We recommend the Filled Mushrooms and Potato Skins starters. Ate here 3 times and were never dissapointed. Will definetly return.

well i didnt no what 2 put last time, now i do at first me an my family were bewilderd coz the green frog had moved, but we found it coz it was even nearer 2 our hotel. Everything had changed exept the good food an extra kind staff, but i still regret singing in the kareoke. thankyou mandy

The Best chef STEVE, The Best Waiting staff WOGGYBOY, MARIO and JULIE, The Best hosts NIKOS and MANDY, The best hairstyle PANAGOTIS! And the coolest dude ALEXI...... 10/10 Oh yeah and the best dishwasher on the planet ALVERA! This is by far the best restaurant/pub on the island. Pete is the king of PR. Wog is the king of waitering. Alexi is the king of being a cool guy and looking like peter andre lol. You have to go to this place and be sure not to miss killer pool in the nights and you have to try the local pint. We are all going to miss this place. Big up the Fonzy's of Swansea.

the green frog has moved down the road next to the green frog supermarket just up past the red lion it wasn't open when I was there but alex gave me a quick tour and it seems its going to be a hot place to go even boasting its own football pitch out the back

Is the Green Frog still open,only i heard last year that they were selling up and Mcdonalds were moving in?

We first visited Argassi in 1991 and fell in love with the place - we have now been back 12 times since and each time we always head straight for the "GREEN FROG" whereby you can guarantee on getting excellent food, drink and brilliant evening entertainment. Nikos, the owner is a double for John Conti, and he owns a boat!!!!!!

if anyone knows the where abouts of the green frogs first chef from last season can they let me know, his name is mark, lets say he owes people. leave any information on this page it would be most appreciated.

we tried to have breakfast here twice in june 2002 and again in 2003 each time we walked out after about 15 mins without being served i have never experienced such poor service in any other establishment we walked out of here and across the road to the big plate where we were immediately greeted by the waiter & shown to a table & our drink order taken while we decided on food the service,food & atmosphere were excellent, a complete contrast to the green frog(this was at 10am) from what we saw at night i would stay away from the green frog unless you can't do without bingo & coronation street!!!! i would advise anyone to stick to the greek run places

My partner and I have been to Argassi several times and we have eaten in the Green Frog more times than we can count. The food, service and atmosphere is fantastic. If you are going to Zante then try this place - you won't regret it!

The best English Breakfast in Argassi. Very filling. Great Service.

Ignore all the bad reports about this place it is the finest place in argassi by a hell of a long way me and my fiance rachel ate here for breakfast and evening meal it was superb throughout our 2 weeks (oct 5th - 19th) the people there were great, hi to you all if you read this hope you still have the card we left you, it's a must place to eat if you get the chance sheryl was always smiling and willing to make you stay a great one cheers

We eat most of our main meals here as it was the only place that people could agree on. There we six in our party with a wide age range and all were happy all the time. My sister would live on their milkshkes if she could get away with it!!!

Didn't have time to eat in this place but everytime we passed it had a good atmosphere for all ages to enjoy.

And if you are a stickler for your Sunday lunch - they have it - with pudding! It smelt and looked georgeous - unfortunately it was far too hot (and i had a bad hangover!) to actually pay a visit, but will definately be top of our list next time we come to Argassi

My daughter ordered pasta and it was cold she still insists mines better at home, I had the mixed grill and thought that the meat was not really cooked enough for me around the bones. Calimari was had by my hubby and daughter and they enjoyed, felt there was no atmosphere here at all.
The only good thing I can say is my little girl left her play jewellery here and they kept them until I went to collect next day.

We went to the Green Frog for our lunch just a couple of last week while in Argassi... I had read good reports about the place...

It took us about a good 40 minutes to get our food, and we had only ordered a bolognaise and a prawn baguette.... When the food evetualy arrived it was tastless and i was passed hunger....

The worst food in Argassi that we had... We would not recommend this to anyone...

GO TO THE PICADILLY AND YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED .

Went back to the frog this year after a couple of excellent meals there last year.

Is it just me, or were the portions a lot smaller this year? The food was excellent as usual, just not so much of it.

sorry chris how can you say it is hurriable. it the best resterant in argassi. i now the people that work there and they are always rushed of there feet they work really hard.i would igvise people to go there its really nice service is really good.u cant miss alex's singing on kariocie night.ive got good memorys of the green frog and its the best resterant around.i cant wait to go back.

Wouldn't have minded if the place was busy but there was only approx 3 other tables occupied at the time. 2 waittresses working there and both of them ignored us, far too busy smoking and looking bored.

The breakfasts here were the best we had, well worth a sample!

