice and the staff friendly but there are so many restaurants to choose from that we wouldn't go back to Popeyes again, even though our daughters did get a keyring each. Most other places were offering 10% off or free icecreams when we went and Popeyes did neither of those.

Robert C

It was OK. The service was good and the prices normal. But food wise, there are better 10/10's than this.We expected, perhaps, too much, especially as we saw people queing every night.

Jenny M

we ate here once and it was..nice had chicken curry, kids loved the pizza price was okay but to me it wasnt that great, though i must be wrong as there was a que here every night!!

Marie W

Popeyes looked really busy every evening, so that had to be a good sign. We only went there once, but had fully intended to go back. Staff were all very friendly, even if one of the waiters did get a bit confused and thought we were from Holland, instead of Ireland. It was really funny as he asked whether we lived near to or far away from Amsterdam, we didn't have the heart to point out his mistake, so just said we lived "really far away" from Amsterdam!!
Food was lovely, very generous portions, although they seemed to have a slight obsession with cloves...?!!

Dave H

The food was great and service second to none.
we have good appetites and found we had plenty to eat. they made our daughters birthday very special and gave them a free gift on every visit.

Meffy

Visited popeyes last year, was one of our favourite places, so we were really looking forward to re visiting them. We found that allthough the food was ok, the portions were very small. We still found the staff friendly.

Jul S

Good food but the portions have got smaller since last year. My daughter ordered a childs portion of food but what she got would not have been enough to feed a 2 year old child. Sorry popeye's but last year we were singing your praises but this year you have gone down in my estimation.

Michelle W

Fab food fab service and you even get a free keyring

Tracey M

Popeye's was a great find during our stay in Tsilivi!
The food was excellent each time we dined there and the waiters are great fun, especially with the kids....
One night they arranged a surprise birthday party for my Brother who was 40 while we were on holiday. They decorated around our table with banners, balloons and party poppers and even arranged a bithday cake. It was a real surprise for my Brother, he had no idea!

I would highly recommend a visit to Popeye's. Great food, great experience, great time.

Thanks to all at Popeye's for such a super evening

David B

just got back from holiday in zante it was FAB by far the best place to eat is popeyes by far first class service and food i must say thanks for the the cake and bubbley for my dauters birthday (michelle)see u soon

Gavin P

We went to Popeyes 5 times during our two week visit & never had a bad meal. Food was excellent & reasonably priced. Waiters very friendly especially with the kids. Would recommend you visit at least once & see for yourself !

Peter N

The staff are indeed cheesy...but there is a queue outside every night and the place is packed to the gunwhales which speaks volumes. The food was very good with the exception of the battered fillet of cod - which was like a budget fish finger wrapped in a fatty flannel. Full credit to the waiter - he did offer to change it for an alternative meal. Kids were given a lollipop and a Popeye keyring as a keep sake which was a nice touch.

Maria P

Popeye's was the best restaurant we visited in Tsilivi. There was an excellent choice of menu with lots of variety to suit everyone. The food and drink was delicious and the service was brilliant. All the staff made us feel welcome - best waiters on the island!! We will definately be back. YIAMAS!!!

Martin B

The food was ok, fairly nice, the service was nice enough. The thing that annoyed us was they leave you waiting for the bill so to make the restaurant to look fuller, we asked 4 times and were left waiting for 35 minutes.

Mister Q

To all the NAY sayers, I have visited regularly since 1996 and this is the ONLY restaurant where I have never had a bad meal. Nuff said.

Craig F

we thought this was the worst place to eat in the resort
tiny portions, overpriced (for what you got)service was ok but a tad false (more cheesy grins than a cheddar creamery)cant see what all the fuss was about we fort there must have been a stripper on so we joined the queue like all the other mugs.
go to majestic instead!" much better "

Diane B

Was there in 2001. Discovered this place purely by accident as we were in a restaurant across the road from there one night (nothing to write homw about, can't remember it's name) and we noticed the queues to what we thought was a burger/snack bar kind of place, very similar to something you would find in Blackpool. It was somewhere on first appearance that I would never choose whilst abroad as I go abroad and like to live their culture. Anyway after seeing the queues to gwt in we tried it the next night, and considering that I am a woman that never eats in the same restaurant twice on Holiday. We ended up goinb back 3 times. The menu ranges from brit grub to greek to mexican and italian. The roasted rack of lamb was to this day one of most memorable meals ever, it just melted in your mouth. The portions were huge, and a good price. Beware the house wine in any restaurants we would have a kilo of it with our meal and be plastered.

