Panorama Studios

Accommodation in Alykes

Alan &

click to enlargeclick to enlargeclick to enlarge We have just got back from 2 weeks at the Panorama Studios and once again had a brilliant holiday.  This was our third time at the Panorama and would like to thank Dennis, Perre, Mavra and Niki for once again making us so welcome. It was as if we had never been away!  Nothing is too much trouble for them.  We can't wait to return in September next year!  Mavra, we will be in touch soon to book!  Once again thanks for a wonderful holiday - love to Jack and Fox (the dogs)  and see you next year!!!!

Sally D

My family visited the Panorama in May 05... and were perfectly satisfied with the accomadation and service we received. Indeed the apartments are basic and our neighbours only had 1 knife and fork in their apartment.. but a quick work with the staff and any problems were resolved.

We took our two small children, one 3 years old and one 9 month old and had no worries about the cleanliness. In fact we forgot to book a cot and the staff were quick to find one and made no charge for the hire of it whereas most places charge £3.00 per night.

Ok I admit that Denis and his family were not the most talkative of people, but they were perfectly polite, very accomodating when we need them, they insisted on preparing a meal for us on our first night there as we arrived quite late, and nothing was too much trouble.

I have been to many of the greek islands and can honestly say that the standards at the Panormana are no worse and certainly as good as anywhere else i have stayed. If you are looking for 5 star luxury then i'm afraid you're travelling to the wrong part of the world. But if you want friendly people, beautiful scenery and want to be made most welcome then you can't go far wrong with the Panorama.

John E

Having stayed at various places in Greece I would say that the Panorama Studios were quite clean and well looked after.  On the down side I found Denis and family not as freindly as other places I have stayed.  They certainly were not unfreindly, but not as welcoming as other places I have stayed.  His daughters only served behind the bar when they had too and usually directed some poor local barman to do the work as it was clearly beneath them.   Having said that we had a good holiday and went on an overnight trip to Athens which was great (but very tiring!).

Sam & Peter

well said frank!

Mark L

We have stayed at panorama for the last three years and every time we have received a great welcome by all Dennis and his family are lovely people and make you feel at home giving you help and advise if needed.

The appartments are basic tradition greek style but clean and safe.  The pool is cleaned and maintained daily and i assure you as commented by some there were no rats at all i have three young children and they were at no risk whatso ever.
The night time entertainment was family fun related....quiz nights...bingo ...pool competition but the greek night is superb
and gets better every year...not to be missed.
The pool bar serves good quality food cooked by Dennis's wife Perre and is convienient and on equal par to the resturants in the village.
There is a relaxed atmosphere at panorama and you can do as you choose we were sad to leave but look forward to going back to see Dennis Perre Mavra Nikki and Nicos the barman and not forgetting Fox the dog.

I dont understand what that spoilt brat Ryan was on about, but i went to the panorama studios this year and had an excellent time. Dennis and his family were both very helpful and friendly to everyone. our apartment were cleaned daily by helpful staff and by the pool area was spotless.

Dennis' daughter Mavra (Delilah) was always on hand polite and friendly. This is definatly the best holiday we have had and we will see them again in July 2006.

lots of love

We have stayed at the Panorama for the last 5 years and have just booked for next year, believe me I would not return again and again if the apartments were as described in a couple of the postings on this site. Dennis and his family are some of the friendliest, most genuine, helpful people you could wish to meet, Nick the barman is not his son - they lost their beloved son in a tragic accident some years ago. Dennis works very hard to keep the aparments in good working order - if you have a problem you only have to say and it will be sorted. The only time you might see him in a dirty T shirt is when he has been doing repairs and popped into the bar for a quick drink before having a shower. The apartments are kept spotlessly clean, the bathrooms may be small (but they are not that small) and are more than adequate while on holiday. If you want a palatial kitchen with all mod cons and expect clean sheets everyday (who changes their beds every day at home!!) then stay in a 5 star hotel and pay 5 star prices. If you travel with Manos, see the information at the back of the brochure - it's all there about vacating rooms, bed linen etc etc. if you can be bothered to read it!! Dennis is one of those people who will always put himself out for guests, if you need to go to the pharmacy in Katastari he will run you there, and if you need to go to the hospital in Zante town he will take you nothing is ever a problem. As for the entertainment going on until the early hours - the music is always turned down once it gets to mid-night or just after, I've been to plenty of places where the music has gone on 'til a lot later. The Greek night at the Panorama is by far the best one we have ever been to, and excellent value for money - where in England could you have a meal and entertainment for 10 Euros!!! As I said we will be going back next year, and for many years to come, like a lot of other people we have met over the years. And we look forward to seeing Dennis and his lovely family again, and can only say a very big thank you for always making us so welcome.

