Porto Zoro Beach - (Beaches in Zante)

I was at Zakynthos in 1995 and am going back for 2 weeks on june 5th. What I remember best from the first time I was there was this beach which had some amazing rock pillars in the water (with err... flowers on them - who would have guessed? hehe), with loads of coral-like rocks and rainbowcoloured fishes under the surface. Beware of stepping on the black spikey critters that are in the waters around most beaches, they seemed to like the rocks extra much. But for a coward like me who don't dare scubadiving, it was great fun snorkelling around these rocks looking at some amazing fish. It wasn't very crowded either. Looking forward to going back there this time 'round, hope it hasn't changed much! :) // Lina

Navagio Shipwreck Beach - (Beaches in Zante)

The beach is incredibly steep, just walking a few steps and you go from kneedeep to not touching ground. The beach consists of big round white rocks, also underwater, which were exciting to step on, as they slid away under your feet so you'd almost have to -crawl- up on the beach, hehe! But they were really soft to walk on so it wasn't unpleasant. The white stones made the water the most fabulous picturesque greenblue shade, absolutely stunning. I didn't bother much about the ship, but swam around exploring the little caves around the edges of the bay instead. :) // Lina