Ben P

The service here was better than any other restaurant in Tsilivi. The waiters are so friendly and really make an effort to talk to you. The food was good quality but the exceptional service just makes it a great place to eat. Would definitely return without hesitation.

Dave S

eathere 2 years ago and thought it was more like being in blackpool it was that tacky.

this year we thought we would try the bacon butties for breakfast. absolute rubbish.

I think I was cooked more than the bacon waiting for it to come. If you love raw fatty bacon then this is a place for you.

Richard C

Quite simply the best place to eat in the resort! (possibly the Island). They do the best starters, salads, steaks and Greek food. It is not simply an English based restaurant the greek food in Popeyses is better that the many Greek based restaurants.

Dawny-bop

hey. the people are nice and the food is great. very english. yummo!

Sandra J

Didn't have any complaint as such, staff were pleasant enough, but food was just average and very much english. The sort of place you might call in if you were passing and wanted a snack but wouldn't go out of your way for.

Edwina J

been coming here for the past 10 years (ever since it opened) and i have found a warm and genuine welcome each time i return. you don't need to have children to realise what an excellent eating establishment this is, nothing is to much trouble for them. if you look on the faces of the children when they are given keyrings, hats etc you can see the pleasure it gives them when they are made to feel special by popeye.
love to dennis, niki, & the boys
edwina, brenda and margaret x

Josey W

I agree with Graham Cork on this one, the food was nice but ideally it was only the kind of place we visited when we missed breakfast and u just want a peice of toast or some cereal. The were rubbish compared to the warm welcomes we'd received everywhere else and seemed an effort to help you. I would give it a miss unless you have kids as I think this only really suited to a family.

Tim S

Still Excellent

Graham C

I stuggle to see what the attraction to this place is? OK if you like traditional british food, not a lot of greek food available (plenty advertised on the menu). I actually thought the service was poor and they appeared to be under the impression you were doing them a favour by eating at their popular establishment. Kids got a key ring after the meal, but we didn't return.

Melissa O

lovely food just a bit too busy, not very intimate. but would return

Mel

What can I say....Popeye's is a great restaurant. I first visited Popeye's back in 1993 and has Denis always rememebered me. He even knows how many times I have been to Tsilivi. Denis used to do the most wonderful sliced mushrooms in a sauce with chopped garlic...I could just eat them now!!! Hopefully, god willing I would like to go back to Tsilivi again and Popeye's would be my first choice over any English Restaurant....as for queing for a meal, we queue in England for places to eat so why not in Greece!!! :-)

Diane H

What can I say? There were five adults in our party and none of us ever found fault.
Keep up the good work!

Tony L

We visited Tsilivi twice this year in late august and the last week of the season , Dennis and the gang at Popeyes were great every time we dinned there, food was great service unrivalled, and the prices were excellent , Thank you for the great times Tony,Mandy,Paul and Rebecca and both families (Dean.Carly,Steph and Amiee XXX)

Kevin B

popeyes was our local whilst we were there and myself and my family were treated brilliantly. A special thanks to Dennis, niki, max and nick. we will be back in may and max i hope your still in the same place as we left you and i thank you for ur present!! nick, thank you for keeping a watchful eye on Katrina. and Dennis, Justine will be out next season to help at the restaurant!!! thank yo uagain for being apart of our holiday! the pictures are on their way to you Dennis Love Mandy, Kevin, Katrina and Justine =)

Peter S

the service wasn`t good at night time because of one of the waitors who was rude and bossed people about.it was a shame because the service in the morning was really pleasant.

Melissa J

hi everyone just came back last week and we miss our english breakfast.we plan to come back next year and hope to see you all again, thanx alot bye xxx

Anita W

we loved it,food was lovely everytime trying something different each visit, a must for the kiddys who gained a small gift at each visit making them feel extra special.Staff were great! Big thumbs up from us.

Mark W

The popeye waiters like to fill the place from the back tables even when the front tables are clear (we put our foot down but saw others walk away when they saw where they were going to sit, you have been warned). The head waiter was an arrogant pig to put it mildly. Tried it not impressed will not be going there next year. Food average better elsewhere in tsilivi.

