Paradosiako - (Restaurants in Alykes)

Nicky A

The best restaraunt in alykes/alykanas by far. Our little boy Aiden absolutely fell in love with the waitressess. Will be sending you all a photo soon whenI get round to it. Thankyou for looking after him and babysitting him as he has mild autism and can be very difficult. It gave us and our daughter a break. Fantastic, friendly staff and excellent food all at reasonable prices in a nice location where you DON'T get bothered by rose sellers as you do in the centre.Nice wine too. Sat overlooking the river watching the horse and carriages go by, very idyllic. We loved it and are going back next July.Thankyou to you all for making our holiday very special. Nicky, Gerry, Laura and Aiden

Vertzageio Cultural Museum - (Places to Visit in Zante)

Nicky A

we visited this very interesting museum by the little road train from alykanas. My two children aged 10 and 5 loved it. It was very informative. The museum used to be a school and is now owned by Spiros who also owns the local taverna. He also renovated the little village church. The desk he sat at school is in the museum, fascinating place. He's a very friendly man and gave the kids free ice-creams. The whole trip was much better than anticipated, only went on it because my little boy had nagged to ride on the train whole holiday. We were pleasantly surprised and only wish we'd done it earlier in the holiday rather than the last day because we would have defnitely gone back to Spiros' taverna for a meal.