Sam & Peter

As for rats, I have not seen a single Greek rat in all my visits, and I'd suggest that there are far fewer rats in Alykes than there are in central London!

Jean D

I've just read some of the comments on this site with interest and would like to clear up some points, but first just to say that I visted Panorama twice this year and twice last year. We went over once in 2003, with our terminally ill daughter (and had no issue with cleanliness or facilities despite her being on chemo at the time). Our first visit was in 2000, when my daughter was fit and well, this was the year that Dennis and family lost their precious boy, Makis in a tragic motor bike accident.

So why do we go back year after year, and why do we take friends and family who, in turn, can't wait to go back there?

The apartments are clean and basic (after all, the objective is to spend your time out and about, why do you need anything else). Locally, food is well priced and available. The Panorama itself provides good quality snacks and meals. Year after year Dennis has improved the apartments, he's put a new roof on the bar, he's installed air conditioning (and this also deters the mosquitos), he has tiled the area around the apartments where previously there was gravel. As a small family business man,he can't do this all at once.

The family are warm and friendly and although Dennis and his wife have limited English they make themslves understood. Their daughters Nicky and Mavra speak excellent Englsih ( better than my Greek!!) as does Nicos, who is the barman.

So Nicos smokes....it is well to remember that the Greek attitude to smoking is different to ours......

The pool is clean, well maintained and the only issue that I have ever had with it has been due to ignorant selfish guests.

The Greek night is the best I've experienced in 30 years of holidaying on Greek islands, and is excellent value.

As for rats, I have not seen a single Greek rat in all my visits, and I'd suggest that there are far fewer rats in Alykes than there are in central London!

I'd like to suggest to those people, who expect clean sheets and towels every day, those who want to spend their holiday cooking 3 course gourmet meals in their apartments and those who cannot read the signs that require apartments to be vacated by 10 am on the day of departure so that they can be cleaned for incoming guests, should find themsleves a nice 5 star hotel. Or, better still stay at home, and leave the Panorama and Zante to those of us who really appreciate it !!!!

Finally, if the Panorama is soooo bad, how come it gets fully booked on the Manos webiste so early in the season??????

Me and my family had a fantastic time here, the apartments were 1st class and cleaned daily by very freindly staff. The owner and his family were so accomadating and friendly they just could not do enough for us,on one occassion Dennis drove us to the doctors in the next village rather than let me get a taxi(Ihad an ear infection)The complex was always clean and the staff very friendly,we will be returning again in 2006 and cant wait.p.s The greek nights are brilliant.I would recomend this holiday to anyone.THANK YOU DENNIS AND FAMILY

Paul S

i have read most of the recent comments made about the Panorama ,some of which are scathing, and the others praising the place. I find it hard to believe that anybody could accuse Denis of being a sour faced man, or indeed any of his family or staff of being anything other than most helpful. In my opinion the Panorama is great for a beach holiday and also ideal if you want to relax.

The Greek night is brilliant and value for money.

Jean D

Becky

is this Ryan who was with his sister Jade?!

Ryan N

well to start with , just dont even bother !!! this place is a swamp , rats are rampant !!! the staff are rude beyond the joke, talk about clean !! clean !! these people dont know the first thing about cleaning. 1 CLEAN towel for 2 weeks ! bins , i had to empty my own bin because the cleaner decided to clean salt and pepper dishes in a shower outside. the smell at the back of the apartments is absoloutely terrible, the rats like to pinch food from bins NEXT to the APPARTMENTS!!

panorama is deffently not suitable for anyone never mind children.

