I haven't been, but just tried to book and there are some road works 50 metres from the entrance and they are building a new Hotel very close to Poseiden Beach Hotel. We have booked into Victoria Hotel instead.
Hi, its Matt Barlow, I placed a comment below about the building work and I am now in Zante, and here until the 28th June. As I drove passed the Poseidon Beach Hotel on the way to my hotel I couldn't see any biulding work and as for the road works 50M away I couldn't see that either. Sorry I can't comment on the hotel, I am not staying there
I am currently staying at Victoria Hotel and I is OK. The below comments are fair the breakfast isn't worth bothering with at all. The pool is a decent pool with plenty of Sun lounges, clean and quite large. I wouldn't say the staff are the most friendly. The Fridge cost 8000 Dch (16 quid about) and the Air Conditioning cost 21000 (42 quid) for the 2 weeks. It is a really good location right on the main street but it is also the quietest section of the main street. The Hotel bar is OK, good to start the night or to end the night, but not an all nighter. Any questions please ask while I am here, I am here until the 28th June 2001.
The Bee Garden is a MUST to anyone. The food was absolutely glorious, we both had Sizzling Garlic Chicken a starter each and a drink and it cost 11300dch, about 22 quid, not the cheapest meal on the menu by no means but well worth the money
The food is really nice here. Well worth a visit and the price is really good!
It was FANTASTIC. I am a Jet Ski Fan and I went on them 3 times. Because of confidence I like to very fast, spin Wave bounce and have freedom on where I go. Argassi gives you this. 1st Time Jet Skiiers and for Top Safety go to St. Nicholas' Beach
I forgot to Mention, they are really expensive compared to when I went to Mexico. Here in Zante it is 10,000 Drch for just 15 mins. So about 20 pounds which is expensive.
I also found St Nicholas Beach to be my Favourite. Free Transport, but the bus leaves Laganas at 10am and it sets off back at 5pm, so you are dictated travel times but it is 12quid in a Taxi each way. I went Scuba Diving it cost me 34quid which was 20 mins lecture and 20 mins dive including all equipment. You pay a further 6 quid for a photo and other payable options of a video for 20 quid another dive for 20 quid and a Tee Shirt for 8 quid. Jet Ski-ing is Ok. Still as expensive, it is 20 quid for 15 mins, or 30 quid if you have 2 on one Jet Ski. The Beach is the best at Zante.
I agree on the prices but all of the resorts are the same price. Zante is expensive for Water Sports! Go to Acapulco, Mexico. It was 20quid for 45 Mins irrespective of how many passengers.
I didn't like this Hotel. We had to Move from Victoria (see Victoria Hotel for Comments) and this Hotel isn't a scratch. Bring your Ear Plugs. It is right opposit a Bucking Bronco and a shooting Range which is very noisey, Mopeds drive up and down the main street all night until about 1am. I didn't have a Fridge or TV in my room. Aparently you have to request a Fridge upon Arrival (which isn't what I was told) The breakfast is terrible. Like below, Coffee, Bread and an Egg. Don't dare ask for 2 Eggs ! The Staff didn't see helpfull. The Bar Man was a very nice man indeed, well worth Tipping and 1 young girl at reception is nice, but the older woman is very morbid! I didn't see 1 film while I was there. 1 PC for the internet. I wouldn't like to stay there for 2 weeks!
It is the Biggest shame that Victoria has Legionniares disease. We got told on Thursday (21st June 2001) morning that we had to move hotels. Airtours were one of the first tour operators to move out. Just to Answers the questions below - The rooms were quite small unless you are a family then they are big enough for 4 people. They are clean and the showers have a basin and some have a curtain - which compared to our replacement hotel Epseria, that is good going. The bar staff are friendly. I never saw anyone called Charlie and there was no pool entertainment, that may come later on in the year (if it re-opens this year, Airtours are not renewing their contract this year!) Although I didn't like the breakfast it is miles better that anywhere else, at least you get Kellogs Corn Flakes, Water Melon, Ham and Cheese and Breadroll, you can have as much as you want and the waiter is friendly. I though Victoria was average until I stayed at Esperia. The best English Breakfast is at Robin Hood (next to Epseria) and Bonanzza (if that is spelt right). <<<<<<<<<<< Colin Richardson >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Alexander Apartments - Sorry fella, I don't know where they are. I leave tomorrow, but If I find out, which I will try, I will let you know. The Best thing to do, is ask the travel agents, when I went, they had a location plan of the whole Lagana resort and location of Hotels! That might help! I mentioned above about Charlie. Pubs for kids 8-14? Cocktails and Dreams and Pink Panther was liked by a friends 2 daughters (ages 12 & 14) Most of pubs aren't too bad, Rescue and Zerros are no go's for kids. I leave tomorrow - I will place more comments and answer questions when I get home. Hope my comments have helped people JustZante.co.uk is the best thing since slided bread!
Andre the Swedish barman would like any strong men to volunteer to inspect his anal cavity with their tongues and oily peckers. Andre would also like any men at all to take him for a drink because he is a lonely boy but once he comes out of his shell he becomes a rampant homosexual predator
for some unknown reason i am logged on as some fag called Matt Barlow but anyway Ryan Houlton is a maccabod and anyone wishing to trade back issues of "Boy Talk" magazine should visit 52 cranley and ask for sambod