The worst meal we had in the entire two weeks. Had to wait 15 minutes before we were asked what we wanted to drink. They arrived after 30 minutes. Given a menu after 35 minutes (had to ask for it. Meal arrived after 1 hour 35 minutes, just as we were going to walk out. The meal was terrible!!! Two couples either side of us said they would never go there again. Others in our apartments also said it was the worst meal they had, by a long way and would never go there again. What makes it worse was that the evening we were there, it was only half full!!!

food was great so was the service.Made even better by Alex unfortunately missed his kareoke. Alex if you read this i'm still waiting for your email.

We came here on our last night but wish we found it earlier as it was the best meal we had all week, the menu was very english serving alot of english meals and there was alot to choose from, i would recommend anyone who is off to Argassi to definately come here, its just up the road from the Majic Mushroom.

Will someone please explain to me what all the fuss is about !!!!! Food was bland, service slow and no atmosphere.

We ate here on our last night, the service was really crap it took them an hour and a half to bring out our food and even then they got the order wrong. The food was nice but not the best I had in the week.

Was ok to eat but nothing special. A little pricey for some of the food

After trying other restaurants we were recommended to the Green Frog needless to say once you have eaten there you don't want to go anywhere else. The staff are friendly especially my friend Alex who does a mean Kareoke.

Got back from Argassi on the 18th of July, after a brilliant 2 weeks. Ate in the Green Frog nearly every night, staff were friendly, always busy so get there about 8ish to get a seat. Food was fantastic!!!!

I thought that the green frog was a brill restaurant to go to.Especially the service.n definately the FIT waitor. Hiya ALEX! erm... the food was really gud n all!

Just got back yesterday!! Brilliant food,(you've got to try the sizzling chicken, my favourite) The deserts were enormous and well worth the money. Very friendly staff and you definately can't miss ALEX singing on kareoke night! HI ALEX! See you in October xx

Me and my girlfriend Steff ate at this restaurant nearly every night and enjoyed the varied menu. The food was always tasty and fresh.
We also enjoyed winning the Pop Quiz night getting 44 out of 50.
We would recommend this place to everyone.

Very nice food and friendly service. The portions are massive so make sure you're hungry. Good value for money. My boyfriend and I had many good meals here. Would definitely recommend it.

I definately liked it here. Me and my boyfriend had a fry up everyday here at 8 in the morning-4 hash browns, sausage, 3 slices of bacon, loads of mushrooms beans, eggs all for the equivilant of about £2.50!! The meal we had in the evening was also lovely and quite cheap. I definatley recommend this.

The green frog was really good the meals were nice the karoke was great too and the waiters are really nice espcally Alex hes lovely!!! try the chicken kebab there lovely. I would recomend it here.

Greedy Frog burger is a must! Though make sure you are very hungry beforehand! Food is always good and is great value, though the service is very slow and I didn't think the staff were that friendly, though maybe that's because the place was always packed and they were rushed off their feet. Get there early if you want a good table.

Wonderful service, great food, great karaoke and amazing selection of songs. The staff were lovely. Would recommend this place. Fantastic sunday roast, went back the following week for it. We kept going back here in the day and at night. Such a huge selection of food on the menu.

A lovely place to eat the food was excellent and very reasonable and the staff were very friendly and efficient. You must try the cheesecake and the sticky toffee pudding they were delicious. P.S a big hello to Alex.

Atmosphere very good, Karaoke made the evening much more entertaining than just going out for dinner

never ate here, just used it as a bar when jessie the zany karaoke guy was there on fridays. he works so hard to entertain and he's no spring chicken!!a great place for recovering alcoholics..damn nearly impossible to get a drink!!!

This is our second year in Argassi and the Green Frog was no where near as good as last year, we were really dissappointed. Last year it was excellent this year it struggled with average.

We only went there in the first place 'cos our rep told us they done some excellent burgers. So when I was not feeling particularly hungry & just wanted a snack, went in and had a "Double greedy frog burger", or whatever it was called. What a mistka to maka! This thing is HUGE. Most piled high burgers will squash down to almost nothing with the weight of a hand on it, but not this one! I did manage to finish it though, but couldn't walk for a couple of hours after!!! Tempted by this, we went back a further two times & had the Gammon steak, (which was possibly the best I have ever had) & the almost obligitory Sizzling chicken, which really IS as good as you will read here. Service varied, but seemed to be much better if you get in early, (before 8pm). Overall, we couldn't fault it.

Although not serving typically Greek dishes, this restaurant was fantastic, breakfasts to die for, and evening meals that were excellent value and tasty, The Double Greedy Frog is a must.

I don't know if they were having an off night when we went but the service was slow. Saganki was like rubber and the squid was the chewiest I have ever had in my life! My kebabs were OK but the surf and turf my partner had was below average, steak was OK but scampi looked like the oil it was fried it was old/overheated.