On one ocassion my sister ( 11 ) was told she was NOT allowed to play the machines,  the staff decided to switch it off ! and told her to go, to " shooo " like a dog ! , who do they think they are ! dennis sad sour faced man .

i dont understand why theses other people rate this place as good or excellent , they must be on drugs ! everyone my family and i spoke to agreed with us and believe me manos will be getting a letter of complaint until they decide to shut down that swamp !

DONT LOOK AT THE PICTURES , THERE AS GOOD AS IT GETS , THE REAL PANORAMA YOU DONT GET TO SEE !!!!! DON'T COME HERE PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WASTE OF GOOD MONEY!!!! AND TIME !!!!!

Keith P

We found the accomodation at the panorama basic but adequate, the appartments were cleaned every day ,although the towels and linen changed once a week we were prepared for that.

Dennis and his family put on a great greek night which everyone enjoyed well worth going too.
with reference to the previous writer Dennis's son was killed in a car accident 18 months ago so who he was refering too we have no idea.In the two weeks we spent there last 2 weeks in august we never saw anyone 'with a fag in his mouth around the bar'.
we had a good holiday better than we expected, special thanks to bar man Nicos and all the people we met there were friendly.

Robert K

I have just returned from one of the worst holidays I have ever experienced.  In my opinion, ruined almost entirely by the utterly dreadful accomodation provided by the Panorama Apartments.

From the moment we arrived, the owner's son, with his surly attitude, who talked to us without even removing the cigarette from his mouth really set the tone.  The room we had was cramped.  Barely enough for two people, (they suggest  can fit 3 people in there, and god only knows how the family with a young child we saw coped).  The self catering facilities were apalling.  A dirty hot plate, and a rusty fridge, along with a frying pan and a big pot.  They supplied us with the bare minimum of plates (no bowls) a couple of plastic handled knives, no tin opener, no corkscrew, no grill, no oven.  the bathroom is the smallest room i have ever seen without a central heating boiler!  we were assured by our tour rep (Manos) that all greek apartements have such shoddy bathroom facilities, but this was only an excuse which couldn't make up for the burst hosework on the shower, the wobbly sink and the flooding.  I see other people here thought the family who ran the place were friendly.  Maybe they are, but don't ask for anything, or you'll be subjected to a tirade of abuse in greek from the owner while the son looks shifty and translates for him.  Did he speak English to other people? it seems like it from these reviews, but he wouldn't speak it to us, just hung around in a dirty T-Shirt looking sullen the whole time. To be fair to them though they did provide a brand new kettle.

The trip was topped off nicely as I was waiting for the bus to the airport.  owner's son decided it was appropriate to demand money from my girlfirend and I for staying in our room spast the check-out time of 10am.  he asked us for this at 4pm, without having bothered to tell us at any point during the day that remaining in the room would cost us money.  I did not pay.

My reccommendation would be to Avoid the Panorama.  It ruined my experience of Zante.  I won't be back ever.

Things of note are
The cost of air conditioning - 45 euros per week.
You only get one set of towels for your entire week.
Cooking facilities ake it impossile to prepare anything other than tinned soup.
No mosquito nets, yet lots of mosquitoes.
other apartments have their noisy nights on alternate nights to the Panorama so noise levels are terrible. Both Karaoke and Greek singing till early hours on about 3 of our 7 nights.

Linda C

We stayed at the Panorama in September 2003 and I wanted to post this report as I have have friends going to the island early next year. The panorama apartments were excellent value for money with friendly staff a fab bar and good snack food. Pool small but clean and rooms basic but cleaned every second day. We never had any problems with anything and although it cost to hire a fan for air con , it was well worth it. For the price paid for the holiday we couldnt fault it and Alykes is a nice small resort that is lively enough without being too rowdy ( ideal for familys and couples like us). Hire a car for a couple of days and you will see so much more of this beautiful island which we do hope to visit again sometime in the near future. The family that run the apartments were very nice although it did take a day or two to get really chatting . Oh and please do their greek night it really was excellent fun!!!

