Just to clear up the confusion over Beach House.
I can confirm that I have now signed contracts for both Beach House I and II for summer 2009.
In January Thomas Cook decided they would combine both properties under the name Beach House II for some reason known only to them. From today I have sorted this out and future bookings will be taken as in previous years (ie if you want BHI that's what you book, likewise for Beach House II).
Of course it may take a week or two for this to filter down to the sales team (and even longer to travel agents), so in the mean time, I suggest that you call 08448007787 and if you want to book Beach House I request a studio which sleeps 2 and use the property code GI1S00. If you wish to book Beach House II, ask for a studio that sleeps 3 (or the two bed apartment) and use the property code GI1S01. If the person you are speaking to is unable to do this, insist on speaking to a manager!!!!
I hope this clears up any confusion, and we look forward to seeing you all in The Virago next year!

   What has happened, i tried to book a stay at beach house and was told by manos they no longer have the beach house. i was very disapointed as i wanted to go there next year to celebrate my upcoming birthday,( the sort that end s with a 0) can some one let me know. Hi Mandy, you can book the beach house with Manos. There are 8 rooms holding 2 people each in BH1 and 4 rooms holdiny 2/3 in Beach House 2 plus a family apartment probably sleps 4/5 not sure. Hope this helps. | |

Hi Samantha, they are about a 15 minute walk away from each other. How well do you know Alykes? The Beach House is at the far end of town past the salt flats opposite The Apollo, and the Koukanaria is up the hill from the Relax restaurant in the cente of town. Hope this helps. | ||||||||||