Annette J

If you like English food abroad this is the place to go! This was probably the worst meal of our holiday and we tried about 9 different restaurants. Food was very average compared to other restaurants. Atmosphere was excellent however as it was busy and the location is good and maybe what attracts a lot of people.

David H

THE BEST EATING PLACE IN TSILIVI,WE ENJOYED THE LOCATION, THE ENTERTAINMENT BY THE WAITERS AND THE FREE MUGS WE WERE GIVEN.SUPERB FOOD. BEST MOUSAKA ANYWHERE. MANY THANKS TO DENNIS AND HIS STAFF,NW WE ARE POPEYES FRIENDS.....DAVID ,DAVID,DEBORAH AND ANNE

Joanne

after reading the comments on here thought we would give it a go,the meals was ok but by no means the best give others ago first

Kay M

Nice food, but lots of noise due to location. Not nice enough to queue if you aren't seated by 8pm though

Katie O

I have been to Tsilivi 6 times now and Popeyes is almost our local restauraunt whenever we are there. Dennis and all the waiters are very friendly and never failed to say 'hello' even if we were just heading past on our way back after a night out. A special mention must go to Nicos (Yiassou filee!), Max and Yannis who never once stopped smiling. Love to you all, Katie and Rim.

Carol R

My friends and i have been returning to popeyes for the last few years and always are greeted with warmth and hospitality. The food has always been exceptional even if you buy something you find you do not like they will cook you something else at no extra cost. We have been recieving christmas cards from them since 1994, they never forget. Absolutely fabulous people.

David S

We visited the restaurant on our first night becuase of all the good comments from people on this site and others. Now we have been there and to others we wouldn't say this was anything special. Can't understand why people queue up for ages when there are so many other good places to go to. Some nights people were queuing down the road to get a seat!

Mark E

Overly friendly owner thinks he can quote Del Boy in a Greek accent. Food was good but with so many excellent tavernas I would not queue up to get in (although lots of people do) They also tried to overcharge us for drinks that we did not have.

Jim J

Take no notice of the quality gradings as we never ate there. With so many excellent eating houses we did not feej inclined to queue. We did have morning coffee before being picked up for a trip. Proper percolated (sic) and free refills.

Michelle G

We found this a bit 'production line' however the kids loved it - the more times you went the better their presents. The food is good and very reasonable - the children get a lollipop and present at the end of the meal and the adults get a drink which tastes likes venos! Waiters very friendly - best if you can get a table on the edge over looking the square - not so claustraphobic !

Yvonne W

All you kids out there who are going to Tsilivi with your mums and dads, you must go to Popeyes. The food and ice creams are really really nice and Dennis Popeye (who runs the business) gives you lots of nice goodies if you eat all your meals (James Wong of Liverpool, Aged 6)

Yvonne W

Never had the breakfasts there but ate there most nights. Dennis fantastic with our little boy James, he gave him presents and goodies galore. Food was varied and very tasty, the rack of lamb and Pork Gyros highly recommended, all the waiters very friendly and entertaining, a must to visit.

Mark J

Went in only for breakfasts as it is in a very busy spot. It was like watching Wacky Races with the traffice there on a junction. But the breakfasts were really good along with free coffee top ups. Very friendly staff

Craig K

Great food, good service, great price.

James M

This place is FIRST CLASS, can't believe it only gets 7/10, should be 10/10. We ate here 8 nights of our two week holiday. Pity we didn't discover it earlier. Dennis (Bossman), Yannis, Spiros, Max, Nicos and Demetrios were all fantastic with the kids. The food is EXCELLENT, huge portions and very reasonable prices. You may need to queue depending on how busy it is, but they will accomodate you wether you are a couple or a family of 10. My wife celebrated her birthday, they even took out time to sing happy birthday and provided a complimentary cake, candle etc... What more can I say, you must try it, we will definately be going back. Thanks guys for making it part of a memorable holiday.