Oh come on you lot. This place is by far the best value restaurant you'll go to, the Jack Daniels is a little overpriced, but the food is superb..I highly recommend the steak...thay actually cook medium rare how it's meant to be...and the service wasn't at all crap..Long Live the Green Frog!!!

August 2002 - We all enjoyed eating at the Green Frog. The only down side was the waiting time to get served. Also always check your bill carefully because they tend to add an extra drink or two. Please try the 'Sizzling Chicken' it is very very good (but many calories). We ate here on a number of occasions.

This place is so over-rated! The food was fine but the service was appalling and we didn't even get what we ordered! There are much nicer places to eat in Argassi so go to them!

The food here was GOOD, and luckily we did not experience the poor service others complain of. Also the are a variety of dishes on the menu to suit all tastes (not just English Dishes as one person complained). We did get roped into a General Knowledge Quiz - not always appreciated whilst you are trying to eat ?

Ate here three times in the fortnight! Food was brilliant but agree with some of the others regarding the service (could have been better!) Didn't put us off though!

One of the best places to eat in Argassi, the Chicken Fajita's were wonderful(if a little expensive) but well worth it. Excellent children's menu, and we didn't have to wait too long for the food, went there 3 times and each time everything was very good.

This place is beyond rubbish, I'd rather eat at Pitsea tip sitting next to Roy Chubbie Brown! There's this stupid loud mouth git who does kareoke on a certain night while you eat! He can't sing and worse than that he gets the kids (no offence to children) to run around taking people's shoes, watches, bras for a "great game kids". Avoid at all costs, and the service is diabolical.

We have just come back from Argassi and this resteraunt was the best! The food was lovely! The waiters and staff were very freindly and the owner and cheff are from england.

Have to agree with Kevin!!!! Food (when we got it) excellent, but when you have 2 little hungry ones with you a hour wait is a bit too much, gave them the benefit of the doubt and returned one mornig for breakfast when there was a handful of people, still same service, waited 45mins for beans on toast!!!! What a let down

Service was the slowest I came across. It took an hour between ordering and receiving food. This spoiled the fact that the food when it arrived was excellent. Mousakka the best tasted. Didn't go back again however

we were waiting for about an hour and a half for meals and when they finally arrived we all decided to leave

Went here loads of times absolutely lovely, great deserts good lunches, all served with a smile, superb place.

The food here was lovely but it took along time to get it. We were in there at about 9pm one night and didn't leave till about 11pm. My boyfriend didn't even get his dessert that he ordered. They were busy but very slow. We only went there once. Too slow for us, we were starving by the time we got the food.

Green frog was ok but once we went there we did not go back - The reason? To englishy with english waiters and stuff! I dont understand people who go away from the uk and then have English Breakfast everyday and stuff like that! Stop being lazy and walk up the hill to Target (or get the minibus if u want!) its amazing!! about half price of green frog but better food and a great view!! or get on the horse and go to illision!! its great also! Nad !!

Excellent service, especially Lisa,Lucy and Sarah!!! The "sizzling chicken" had to be the best meal on the menu, considering that my Dad and I had it almost every night! Service was a bit slow on occasions but I think this was probably becuase it was heaving. When it did arrive it was well worth the wait. Briliant choice on the menu, so much to choose from it was difficult at times. Found it quite cheap compared to some places too.

Service not that good at times. But the food is well worth the Wait.

The best English breakfast in Zante!

IF YOU ARE GOING TO ARGASSI THEN YOU MUST VISIT THE GREEN FROG. THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT AND THE ATMOSPHERE ALSO. IT IS ALWAYS BUSY AND YOU MIGHT HAVE TO QUEUE FOR A SHORT TIME, BUT IT IS WORTH IT. TRY THE CHICKEN DIABLO (VERY NICE).

Food good Service poor

We had dinner here a couple of times and it was always good food, the garlic mushroom starter was pukka. The staff were very welcoming and the activites they put on were great, all the three couples we were with won on the bingo, whoppeee. Id recommend this for the food and the atmosphere.

i think this is the best restaurant on the whole island.i go every year and so far no other restaurant comes close to how good and well priced the meals are.how friendly the staff are and also the wide variety of meals they cook there 4young and old alike.they also have wicked karaoke ngts which are a rgt laff.nikos and mandy really no how to make a good holiday turn into a superb holiday....thanx u2 keep up the good work.cu again soon.from the wolverhamton bunch

I think some of you may be taking Mike's comments too literally (a tad sensitive perhaps??) To be honest I thought it was amusing - it reminded me of a comment made by a group of Scots guys from Falkirk in Zakynthos airport in May. They were all going on about dying for good Scots food and one of them decided to take orders for a carry out to await them when they arrived home. When he phoned in the order and asked for 24 Chicken Chow Mein's, I'm not sure that the irony of the situation struck home. The Green Frog is always packed, it's not my personal cup of tea but it obviously is for others, so lighten up and live and let live. You're supposed to be going on holiday for Gods sake!