Oh and John is right , the airport on the way home is a complete nightmare with three or four flights leaving one after the other it really was mobbed with people , I have never experienced anything like it , take water and snacks with you and the wait wont seem as long!!

John H

These ratings are correct for my other review below.

John H

STAFF - all excellent

ROOMS - clean and comfy, simple, kettles, aircon (expensive) safe box, check fly screens are intact (mosquitoes)
AS A WHOLE - can't be faulted.  Nice pool and bar. Well maintained.
LOCATION - 5 mins. safe flat walk to beach and town. Beach lovely.
TOWN: not rowdy, family orientated and well behaved couples, plenty o choice. Our teenagers happy.
RESTAURANTS - try Skippies for the BEST value - fish platter superb, ask friendly owner whats best. don't be put off by simple basic look - food is excellent and cheap.
TOURS - go to town and book the turtle tour with Dionysus tours - take a snorkel.
QUIET COVE - Port Vroni - you'll need a hire car - well worth having for a few days. Get a small car.
TOP TIP - make sure you have snacks and water when you leave Zante, their departure lounge was a nightmare.

Here's a picture of the Panorama, the panorama from a distance and the bay it's set in.

Chelly M

We stopped here for 2 weeks and couldn't fault the apartments, they always seemed to be cleaning!!

The family that run it are really friendly, can't do enough to help you, the resort itself is in a  good location not too close to the centre as its only a 5 minute walk away.

If we were ever to go back to Zante we would definatly stop here again, and we both reccomend the greek night (we went to both!)

*If Pete or Claire read this - the email address i gave you isn't working so you can email me at chelly_matthews@yahoo.co.uk *

Maxine

Panorama was lovely!!  There isn't too much I can say that hasn't been said already but me and my boyfriend had a great holiday and will definately go back.  A nice quiet resort, but not too quiet - there was definately enough to do!!  Lots of bars and restaurants (Maestro and Palm Tree are the places to go)

Girls definatley look out for Niko and the greek dancers (1 in particular)!!

We had a brilliant time!!

Chris B

 Stayed August 2004.

We had a brilliant time here, it's about a 5min walk to the beach & top end of town. Near enough for everthing, but not the noise at night.
The pool & area was always clean with plenty of sunbeds. Great bar area & the greek night / bbq was always a good venue.
Dennis (owner) is a nice person, good to my family, quite friendly, as was Marva & Nicki his daughters.
We had 2 weeks of good hospility, great weather.
We are going back soon.

Anon A

I would just like to reply to the owners daughter who says that her father didnt know the reason the child was wearing a tshirt was for the risk of sun stroke, most if not every person knows the risks of sunstroke/ sunburn and especially with children id of thought that owning an apartment in zante he would have seen what damage the sun can cause to children if they are not covered up !!!

Pauline C

Just seen the comments from Anon July 04. Don't believe a word of it. We spent 2 weeks at the Panorama last summer and could not fault Dennis or his family. They couldn't do enough for us and they made our stay the best holiday we had. That good that we are going back (tomorrow!!) can't wait. Really looking forward to staying at the Panorama again and seeing Dennis and his family. This is the first time we have ever gone back to the same place so that says it all. See you tomorrow!

Sandra W

We have recently returned from our latest holiday in Zante, stayed at the Panorama for the 4th time. Had a fantastic time, the apartments are excellent, cleaned every day, comfy beds etc etc. If you have a problem you only have to ask and Dennis, Mavra or Nicki will get it sorted. Perfect location only 5 mins to the beach or centre of the village. Can't wait 'til next year, and yes we will be staying at the Panorama.

Mark A

We would like to thank all the staff of the Panorama for a lovely 2 week holiday [from 15th August 2004 to 29th August 2004]

The apartments are located in a quiet part of Alykes. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The facilities were excellent. The staff were super.

We were very sad to leave.