Lilmissastar@aol.com

this was also one of my fav restaurants, never found anything we didn't like there, u may b a little bit squashed but its worth it for the food. waiters very welcoming and friendly

Dawn L

I agree. Everyone who worked there made you feel welcome. I also agree that it caters not just for adults but for kids too. Not everyone is perfect... One evening I ordered a pizza and ended up being brought a burger...as soon as I told them they made every effort to put it right and as the atmosphere was top that evening it posed no problem at all. Would recommend everything on the menu especially the Bruchetta (starter) and the milk shakes are to die for. And its true between the hours of 8.30 and 9.30 be prepared to queue for maybe 5-10 mins (max) Just got back today (03/07/02)

Brian J

Popeye's quality, quantity, service and price are consistantly excellent and Dennis and staff cannot do enough to ensure that you will not be dissapointed. He is also very good with children of all ages. At very busy times you might have to queue for a few minutes whilst other nearby restaurants are half empty. Don't just stick to the English menu, try the Greek also. Brian & Edwina Brian And Edwina

Maureen K

You get what you pay for. Don't know what attracts people to the place, unless of course you like sitting elbow to elbow. There are better places to eat with lots of room and time to savour the atmosphere!!

Philip C

We only stopped for an afternoon ice cream. Place was clean and well shaded. Staff attentive and courteous. Friends we met at our apartments had breakfast there every morning and praised it alot. Staff are very welcoming to kids.

Candy H

Popeyes is the original taverna in Tsilivi. It takes it's name from Denis, the owner's, sea faring days. Denis still runs a tight ship and makes sure his restaurant is clean, serves good food, both international and Greek, (probably the most extensive menu in the resort) and offers good service. Added to this, the prices are very reasonable - and he'll even send you a Christmas card! Need I say more?

David C

Can't fault a full English breakfast of: 1 slice fried bread, 2 eggs, 1 sausage, 1 rasher bacon, mushrooms, beans, fried tomato, 2 round toast, glass of orange juice and endless coffee all for 5.00 euros (£3.26), if that doesn't wet your appetite then try their burgers (no cardboard Mcdonalds burgers here)! And as for the Lemon Meringue pie, WOW, better than my mother makes. Never ate here evening time, but absolutely superb for breakfast and lunch.

Andrew H

Fantastic! Especially if you have kids. Yianni makes them very welcome and dishes out free stuff like it's Christmas. This was the only restaurant where people were queuing to get in.

Diane R

Just returned and had breakfast every day here, great food and great prices! Loved the Zante eggs and the omlettes yummmm!

Andrew M

Can't comment on evening food, but for breakfast absolutely fantastic, good value, excellent choice and service. Waitress's lovely, typical greek hospitality!

Michelle C

this was great we went to popeye's every night as the staff were great especially dennis nd pablo. i actually fell in love with pablo. the food was great and always cooked 2 order. very cheap prices aswell

Ben

Full of English people, in fact the whole of Tsilivi was but all the egg and chips brigade seem to come here. Food was okay but probably best avoided unless you "don't like all this foreign muck".

Anna R

We went to Tsilivi in 1999, we loved it and came back again this year but stayed in Laganas instead. We hired out a ped and visited Popeyes and loved it just as much as we did two years ago. Good english grub, what more can you want Ken Brown?? You would only moan if they didn't serve english food !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Duncan N

If you are prepared to wait 45 minutes for your meal after ordering then this is the place to go.

Claire N

popyes is ace you people who dont like it are wrong in your heads they are the friendliest people in the world food is exerllent we love you popyes love the minxstressesxxxxx

Claire W

POPYES IS EXERLLENT THE FRIENDLY STAFF AND CHEAP PRICES MAKE IT THE PLACE TO EAT IN TSILIVI ME AND MAY FAMILY ATE THEIR EVERY NIGHT OF OUR HOLIDAY ALL COOKED TO PERFECTION

Kevin C

We were in a party of six and having arrived quite late we wondered up the road and came the first place we across was Popeyes, we had the Greek meze starter and each chose a Greek dish from the menu, none of us had the same so I suggest all of you knockers learn yourselves a little Greek and chose from that side of the menu, if you dare!!!We found the service very friendly, it was very reasonable, not that we worry about that too much when on our holiday!!!Nowhere in Tsilivi is that expensive anyway! It was very popular and we could easily see why!!!!!! Just because a restaurant sells English food it doesn't mean you have to chose it!!!! We'd definately go back there!!!!!!

Ken B

If you like British food, made from British ingredients, in British company, at British prices, with a long British queue to get in, this is the place for you. Just answer me one question- Why are you in Greece?

Barry C

We had dinner & lunch twice in Popeye's and everytime it was excellent. If you want to get a table be there early as there was people queuing to get a table.