I don't agree with Mikes comments below, The Green Frog was one of the restaurants that you knew you would get a good meal whatever you ordered, I must admit we were a bit dubious at first, and didn't try it until later in our holiday, but because we had heard so much about it on the Argassi web site, I suggested we tried it before we go home, just to say that we had been, but once we tried it we ended up going back twice more. Our daughter enjoyed drawing a green frog and colouring it in, paper and pens provided there, even our 17 year old son ended up having a go, all pictures are pinned on the wall after, so he was a little bit embarassed. We really enjoyed it, and all the staff were great.

Everything here was brilliant from food to entertainment.

theres a group of 9 of us, and we all had a brilliant time at the green frog, with 5 kids and 4 adults, we got given sweets and balloons 4 the kids and all the kids meals were great, so were the adults meals, Green Frog, WE LOVE YOU!!! Wouldn't take much notice of Mikes coment below. He obviously didn't eat there yet felt he had the right to slag off those that did. Granted the food isn't local but sometimes it's not easy to get your children to eat 'foreign' food and in that respect the Frog is a godsend for parents. I'm certainly not a 'Wayne' and actually Mike I don't smoke. The food at the Green Frog is well cooked and reasionablly price, especially again if you've a large familiy to cater for. We can't all afford to take the whole family to Coursiers Mike!!! Get a life!!!

Bear in mind we didn't eat there as we like to try lots of different types of cuisine but it certainly seemed very popular indeed with those of the 'I'm not eating any of that foreign muck' brigade'for whom pie and cips and peas is the very peak of culinary adventure. It's a great place to have a beer and watch the Karaoke for an hour on a Friday evening but it's far better to sit next door at Corsers Chinese restaraunt next door and simply take in the sight of numerous Wayne and Waynetta's, red raw and covered in yoghurt after one day in the sun, ambling in with their little Robbie and Britney's for some good old anything and chips and chating their mantra of, 'They cover everything in olive oil, don't they?' Smoking between courses is de rigeur at the Green frog and for a large percetage of their clientelle, smoking between mouthfuls! :-) Still, it was 'very' popular so knows it's market and was always busy and is worth a visit simply for the tall blonde girl who works there who should be on a catwalk somewhere.

Good place to visit for breakfast-one of our favourites was the Dutch breakfast-not too greasy!

It was okay, the reviews on this site would suggest it was better.

Have just spent seven nights in Argassi, we spent six evenings, one lunch and two breakfasts at the Green Frog. Food was fantastic, a great menu. Service was more than friendly. Staff treat you like a friend. Worth missing all the others for!!

we have been to argassi on 3 occasions now and we are returning in july 2003.one of the reasons we had a great time was 'the green frog ' nikos and mandy made us feel welcome and remembered us even after we missed a year .this to me says a lot.the food was to die for ,a varied menu of excellent quality,english food for the less adventurous,friendly efficient service & prices that were very reasonable. all that is left to say is "roll on next year"

Nice staff, nice cats, wanted to bring them home! Plenty of choice on the menu, good for breakfast. Sky news was essential to keep in touch.

Food good. Far to English the menu. Good if you are a sad englishman on holiday who wants pie and chips or a sunday roast.Your on holiday get a life and try something different!

My first time to the island and we found the green frog on our second week. big mistake sould of gone there from the first week as the food, service and price is very good plenty on the plate, nice and relaxing enjoyed the karoke and all the best for next year. we will definately return there.

One of the best restaurants in Argasi! Good service ,plenty of choice and the price is right.What more do you want ? Always busy even for breakfast. We ate here more than anywhere else.

4th year to the island, and have eaten at the green frog countless times, this year travelling from kalamaki to argassi so we could enjoy the food and hospitality. Mandy,Nikos and all the hardworking staff always welcoming . tried steaks, pasta dishes, salads and breakfasts amongst others, all excellent.

Anyone reading this will go to the Green Frog at least 3 times during their holiday because its very good food and nicely priced too. Definitely recommended.

Really good food, service was good and the people were friendly. We had quite a few meals here and we really enjoyed them all. Would definately recommend eating here.

We stopped in Argassi a week and went for our tea 3 times during our stay! The food is excellent, and there is a massive choice if you go to Argassi you must eat here.

We spent a lot of time at this place and when our flight was delayed they stayed open for us I thought the service they gave us was excellent, I really enjoyed the greek nights they put on everyone got involed it was a great holiday I think the greek people are great.