Mr A

We have to agree with Anon July 24 04. Having read the excellent comments regarding the Panorama, we feel to have been on a different holiday! We were given 1 bath towel and 2 hand towels for 2 of us and our son (changed once a week), for china there were 2 cups, 1 bowl (so my husband and I ate cereal from plates), and the tiny bins weren't emptied daily. Neither did we find the owners particularly friendly! The only person who made an effort was Katerina the cleaner who was really nice, and Nico was helpful aswell. If you didn't spend money on their facilities it appeared that the Leftakis didn't make much effort. The sharp reply from Mavra to Anon 24 July reflects the hospitality we experienced and we spoke to a few people who weren't happy with the cost of air conditioning in apartments. There weren't any safety markings and depths by the pool but during our stay a sign appeared after people had been swimming at night. Having said all that the beach, sea and town was lovely and we'd go back - but not to the Panorama!

Sue W

Further to the msg from Anon and Mavra's reply, I would like to add that Denis is one of the nicest, caring people I have ever met, he will go out of his way to help if there is a problem. While we were there this year a young lad had an accident in the pool (dived in and split his head open), Denis' was there immediately and his wife took the lad and his mother to hospital, and while they were at the hospital Denis rang every 20 mins to find out how the lad was he was so concerned.

Gary W

I think my family have really said it all, but I would just like to add that I had a fantastic time at the Panorama yet again, and can't wait to go back next year.
Changes this year included the addtion of air conditioning in all the rooms and bar, talking about the bar that had been completely re-vamped and is looking great.
All in all a fantastic place to stay.

Sue W

Location - excellent, just a few minuites from the beach and village centre, superby views across the salt flats or up the mountains from a lot of the rooms.
Accommodation - excellent, comfy beds, plenty of pots, pans, china etc
spotlessly clean (cleaned every day). All rooms have had air-conditioning fitted since we visited last year.
The hightlight of anyone's holiday at the Panorama has to be the Greek night, it is 'simply the best', I've seen many over the years, but this one is fantastic. They also have quiz nights, karaoke nights, bingo etc - all in all an excellent programme.
If you should have a problem speak to Dennis the owner and he will sort it out. You couldn't wish to meet a more helpful and friendly person, same goes for Mavra, Nicki, Pari and Nick behind the bar.
We have stayed at the Panorama for the last 4 years, and we wouldn't keep going back if we didn't like it, can't wait until next year.

Jake P

Just got back from the Panorama, and boy i wish i could go back! The location couldn't be much betta, 2 mins away from the beach and just in front of the historic salt flats. The views from our balcony were second to none, looking over the very picturesque mountain range.Whatever holiday your after, quiet or loud, then this is the place. The Panorama is just a minute or two from the bustling village centre which is full of themed pubs and clubs, which is perfect. The owners of the Panorama have to be the most genuinest friendly people i have ever met. Nothing is to much trouble for them. I really can't wait till next year!! Thank you to all connected to the Panorama for a absolutely fantastic holiday!

Ceri W

i have been going to the panorama now every year for 4 years and i think it is FANTASTIC, Dennis and family are the most genuine and nice people i have ever met, they really would do anything for anyone! the rooms are comfortable and have everything needed to cook meals, the views from the appartments are breathtaking, the town center and the beach are minutes away; all this makes for a brilliant, relaxing holiday!

Mavra L

im MAVRA LEFTAKI the daughter of DENIS LEFTAKI who owns the PANORAMA.And i would like to answer to ms/mrs ANON 24 JULY 04.As you know one of the pool"s rules is to do not swim with clothes.DENIS was not told by anyone the reason that the child was wearing a t-shirt was the risk of sun stroke!!DENIS has always been a very friendly and caring person, who does everything especially for children!!!This is the reason people who have been here they come again and again every year,we have regular costumers since 1999.{I WOULD PLEASE ASK FROM THE PEOPLE THEY HAVE BEEN HERE TO CONFIRM THE T-R-U-T-H> THANK YOU

Lynda K

As bill mccoy said, it was fantastic! We met bill and his family there and they, along with lee, gemma, rab, andy, emma, dave and everyone else made our holiday one of the best! Dennis, the owner is great as is his family, if you want to know anything or have a problem, see him (not the tour rep, he was hopeless!)We had a great time and i want to go back!