Judd M

Excellent, simple food. Great value e.g. for breakfast - a 3-egg omellette with three fillings of your choice (including crab, avacado) sauteed potatoes and a slice of toast for 1100 drachmas- £2 . I can't understand the snobby comments below slagging people who go in here to get English food!? Obviously they're satisfied paying over the odds for a chicken kebab just as long as it is called something in Greek on the menu. I didn't come to Greece for the food you know, and If I did want authentic Greek food then NOWHERE in Tsilivi really does it. I rest my case.

Nicola G

Have read all the negative comments (and the positive ones!) and would say to anyone going to Tsilivi that what you see with Popeyes is exactly what you get. It's not a traditional Greek taverna, but does do good food.We went several times for breakfast which was great (the only place I found that did a greek equivalent to a fry up) but I wouldn't go there for an intimate evening meal; it's more for families. But I think that's pretty obvious before you go in.

Iain W

Excellent breakfast (Try the special). Excellent service. Reasonable prices. And they do serve Greek Food. They just try to cater for all people. For those people who didn't like it, You appear to be VERY DIFFICULT to please.

Debra C

Ok if you like english food, english people and english quick service. Might as well stay in the UK

Jon D

Karen and I would like to echo my fathers comments and say that Dennis, Nikki, Dennis (2), Spiros, Christopher, Pablo, Demetris and Co are all great friends and really help to make our holidays special. We have never had cause to complain about any aspect of the food or service at Popeye's and will return time and time again - sorry Dennis you're stuck with us all now!! Great food - especially Sunday lunch, and the "Best garlic bread in town!" We will all be back for 2 weeks from 28th September ( with 3 more friends to join the party) - maybe we will see Victoria, Stephanie and Donna out there ( make yourselves known!!) Don't forget to visit Nikos and Becky at Savvas Jewellers while you're in Tsilivi, they're both great people as well!

Paula H

We've been to Popeyes time and time again and love it. Dennis and Nikki are lovely people and the kids think they're great. The food is fab and a great time is always had.

Dave D

I find it amazing how diverse these comments are, and do not believe the proprieter Denni's, Nicki, Speros and the crew vary to this extent. SO IT MUST BE THE CLIENTELE. My family visit Popeye's for all the things that are good, but most of all to meet Denni's and his team again. Yes, we enjoy their company and will return to Tsilivi, and Popeye's later this year for two more weeks. If you see these comments, lets have another barrel of Becks Denni's, but go easy on the cigars. "So far so good" see you all soon. Wendy & Dave from Hampshire and Karen & Jon from South Wales.

Dan J

I must agree with most of the other comments below! The chicken we had looked like it had been culled from a flock of racing pigeons that had flown all the way from England.Absolute GARBAGE.Eat anywhere else,it's got to be better than this place.Even Dennis the doughnut seller on the beach gives better value for money than this poor excuse for a "GREEK" restaurant. Dan.

Ben C

Why go a beautiful island like Zante and eat English food? eat Greek food in Greece. We visited Popeyes once which was enough the head waiter was like a robot and told us how honoured we were to get a table.Kick Popeyes in the OLIVES and eat real Greek food at Manos Grill

Hedley P

I had read the comments on this page before we went.I was immediately disapointed on seeing it although it was very busy.We decided to try it and went up the steps.I noticed that nearly all the tables were for either 2 or 4 and we were a party of 5 .The head waiter told us he did not have a table for six - as if he was trying to tell us that he would be losing out by finding us a seat.We decided to wait anyway and he came back to advice us to go away for a drink and come back. When I eventually saw him grovelling around another group who had seated seperately whilst arranging a larger table I decided to go and never return.

Liz

Have just returned from Tsilivi - wouldn't touch this place with a bargepole!! Queues of sad English people waiting ages for a table when they could walk out of the centre a little and eat at a GREEK restaurant!!

Des W

Why Oh why come to Greece and eat English food!!! Don`t you know that the Mediterranean diet is one of the best in the whole world! Go on treat yourself, don`t like spicy? It`s NOT, good Greek food is simple and wholesome.Don`t turn this place into another Blackpool.

Les,andy,francis,(rillin S

WE HAVE BEEN TO TSILIVI FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS,AND ARE ALWAYS HAPPY TO EAT AT POPEYES,WHAT A GREAT GUY DENNIS IS,HIS WIFE AND STAFF ARE GREAT FRIENDS.