Bill M

WE JUST RETURNED FROM PANORAMA!WITH ONE WORD:P E R F E C T!ROOMS BASIC BUT VERY CLEAN!!THE BAR,THE OWNER WITH MAVRA&NICKY ARE THE MOST REAL PEOPLE WEVE MET.ANYTHING HAPPEN THEY WILL BE THERE STRAIGHT AWAY TO HELP YOU!THE FOOD IS VERY NICE,EVERY NIGHT IS SOMETHING ON.SATURDAY WITH GREEK NIGHT&BBQ IS THE BEST IN TOWN!!GO AND YOU WILL SEE!WE HAVE ALREADY BOOKED TO GO BACK AGAIN!LOOKING FORWARD FOR IT.

Anon

A group of us stopped at the panorama for two weeks in July 04. We found the appartments to be of a very low standard there wasn't a frying pan or plates when we got there and the bed clothes and linen were only changed once in the two weeks that we were there. In our party we had four children one of whom is disabled who used the pool for the first few days we were there only to be told by paul the manager that the kids were not allowed to use the pool if they were wearing a t.shirt when asked about the risks of sun stroke he told us this is what the owner Dennis had requested. In the same day paul then apologised and said that dennis the owner had only said this because he was in a bad mood. I wouldn't recommend any one with kids to stop at the panorama if the owner is willing to put childrens health at risk because of his mood swings. We then started use the pool at the back of the appartments which is the hotel Clio were the manager was so helpful and couldn't do enough for the children.

Julie J

Just arrived back (8th July 2004) Had the most fantastic week. Apartment cleaned every day. Comfy beds, everything you need for self catering inc kettle. Dennis the owner and his daughters will go out of their way to help in any way. Will def be going back.

Glenys M

We stayed here May 2004, If you want a quiet area this is it except on a sat night, Greek night fun but noisy, The socalled manager is a waste of space, but the owners are very nice. You might like to take with you, kettle, towels, plates, loo rolls, and a door wedge as there might not be a catch on the bathroom door we had only one bath towel(small) between us, and one dinner plate so if you want REALLY basic this is the place to go, Needless to say we will not be going back to the Panorama, but the town is good, the best places we found to eat were The Vine Leaf Monday nights, Relax english waitress, and Zorbas good food and very reasonable prices, but we had a good holiday. and finally fishermen/women take a few small hook, or do what i did buy the local greek hooks, the mullet are very tasty. happy holidays

Sarah T

ignore message below thanksx

Colleen B

Just got back last Friday, the appartment was kept spotlessly clean, had a kettle for a early mormning cup of tea. and the back views of the mountains are to die for. As my friends were staying in Amoudi Dennis and Nicos regulary telephoned for a Taxi for me. The Panorama Is a very nice out of the way place to stay ! Thanks for the very nice room.

M F

quite a small hotel, very basic. watch out for nico behind the bar ladies! staff very friendly

Shaun W

Had a fantastic time at the Panorama.
Nicely located at the far end of the salt pans from the town. Nice and quiet with beautiful views of the mountains. Studios in the original block are basic but clean. Face it, you only need somewhere to sleep!
Great pool bar. Good variety of snacks. Greek night and BBQ every Saturday is a must! The owner and his family work hard to make sure youo enjoy your stay. Good sized swimming pool and clean. No complaints of ear aches etc here. Thoroughly recommended. Don't tell too many people though cos we want to go back again in 2004.

Shaun W

Can ANYONE tell me if they serve draught Mythos at the pool bar?

Pauline C

We have just returned from our first visit to Zante (June 2003) and have had the best holiday ever! The Panorama Studios are ideally located for easy reach to the beach, bars and restaurants. The owners are very friendly and make everyone welcome. They lay on enterainment at the bar most evenings and their Saturday Greek Night & BBQ is well worth going to. The food served at the bar is excellent especially their English breakfasts! The apartments are basic but clean and there is an excellent pool to cool off in when the weather gets too hot! We will definately be going back!

Chris K

Stayed at the panorama July 2001. Excellent accomodation, fairly quiet and fantastic weather! The ideal location for a relaxing holiday. Beach, shops and many tavernas are a couple of mins away and well worth a visit. Wouldn't stay here if you are into clubbing (choose Laganas), however if you just want to chill out it's a must! Booked through Manos and had no problems at all. Will definately return one day!!

Paula H

a party of 13 of us stayed, loved every minute and if it hadnt been for an earthquake would probably make it a holiday place to visit time and time agai. love to dennis and family and also to nick, remember the england shirt?

Craig M

We stayed at the Panoram apts in October. The apts are basic i.e 2 ring stove, no kettle, hand held shower but they are in an excellent location with agood pool and good bar.

Kevin M

We stayed in end of May/beginning of June 02.After encountering a very unhelpful Manos rep we were treated extremely well by the family owners who took one of our party to Hospital when they received a bee sting and brought them back and not taking any money for it.Took another to the Bank in Zante town when the machines went down and even transported our party of 15 to a nearby restaurant, making several journeys.Their own Greek night was excellent and better value than the one laid on by Manos. No problem with sun-beds.Food very good value and always entertainment laid each evening.

Jo D

The apartments are in a good location, not far from the beach and resort centre. They were very basic - loo rolls were not supplied(!) and the cleaning was minimal. The pool is lovely and you do not have to fight for a sun bed. It was very noisy at night - mainly the motorbikes and a nearby bar. Take your own towels and ear-plugs and you'll have a great time!

Keith W

First visit to island. Good location, near beach and town. Very basic apartment, towels treadbare & marked (suspect pine furniture. Friendly family owner. We found the noise a big problem after midnight. Enjoyed sight seeing/trips. The 'train trip' from town through Katastari and into hills + museum/retaurant was worthwhile. Hire a car to see more of island. Excellent beach. Everyone very friendly

Alec R

two weeks at panorama studies 9/5/02--23/5/02 apts basic but clean.could do with better towel supply.changed once a week.not a lot of noise.good position for beach (10 mim.).staff very helpful.i had an accident(beware corkscrews) which needed hospital treatment.owner and his daughter took me zante hospital and waited for me.would not accept payment. temp.hot for may.only one bad meal in alykes town,at the paradise bar.used S.B. bar a lot and found nico & family very friendly. will be going back to alykes.

Philip M

Stayed in the Panorama in 2000, and returning in May this year, lovely apartments, would recommend them to anyone. Nice owners, good pool, and can't wait to come back soon!

We stayed in Panorama in June 2001 and going back again in May this year. We stayed on the top floor of the new block the 2 bedroomed apartment was new, well equiped and the views were amazing. Breakfasts were huge and very english at the pool bar. The owners couldn't do enough to help although we didn't have any problems at all. Would definately recommend.

we stayed at the panarama september 2000, may 2001 and september 2001. The family made us feel welcome last september and on our return we were made to feel part of the family. Accommodation is basic but clean.

Good family holiday, friendly owners of this complex, pool clean and safe for children, handy snack bar besides pool ideal for breakfasts and lunches. Cleanliness and maintanance of complex very good. In easy access to tavernas bars and shopping. A selection of beeches in walking distance of this accomadation.

This was our seventh visit to Alykes. The Panorama studios were spacious but Very Noisy. They have built a metal staircase to the second floor, and every time someone uses it they might as well be banging on a drum. The pool is small and did look very cloudy by the end of our 2 week stay. Room cleaning can best be describes as minimal. Try the Akis pool next door, the pool is bigger, cleaner, and the bar prices for food and drinks are very reasonable.

Good clean basic apartments. Great pool for all the family.

Nicely laid out apartments, set right by the great pool, we stayed there last year, but could not get in this year, as it was full. The family that own Panorama are really friendly, but be warned they like to play their music loud in the evenings, so as long as you don't want an early night you will be fine.