Sue F

the food was good and the staff and dennis could not do enough for us we tried lots of resturants in tsilivi and this one is certainly the best thats the reason so many people line outside and you don,t have to be drag in just try his yorkshire puddings

Mark H

I don't know why Popeye's gets such bad comments because it is actually quite nice. This is backed by the fact that it is THE busiest restaurant in Tsilivi. Dennis is really friendly & funny with his little sayings: - "so far so good" or "drive carfully". The prices are reasonable & they do the best breakfasts on the Island.

Alex G

looks like a down market english cafe why do people go abroad when all they eat are bloody burgers and chips beats me ?

Dawn B

we didn't eat her until about our ninth night because we never wanted to queue. it became the first restauarant we decided that we wouldn't return to! on the night we did go in we waited ages for just the drinks order to be taken. the owner/manager seems to want to be the only one to take the orders, obviously he thinks his staff aren't capable! we watched him take a table's order and half way through he didn't lke the way one of the waiters was laying the table so off he went to sup**vise, returning after another 5 minutes to complete the order! he greeted everybody in the same way "hello my friends, how lovely to see you again!" for quality see piero's.

Jo S

I can honestly say in all my travels to the Greek islands this is the worst meal I have ever had. Chicken died of old age it was that tough and as for service they were trying to move us before our knives/forks touched the table.

Pauline B

why does everyone queue to go into this place, so we thought we would try it, bad idea the food was way below par my souvlaki was tough and my veg & rice cold, my cheese pies for starters were cold in the middle. will not be eating here again

Geoff D

we have visited tsilivi 5 times and only eaten in popeyes ones enough said

Taffy S

If you like crap then this is the place to go. The service terrible, food very poor quality and quantity and the price high.

Lynda F

What a load of rubbish - glorified McDonalds but crap with it!! Whatever you order, they will come out with something else. Try the Premier just past the Red Lion if you want something decent to eat.

Sheila P

Chosen by 9-year-old grandson for lunch one day and we enjoyed everything we ordered - they made me a lovely cabbage and carrot salad and Danny got a voucher for a T-shirt in the shop across the road. Speak as we find - it was good for lunch with a nine-year old but not what us two would choose for an evening meal on our own, I am sure!!

Dan K

Heard it was good but looked like something off the north Norfolk coast and it's overlooking the busiest road jucntion in Tsivili too. Rollocks.

Having had the place recommended, we queued to get in waited ages and the food was not what we hoped for, the children had fish fingers and hated them said they were like the very cheapest you could buy and our meals were no better. The portion sizes leave a lot to be desired the childrens especially even my 4 year old commented on the 11 chips and 3 fish fingers (the fish fingers fair enough but he could not bear to eat them. The cost for 4 main courses and 3 soft drinks and 1 beer at £21 was not value.

The very best place to eat in Tsilivi.we recommend it to friends and all have loved it.Dennis the owner is a star and has sent us a Xmas card for the last 3 years.Eaten here every time we have visited Tsilivi in last 5 years.

Warren B

Very wide choice of food and what we had (after spending ages choosing!) was very good, the complimentary liquer at the end was an added bonus.

As someone's already said - the McDonalds of Tsilivi. Pricey for what you get, and dearer than most other restaurants.

Ian G

Very good for the kids.

Food, aptmosphere and service here ranks with the best in Tsilivee. Hello to Dennis, Spiros and the rest, see you again in October, Love Victoria, Stephanie and Donna.

In response to Liz 17 May. Food is really cheap. There was 3 of us and it cost about £20-£25 per evening meal. Excursions can be price. Cheaper to hire a car and see for yourself. Breakfasts cost about £2-£5 per head but branded drinks generally about the same as UK.

Darren A

Cheap food, great service and lots of free refills on coffee!

Oneway of knowning whether a restaurant is good or not (and you need advise when you are there for only a week ) is that you can tell if it is good or not, because they don't have a silly little man outside trying to push you inside and the place is always busy. They have a variety of food, including a kids meal and the kids even get a little prezzie

Jim P

Reply to Liz, 17 May. Food will cost anything from 2.00GBP to 13.00GBP depending on what you eat. Either way the food at Popeyes is great! But for if you crave some good old english food, try The Red Lion or The Troc (John's missus cooks a mean roast!)

It was the first place we visited once arriving in Zante and were frequent visiters after. The children loved the food especially our son Adam who loved the chicken wings. Avoid the Sea food platter it is a seafood shock! only if you like octapus. Would certainly recommed especially for families. Still receive a Christmas card after 3 years!
